Our guard dog's picks of top attractions...as ranked by us, of course.

All this hard work and no play makes web designers...dull? Or something. The forums are going mad. We're going to need more moderators soon so if interested, e-mail us! We had to start a new section for resumes, and thought we'd go ahead and throw some other categories in there while we were at it (it was getting a bit cramped.) So, feel free to contribute.

We're landing in excess of 1,000 qualified visits as of about a month and a half ago, but haven't had the time to say anything about it until now. PlaidVinyl is starting out pretty good, we'd still like to encourage anyone interested in airing out some Denver music reviews a chance to do it!

That's about all for now, have a good weekend.

Yet another example of great talent, visit My Pet Skeleton.

PlaidVinyl.com is looking for freelance writers and musicians who would like to try their hand at local reviews. Anyone may apply, experienced or not. You will not be paid, but will be compensated by knowing that others will be able to review and comment on your reviews, and knowing that you'll get exposure and experience. If you are interested in applying, contact them via e-mail at info@plaidvinyl.com.

It's really crazy when you think about how much talent is out there, graphic design and otherwise. This site highlights an actual competition (sort of a volley back and forth) between some of the leading designers of our time. If you feel like becoming truly inspired today, visit http://www.coudal.com/.

It would be difficult to find a more bloated and unorganized monster than Network Solutions. There are so many ways the registration process could be improved, as pointed out by sites like register.com. Unfortunately, Network Solutions still controls a good deal of domain names and apparently hasn't been convinced they need to change the way they do business.

Here's a little hint: if you expect people to use the web and your service for business, then the response time also has to also be adequate for businesses. Waiting a week before mail records or nameservers can be changed because contact information has been changed is unacceptable. How many businesses do you think would have a hard time with e-mail being down for the better part of a week? What would businesses in turn do if the same thing happened to their phone system? Likely read the phone co. the riot act, I imagine. Web businesses (ALL of them) need to be held to the same standards as everyone else, esp. companies like Network Solutions that control such an important component.

Bath and body care products, especially good ones, can be hard to find if you want to steer clear of the mega-malls and the like, and perhaps even develop your own custom products for gifts or just for yourself. We've found a nice little virtual shop however, that lets you do just that. Wingsofascent.com specializes in a number of therapy and body care related products, and is tailored to allow the shopper an unparalleled amount of body care product customization. We're so fond of the products ourselves, we wanted to share them with everyone else! For more information, visit their site at www.wingsofascent.com. They also told us that if you mention you heard about them here, they'd throw in a nice discount or some freebies too!
