  my cat and i are bonding right now. he's sitting on the computer table in front of me, looking around with really wide eyes. he was purring a little while ago, but he's stopped. silly cat.

i want a big magnetic bulletin board in my room. then i will get magnetic poetry and play with it whenever i get bored. that would be fun. that should be my next goal. oh yes. (i still haven't gotten that digital camera i promised myself back in... oh, september... august... i suck.)

small obsession with that portishead song about a million years ago. i was @ our local cd store yesterday...and noticed they had the leona ness cd. hrm. don't know when that came in. it's like, $23.99 too. oh well. the local cd store does not have the peppermint ep, laura. but i'll go check that little hole in the wall used cd store maybe. they have a billion copies of 'between the bridges' over @ our cd store....and all for the lovely price of $11.99. i told mom that's what she could get me for valentine's day.

speaking of. you all were slated to receive hello kitty valentine's in the mail from me. & i meant to mail them on the 7th. but i don't have addresses. we'll see if i get those things off sometime in the near future. hmm...i beleive i need gleebs' address, and laura's address...and maybe even nikki's address. i have everyone elses. please email me people. buried_alive@fuh-q.com

  hehe..you ever read old teen magazines from the 60's & 70's? this girl who i was friends with in high school had a stash of them, and there was one entirely devoted to leif garret. it was..amazing. seriously. i wanted it so badly, but she barely let me touch it. blah :p we had so much fun laughing over that one, let me tell you.

i had old magazines from the mid-nineties, too. i concentrated more on seventeen, so mine were mostly seventeen. and cosmo. haha, i had an unhealthy obsessed with cosmo back then. i was always so embarassing that i read it, because it had "dirty" articles in it (but i didn't buy it just for the "dirty" articles..really..), so i would like hide them under my bed. like they were porn or something. i was a neurotic kid. anyways, back to the topic at hand. i say HAD old magazines, because i gave them all to my little sister as a gift. they were all cut up and dog eared and etc etc, but i honestly thought of it as like..a big deal. she said thank you, and then proceeded to RIP OUT ALL THE PAGES AND TAPE THEM TO HER WALL!!!! EVERY SINGLE PAGE!!! i was so mad. they were antiques! so bye bye old magazines. sigh. i still have all my old cosmo-porn, though, because my mom would've lynched me alive if i had given those to rachel.

but yeah. i already raped the magazine archives that i DO have for supergrass pictures. sorry colleen. they're all on rachel's wall. heh.

  barg. old ym's from the mid 90's are the new crack! seriously...if anyone has like a stash of 'em in their closet, drag those puppies out! they're worth 10 000 laughs i swear. money back guarantee.

alright this is going to be a long story...but with colleen, it always is: so a week or so ago, someone was selling this old ym from 1995 on the net. i did a search from 'supergrass' and it came up. apparently it has some little supergrass picture and blurb talking about them being a hot new band. it said it had nikki taylor on the cover. i could picture it in my mind. i was positive my sister had it at one point. but id ecided to call up my friend cherakee, whose room is like the cosmo/ym archives...i asked her if she happened to have like ym from sept.95 w/nikki taylor on the cover. she said no. i decided to go look in my [absent college attending] sister's bedroom. i hit the fucking jackpot! not only did i find the supergrass thingy, but a whole bunch of funny old yms, which are now in my room.

i looked thru these mags and found a bunch of eddie vedder pictures for cherakee. it's just so funny to see all today's hottest celebrities before their careers became huge. AKA: celebrities, before they got stylists. Salma Hayak in a flowered hat? Jennifer Lopez before she got nicer eye brows? also...bad dye jobs, hair dos, and hair colours and LOTS of big hair! crazy, corny mid 90's tampon ads are pricelessly funny. it's also interesting to see like those articles on "the 5 actresses to watch in 1996!" or "the hottest rising stars sure to become mega famous!" or better yet "the 50 most beautiful guys of 1995!"...it's funny to see just who became gigantically famous and who you still have never heard of. take one of the surveys..or better yet, torture yourself by re-reading the answers to a survey you took in 1994.

but ANYWAY...the whole point fot his blog: i stumbled upon the best picture of damon albarn in either the 95 or 96 edition of the 50 hottest guys. there he was, to the right of Jamie Walters and above the guy who played Todd on Sweet Valley High. see? so go get those yms and seventeens and look for your current obsessions. and if anyone finds any supergrass, please send it to me.
