Hey. I know it's been a while. I've graduated and been trying to figure out what next to do. I just wanted to take the opportunity to announce that my family finally went ahead today and joined Harriet Baptist Church. Now it's official.

Well. I passed my swimming test. I was scared I wasn't going to be able to, but I did.

Thursday, April 19, 2001
Well. My swimming test is tomorrow. This is the big hump for me. If I can pass this, I'll be able to graduate. If I don't... Well, let's just pray I do. I'll miss college a little bit--mainly because this is about all I know right now--but I sure don't want to spend another semester here. Wish me luck.

I have updated my Anaéwyn section to include a couple of preliminary maps for the world. Nothing complete and both look like a little kid drew 'em. (I'm 22 BTW.) But, they're something. Maybe I'll find some time in the future to update the area more, but school will be out in a little over a month and I'll be pushed to find time to work on it much, other than what I have written up already--which is little.

In my Star Wars campaign, Gerry and I have taken this week off. He has a paper to write and I have to finish fleshing out the adventure. I guess it's more-or-less finished, but it's little things that bother me, like what exactly is this NPC's motivation and what exactly is discovered when and where and stuff like that. My biggest worry is that my games are not fully-fleshed out, that is, they feel two-dimensional, y'know? Hopefully, after this, I'll be able to make some more 3-D adventures, things that involve more time doing things and all... ::shrug:: Well, I'm learning. I haven't DM'ed much before, nor played much before for that matter, so I guess you just can't all of a sudden start off great. :-)

Ok, from last Wednesday, here's Episode VI:

STAR WARS RPG
EPISODE VI

THE SEARCH BEGINS

Having stopped a Protection Racket in the Valley Ditch area of Coruscant, Jedi Padawan, Sem-Nol Khan set out to head home to the Jedi Temple. However, his plans were delayed when he met a female Rodian requiring help.

Distrusting, Sem-Nol finally discovered that she was a spy for Chancellor Valorum, disposing of the remnants of the terrorist Flail organization. Helping her in the task, the Flail are most certainly gone now.

Back near the Jedi Temple, Sem-Nol Khan has been summoned to the Jedi Council's chambers. A matter most urgent, he has been admitted immediately....

Hmmmm.... I designed this just now and am wondering about it as a family shirt. Have this as a pocket on the front and on the back, have it big. Above it on the back, have it say: "The Family" and below it, with the quotes, "If you wrong us... do not we revenge?" :-)

Ok. Gerry and I will be playing Ep. VI in a couple of hours, so here's Ep. V. Corny title, I know, but I drew a blank moreso on this one than any other one I've done so far.

STAR WARS RPG
EPISODE V

IN NEED OF HELP

In a seedy and crime-infested block of the city-planet Coruscant known as "The Valley Ditch," a group of masked thugs had begun demanding "protection" money. Unable to accompany his Padawan, Jedi Master Enkona left on a mission of diplomatic peace, while Sem-Nol was left to take care of the problems in the Valley Ditch.

Investigating the scenes of the area, Sem-Nol managed to locate the base of the thugs and put an end to their racket. The thugs appeared to be located in the base of the Garden Restaurant, though the
owner knew nothing of it.

As the police and press swarm the area, attempting to discover what has happened, Sem-Nol watches, ascertaining the situation. Only through the force did he sense the approach of the female Rodian as she tapped him on the shoulder and asked for his help...

We played Episode IV last night. Pretty fun. Again, Gerry threw my original outline out the window after about 20 minutes. I'm learning, though. He said he couldn't tell he surprised me...

STAR WARS RPG
EPISODE IV

PROTECTION IN THE VALLEY

When the two halves of the planet Suni--Xith and Feth--grew angry with one another, counsel from the Jedi Council was sought. Padawn Sem-Nol Khan was asked to take care of this precarious situation.

After discovering the infiltration of a Bothan spy, the two halves of the planet are now one again as before. Back at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the Jedi Council has been informed of this Force-User and seeks to find him.

In a seedy and crime-infested block of the city-planet Coruscant known as "The Valley Ditch," a group of masked thugs have begun demanding "protection" money. Unable to stop and locate these criminals, the Coruscant police have requested the help of the Jedi....

Man! I just finished writing a 13-page report a couple hours ago. Glad that's over, but now I have to work on a take-home test and study for the in-class portion on Tuesday for the same class! Then I have a homework thingy to do for Geography, study for the test, and write a paper for another class all due in about 2 weeks. I'll be glad when the next two weeks are over.

Well, no. No, I won't. Tomorrow night (Thursday), I'm going to relax by playing in Part 3 of the Living Force campaign (Cularin Presence) and then Fri, Sat, and Sun will be spent basically down the street from my dorm, more-or-less, at Duracon. I've been wanting to go for a while and this is the first year that I have decided to do so. Hopefully, it'll be a lot of fun. It'll be my first face-to-face convention (I've played in 2-3 ones online) and I'm both looking forward to it and dreading it.

Here's Episode III where we played Monday night. Wonder if I should get a separate journal for these.....

STAR WARS RPG
EPISODE III

ACROSS DIVIDING WATERS

After several attempts and threats on his life, Chancellor Finis Valorum had no choice but to request the help of a Jedi Padawan to end this threat to him and the people of Coruscant. In a nearly tragic attempt, the Jedi Padawan Sem-Nol, stopped a shuttle from crashing into the crowded plaza.

Zegmon Pent, leader of the Flail, is now dead and the organization is in chaos. While other organizations may exist, the Chancellor is now safe from any attempts on his life--for
now.

On the planet Suni, the two halves--Xith and Feth--have lived in harmony for many years. Both are parts of a larger whole, interdependent on one another. After a recent trade dispute, the Emperor of Xith has requested help to settle the matter....
