Vertex extend their use of PTS consulting services. In addition to the technical services provided to help Vertex deliver their HR solution in May 2001, PTS have been asked to supply more consultants for a longer period of time to help Vertex implement phase 2 of their R/3 project. PTS will help Vertex add Finance and Logistics functions to their existing HR implementation and will be onsite until the end of 2001.

November 2000
AstraZeneca call on PTS to help them complete an R/3 implementation by New Year. AstraZeneca, a company long associated with PTS, ask for PTS' assistance in bringing in two implementations of R/3 that must go live for the New Year. As well as building the IT infrastructure, PTS also helps AstraZeneca implement connectivity solutions using EDI software.

October 2000
PTS becomes technical consulting partner for Vertex Ltd. PTS are asked by Vertex to help them implement their R/2 replacement system comprising an initial implementation of HR followed closely by Finance and Logistics modules. PTS will initially supply a project advisor and a lead technical consultant until at least May 2001.

PTS becomes support provider for Sheffield Hallam University. Supporting the R/3 system which is used for their Msc program that includes an R/3 Academy, PTS performs all aspects of Basis work.

SAP UK Education bestow preferred supplier status on PTS for its services to Basis training. Following years of unparalleled training services to SAP and a lengthy tendering process that several major companies, PTS is awarded an accolade for its training expertise. With this award, PTS will now be considered as a primary source of Basis trainers for SAP UK. This means that the success that we achieved in 1999 with customer and academy training will continue and improve in 2000!

SAP Norway ask PTS to conduct their Basis Academies. Having seen the success PTS brought to the UK Academy, SAP Norway were keen to ensure that the Scandinavian consultants received the quality training afforded their UK counterparts. The Nordic Academy - as it is called - differs slightly to the UK Academy in that participants are allowed to come and go at pre-defined break points within the course. Participants also get exposed to UNIX and NT information during their time at the Academy.

SAP UK request PTS' expert help in the development and delivery of technical training for their breakthrough 'Role-Based' training initiative. PTS have been asked to identify the type of technical roles requiring such training and to develop highly focused material. This new type of training material will concentrate on job-specific tasks and will ensure that the people for whom SAP training has not been an option till now, will be able to receive quality technical training to help them support and administer SAP R/3 systems.

SAP UK award PlatformTechnology Services the contract to teach the Basis Academies through 1999. A minimum of six technical academies are scheduled for this year - with more available upon demand. PTS will supply trainers to present SAP's UNIX/Oracle and NT/Oracle academies giving delegates the best possible opportunity of becoming excellent Basis consultants and of passing the certification test.
