Read the latest MK Ultra comic by Peter Lynn. Updated every Monday.
Has the mainstream Canadian media stooped so low as to borrow ideas from (no offense) obscure web magazines? Or is the National Post’s Jeet Heer a pseudonym for Jay Fothergill (or vice versa)? Anyway, I thought this might interest you and your readers.

Hello.

We were planning to publish new material this week as if nothing happened last week, but that has proven hard. For some reason. These are strange times into which we have entered. We, like you, felt previously unthinkable sorrow when this happened, and we have grappled with trivial things in the days since. Things such as whether or not to respond to this tragedy on our silly website. And, were we to respond, whether entering the political realm amounts to taking ourselves too seriously.

Ultimately, it probably does, and yet not enough media sources have been willing to state the obvious: that everything that is happening now is entirely political. The impending American response should be viewed above all as a reassertion of their power. This "war on terrorism" comes from a nation whose government has played a direct role in countless acts of terrorism and the politically-motivated murder of millions of innocent people around the planet in the past decades.

We mourn for the latest innocent victims. And we encourage all of our readers to stay informed. To that end, we offer the readings below. We’ll be funny again soon.

Peace and love,

John MacFarlane
Shaz Sheibani
Omer Rashid
