I used to like ZDNET a lot. I was a big Jesse Berst fan. But articles like this one (even though it appears under the guise of an opinion column) shows a downturn in ZDNET quality. The opinion is so malformed that (a) the guy actually believes what he is writing or (b) ZDNET is encouraging their writers to bait readers. The article was just thinly guised MS bashing.

I live just outside of Washington, DC in Fairfax County. It seems despite all the layoffs in the county and nationwide, life is still good in the county.

The next catastrophic day next to snow fall in the Washington, DC area is the day after. News about closings tomorrow is already coming in.

In the spirit of snow and nasty commute day here on willkelly.org, I found the Washingtonpost.com Traffic page. It is a site about traffic in the Washington, DC area put together by Washingtonpost.com and NBC4.com. The site pulls together some of the best traffic resources in the area.

I have already bookmarked it.

A 130 car pile up happened just south of where I live. Geez. It's like a CHIPS episode (but with snow and ice) out there.

The Washington, DC area has been a hot bed of deceit, lies, and intrigue (even with Clinton out of office). The DC/Arlington/Fairfax County has seen its share of clandestine operations. Washingtonpost.com recently published this map of the local area detailing landmarks from the recent Hanssen spying case.

Snow in the Washington, DC always means a nasty commute -- even if it is less than an inch of snow. Today's commute was no different. What is normally a 45 minute trip for me took two and a half hours. I saw so many accidents. I was glad to get home in one piece. My area just doesn't handle snow too well.

When I was a kid one of my favorite TV shows was Planet of the Apes. I certainly hope the movie remake of Planet of the Apes is better than the movie remake of the Wild Wild West (another favorite childhood TV show).

Alright, I know how Marc Rich paid for his pardon. But how did Samuel L. Morison afford a pardon from Clinton?

I am back to working too much... It's official. However, I love writing again for the first time in more than a year. Contracting is good again. I've at least gained some distance from dot com management structures and the related drag coefficient on me and my productivity.

I haven't caught much of Survivor this season. It's just not worth watching without Rudy. He said a lot of things that Americans are afraid to say in a liberal culture. I am glad he is making money off of his Survivor fame.
