KOOP Fall 2001 Pledge Drive!
September 22 through October 5
KOOP has rescheduled its Fall Pledge Drive after the recent tragedies in New York &
Washington. This is your opportunity to promote & support KOOP's mission to provide
a real alternative to the corporate-run radio in Austin. We don't need to remind you
that KOOP is almost unique in this city in that its deejays are all volunteers, who
willingly give their time & energy to the station without financial gain, who
program & organize their own shows without playlists handed down from Los Angeles
music business executives. During this time we ask you to please help out by pledging
to your favorite show. You can pledge
at all levels (every single pledge counts!); have a look at
the different pledge levels available.
Joining at levels higher than $50 gets you goodies (like gift certificates, CDs, &
more) from participating Austin businesses! We also have plenty of stylish KOOP
T-shirts to sport during these long dog days of summer. Join the many Austinites &
local businesses who help our station out - we do this for you, because you like to
have a choice of quality radio programming instead of the Same Old Thing to the right
of the dial. Listen to your favorite show starting September 22 & then give a
little support to the radio station that you love; call 472-5667 (472-KOOP) for more
details. KOOP says thank you to the businesses & listeners to support us!

KOOP PLEDGE DRIVE SPRING 2001
The KOOP 91.7 FM official pledge drive is underway and will continue until March 11th. Now is your chance to take an active role in ensuring more quality community programming for the Austin area. Help keep Austin's airwaves diverse by pledging to your favorite show. Pledges are being accepted at all dollar levels, with a breakdown of pledge levels listed on this website. If you pledge $50 dollars or more, you even get our thanks in the form of gift certificates to prominent Austin retailers. We are offering gift certificates for local music stores, restaurants, and specialty goods stores. We even have a fresh supply of T-shirts in break-out spring colors. KOOP has already received thousands of dollars in pledges from businesses and individuals who value community radio enough to help out. So don't think too hard about it - a pledge for KOOP radio helps us all out, and is something you can feel good about too. A big round of thanks to all our sponsors!
