as my better half has pointed out, there really aren't any words. you'll have already see all the links and ways to help, I urge you all to do whatever you can. though they won't take my blood (foreign), they'll take yours - and it's needed. my prayers and thoughts are with you all. off out of the city and away from the net for a couple of days - hope to have happier news to report on my return.

oy vey, a ten hour flight and an eight hour time difference can really screw with you. on the up side, san francisco is, so far, quite amazing. things both quite unexpected and surprising. and at the same time, just how you thought they might be. yes, this is totally unenlightening and very dull writing, but I have to wrap it up as the keyboard in this cybercafe is reallt knackered, and we've got lots of this city to go and see....
ta ta for now!

phew. well, it's yet another boring stopover post. huzzah! I got the guardian job, which is quite groovy, though some stealthy guerilla marketing tactics and research is going to be required, as well as weekly audits, reports etc. layover in london before the assessment day and training days included a the sublimely wonderful hedwig and the angry inch with the aforementioned chappy tom - I thank you sir. so, all that remains is for me to finish packing up my bag, and say seeya in sf, where the boy and myself will be heading bright and early tomorrow morning. kitschy kisses!!

and it's kitschbitch back on the road again. will the madness never stop?!
off to london in a couple of hours, hopefully hooking up with my old partners-in-crime messieurs coates and cornwell. then tomorrow, have to be at queen mary and westfield bright and early for a selection day for the guardian student brand manager job. then, (fingers crossed), if I get it, I stay another two days for training. then whenever the grauniad bods are done with me, it's off to stay with the boy, chill out (and do some washing!) before whizzing off to heathrow on thursday to jet off to san francisco. yee ha!
oof, ouch, I sound like an old lady when I'm getting up and sitting down. local anaesthetic is wearing off so general lower back area is bloody sore. enter the super strong pain killers - some kind of percocet substitute or something. verrrrry nice - the pills are your friend. but they're bloody trippy. I went out for a chinese with my family, and suddenly began to feel really quite peculiar. woozy and a bit floopy. then the little turn-table thing in the middle of the table started to move. only it wasn't moving. most bizarre...
