Getting Blog Working

Well, it was tough to get right. I wanted to host my blog on my machine, so I need to use FTP. But due to the recent Egghead break-in, I no longer trust web servers with my data, particularly a password. I didn't want to allow the ftp user that Blogger uses to put a file onto my machine access to much of anything. Between FTP and HTTPD, there was a lot of fiddling and diddling. But I think I've got it now (to coin a phrase...)
