Keeping a log on runnersworld.com. It's neat to see the graphing process....

Still upping the distance each week, but starting to wonder if my ouchie knees are something to worry about or if they just come with the territory. Next week I'll have to see which of the treadmills at the gym don't automatically shut down after 30 minutes 'cause I think I'll need 'em for longer. Really wish I had an outside track somewhere...

It's been a week and I've done everything I was supposed to, in my running schedule that is. I wonder how long this will last. Now that I'm going greater distances and taking more time, I'm having trouble keeping my mind occupied. Perhaps I need to buy a little walkman or something. My knees are a little sore, which worries me, but I'll live with it for now.

Did my full mileage on Saturday and my scheduled 60 min. walk on Sunday. Am upping the mileage again today. On Saturday I felt like if I _had_ to keep going I could have, so hopefully today won't kill me. Hopefully.

I was scheduled today to do less distance than Tuesday so I upped the speed to a 10 minute mile, did okay but probably looked like I was gonna die at any minute. Was at the gym at 6 am, which was new and strange. I was surprised riding my bike down 14th Street that there weren't that many cars on the road. I even saw the people opening up the CVS.

Increased my mileage yesterday, am quite pleased with myself. Started getting a headache doing weights though but decided to run through it. It was not fun, but it was managable. I'm gonna try to make my Thursday run at the increased speed.

Phew. Had a good relationship with the treadmill this weekend. Did my run on Saturday and did the scheduled 60 minute walk on Sunday. It was actually relaxing 'cause I took my big fat "Distant Mirror" book and read all about the black plague. Time flew.

New Idea: I'll use this to log my running in prep. for Natl Race for the Cure. I wanna beat my time of last year. Did my first run in my training regimine last night, went well. Am eager to get up the speed though...
