i really need to come off my high horse. yeah so i was priviledged enough to be enrolled at, in my opinion,a fine institution for higher learning. make no mistake,i still believe there are problemswith the college education system in general (more on that later). however, its unfortunate that people suchas myself sometimes misuse our college education and degree as some kind of trophy,signaling to others that our intelligence is superior to yours. whatever enlightenment i have gained from the university experience comes at the price of knowing that i have filled the
shoes of many others so deserving of it but do not have the means.

things that i hated when i was in elementary
school:

1. parental corporal punishment (my parents liked to call it loving me)
2. if you want to stop elitism in education start with getting rid of this
3. being the last one picked on the kickball team
4. the he-man vs. homework dilemma
5. being too odd to hang out with even the smart kids
6. getting a C in art in 3rd grade ( what criteria are there for judging 3rd grade drawings?)
7. kissed the girls...made them cry.
8. the only pet i had was a rabbit that kept escaping, ate a plastic cup, and died.
9. highwater pants
10. not getting those notes that say: check here if you like her, check here if don't.

its rarely ever cold or raining or cold and raining in southern california. most people here probably disdain that combination. I don't. I look forward to the warmth and security only three blankets can provide. I hate the heat.
