Ask Godina Accident ...

Here was my letter.

Dear Godina,
My cat barfs on my pillow nightly. It seems to be purposeful. What shall i do?
Catpukedout in Florida

Dear Catpukedout in Florida,
Honey, if your pussy is rejecting what you put in it, perhaps you should try something new.
Love, Godina.

BAAhahahaha. I love you, Shel.

Thanks, Martin, for your help fixing my permalink problem and for your kind wishes for all of us over here through this awful thing. Scottish bloggers rule.

Jerry Falwell says he's sorry about [anyone outside his little world hearing] his comments about gay people causing the tragedy. He tells CNN he was quoted out of context, but if you read that first link ... he still thinks what he said was true. How nice.

Why South Florida is tied up in every weird thing that happens ... Apparently, we mind our own business.

Because I will say that I know nothing about Afghanistan, because I want the United States to do the right thing, because I don't know what to believe but I kind of think this is true:

When you think Taliban, think "Nazis." When you think Bin Laden, think "Hitler." And when you think "the people of Afghanistan" think "the Jews in the concentration camps."

We come now to the question of bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone Age. Trouble is, that's been done. The Soviets took care of it already. Make the Afghans suffer? They're already suffering. Level their houses? Done. Turn their schools into piles of rubble? Done. Eradicate their hospitals? Done.

When you live in a gay neighborhood, and there's a patriotic candlelight vigil, what do people sing? Well, in Belle Meade, it was New York, New York and I Will Survive. ;-) God bless America.

This site is so good, so well written, so detailed and horrifying and gorgeous that I want to tell everyone around me to pack up and just fold the newsroom and go home. We will never touch this:

"... they handed out these sandwhich's made by local school children. I mean, you could see the tiny little fingerprints in the bruised white bread with peanut-butter and jelly. I looked at the woman eating in front of me, and when she pulled out the sandwich, a little blue note came out and in big, crooked letters, a child had written "I LOVE YOU," and drew a big sunshine and stick people. Okay, I just broke down again. All of the sandwhich's had little notes in them and hungry as I was I couldn't swallow that kind of unconditional kindness."

If you can't get outside at 7 or 10 or whenever it really is tonight, try this. I feel better. [thanks, michele]

Although I'm still crying at odd times, I think I'm feeling better. I'm beginning to re-experience my appreciation for the absurd ... the rock-station medley of callers' comments cut in with Linkin Park, Creed and Kid Rock ... MTV reminding viewers that you can't give blood if you've had a tattoo or piercing in the last 12 months ... "locking" my keys in my car at the doctor's office and then realizing my locks don't work ...

Out, out, cursed dots! Or something like that.

Also, booties needed for rescue dogs ... from dog lover bumble. [Also, if you're in Raleigh, NC, she can hook you up with gay-friendly pet-sitting.]

From the people who brought you housewives who become lesbian witches [and the problem with that is ... ?] and a prayer that could turn back a hurricane, Falwell and Robertson proclaim it's feminazis and homos that caused this whole thing.

Why do these guys say these outrageous things and no one among their own objects? Can they really believe such things? I grew up with this kind of religion but I knew as a kid the day they explained why they were passing the plate for Anita Bryant that the church was wrong. ... I didn't even know I was gay then.

We gave money to the ::brrrr:: Salvation Army, the paper flag is in the window, and now there's only one thing left to do:

Secede. Florida simply must secede from the rest of the nation. Your honor, if it please the court I'd like to enter the following into evidence:

Exhibit A: One small, increasingly annoying boy.
Exhibit B: A populace that cannot vote properly.
Exhibit C: ACME Terrorist Flight School.

This just in: 12 of 19 lived HERE. Why is this weirdness ground zero?

A good tonic for the WTC Blues: DogNoses [thanks, Jason]

Things that I guess you wanted to know ... ? ...

Gay Muslims think what happened in NY was very bad. And that guy who called his mom from the plane was gay.

Help. I just looked at this page in Netscape and it's pretty unreadable. Can anyone tell me how to get the dots around the outside of the table as I have in IE rather than the total dot-o-rama I have in Netscape? I didn't think I'd done anything tricky; it's just tables.

Jason is archiving WTC-related blogs. If you saw something you thought was especially moving, email him. He's got a bunch of news archives up, too.

Rossi just checked in with an account of the towers falling.

I admire everything everyone wrote about the World Trade Center/Pentagon situation. I really had no words, but Michele showed me this picture. I flamed some idiot who tried to sell a burnt document from the building on eBay ... the auction was withdrawn later but I think eBay probably did that.

"Ask seller a question!" And did I.

I see angels Mickey ... comin' down for us from heaven. I feel their feathered wings ... I see you ridin' a red horse ...

Anyone who's ever had a heart

Anyone who's ever played a part
Wouldn't turn around and break it

New Yorkers, couldja drop an e-mail or call? Miami is worried.

OK, I know that Crayola had to change some crayon colors from when I was a kid. Indian Red, although they had some reason it wasn't really about Indian people, had to go. Flesh, which really only matched Band-Aids, was a goner. But why would they add a color called Beaver?

[Another thing you must do: Read In Passing ...]

If you've never watched bridal shop Flash pages while listening to 1000 Homo DJ's Supernaut, you simply must.

Woman whose father is black, mother is white joins all-white Alabama sorority.

Houston said she felt "very, very accepted" by sorority sisters. ...
"Lots of times they would forget what they were talking about, and n-words would go flying like bullets," Houston said
.

So ... other than that ...

This just in from the AP ... she was so accepted there that she dropped out the first semester of school. She later came back to school but is an "alumni member" of the sorority these days.

I admit it: When Ellen was in the closet, I talked a lot of sh*t about her. I thought it was completely ridiculous that she wasn't out and ... oh, why rehash all that?

Anyway, she showed what she's made out of today when she refused to talk about Sister Anne Celestia from the Fourth Dimension. I take it all back, hon.
