purportal.com: the bunk stops here is a handy place to check whether or not that story you just received in an email is true (I can't tell you how many times I've had to do this at work).

Michele has a busy week coming up. Friday is the opening reception for her solo show at Artique, Ltd. here in Anchorage, then on Sunday she flies to Los Angeles for the opening reception of the Millard Sheets Gallery’s 2001 exhibition, The Art of Illusion. The following Saturday, we'll both be in Riverside, California for the opening of Watercolor West's 2001 National Juried Exhibition, where she's won an award!

A little to "cutsie" for me, but the new AIBO models, Latte and Macaron are at least more affordable than the original.

The Dot Eaters - Classic Video Game History is an incredibly comprehensive reference covering the early years of gaming, and includes a timeline beginning with the founding of Nintendo in 1889.

Last night, a group in Germany began the world's longest musical performance of an organ composition by American composer John Cage entitled Organ2/ASLSP (As Slow As Possible) that will last for 639 years.

I've got to save this link to the Terms of Use found over at OXO (makers of the Good Grips line of products) so I have it handy the next time I have to deal with anyone in the legal department.

I just realized that I have NEVER gotten an email from anyone visiting this site - which confirms my suspicion that a) no one visits this site, b) no one who actually visits likes/hates anything here enough to comment, or c) the type of people who visit this site have not yet figured out how email works.

I must admit, I'm not really sure I want to hear from the relatively large number of visitors I get who are searching for information on the Hyperdimensional Resonator.

Fast Company has an interesting story entitled Why Can't Lego Click?. My theory is that the $200+ price tag on so many of the LEGO sets may have something to do with it...

The recent flood of articles about new search engines prompted me to take a look at Wisenut, iBoogie and Teoma, but I've found things like blogdex and Daypop more interesting to explore (and Google is still my preferred seach engine).

I've noticed that the number of visitors to this site has been increasing lately. At first I thought it must be due to the high-quality(?) content found here, but then sanity kicked in, and I realized it's because I've dropped to the bottom of the SETI@home top 1000 home user statistics. I'd like to thank all of you who took the time to examine the bottom of the list, but it's time to get these old computers crankin' to move myself up a little higher in the stats!
