Finally, I can share the "Don't Let Them" video with you all! In the past I received a copy of it on DVD, but wasn't able to make a video or even take screen caps of it. However, Launch.com has finally added the video to its collection. Check out Shelby's gorgeous "Don't Let Them" radio remix video here.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers official website noted after a snippet from USA Today I shared with them in their March news that Shelby's producer for the new album is Jim Scott, who engineered RHCP's Californication.

Also, Shelby performed at a benefit for WNTI with Neal Casal. You can check out the full performance of a new song called "John" here. (Requires RealPlayer)

If you've visited this site before, there is an obvious difference here. The purpose of this design is simply transitional and functional, to allow you quick access to the latest info while Shelby is between albums. All the old content is still here, which you can access by using the drop-down menu above. I will try to revamp those sections a bit as well if time allows. Now on to the Shelby news...

If you're lucky enough to be in or around New York City, you can catch her at the Mercury Lounge this coming Wednesday night. Unfortunately I have no details about this show, but I'm sure it will be fantastic, as Shelby will most likely be debuting quite a few new songs.

As far as the new album goes, there is still no title or release date, although Shelby is hoping for a late summer/early fall release. There is a bit of scheduling conflict going on with Neal Casal, the guitarist on the new material, as he has been on tour in Europe and will be setting out as a guitarist on another tour when he gets back to the States. However, Shelby worked with Neal and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith doing 5 or 6 song demos for the album.

Also, Shelby was working with a group called Dangerman a couple weeks ago making dance remixes of some of the new tracks. Hopefully we can look forward to some cool b-sides in the future.

That's about it for now, but I'll keep you posted on any news I hear. I'd also like to give a special thanks to Abe and Megan for all this fantastic info!
