Day of Rememberance?
I don't want to seem insensitive...
Just like everyone else,
I have been totally upset by the tragedy on 9/11.
I have been glued to the TV set with a morbid fascination,
watching for hours and hours - hoping for new information.
But really I am aching for some sort of closure...
I don't need a day of rememberance - I need a day of forgetance.
I need to have fun, or watch a football game, and escape from this horror.
I need life to return to (relative) normalcy...

Terrible Day
Yesterday, 9/11/2001 a.k.a "911", is a day that will go down in infamy.
But I'm not going to go on about it here,

I will go on to say that Gas Stations who seek to make a profit as a result of this tragedy - are as evil as the terrorists who attacked us.
I understand that all businees owners are opportunists and profiteers,
but to seek to capitalize on a nations trauma is unforgivable...

I have started design work on two shows, with a third about to start soon - my life will be extremely crazy for most of October...
I am designing scenery and lighting for Red Badge of Courage at the Cleveland Play House which opens October 1st.
Then I am also guest designing Two Gentlemen of Verona at Case Western Reserve University which opens October 12th.
When it rains, it pours...

Tech Week
This upcoming week is the first of 4 "tech weeks" that I will face this summer. For those of you with no theatre knowledge, "tech week" is the week where the shit hits the fan and everything must get done because the show must go on... In other words - I will be living at the theatre... In OTHER other words - updates, blog posts, and cam images will be more boring than usual... But I will try to update SOMETHING everyday - prolly the cam...

just so everybody besides my usual visitors knows - my site is in a constant state of flux...
Rather than stessing for months over a new "version" or "layout", I prefer to design fluidly. The main page is always up to date, but the other links are mostly remnants from earilier versions - that I haven't had the time (the time, the time, the time...) to update the look of them to the "current" version (1.4.1b to be exact).
Eventually I will get around to cleaning things up a bit - but by that time, I will probably have something new for the front page.
Anyway, its the journey - not the destination...

Goth Prom
in case any of you were wondering...
This past weekend I went to a party thrown by an old friend of mine who loves theme parties (next month its "White Trash Party").
When I first heard about Goth Prom, I have to admit, I nearly puked from laughing so hard...
so I couldn't resist, I went to Spencers Gifts and Hot Topic and bought vampire makeup and goth ecoutrements, and I dug though my closet and pulled out clothes I haven't worn since I was angst ridden teenager - many moons ago.
The whole thing provided such a great photo opportunity too - I wish I had taken more shots!
Anyway, I posted them as a slide show on my webcam on Sunday night, and now they are all on one page and can be viewed here...

Misellaneous Meanderings
I've been following SurvivorCam since it started on monday, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed... The best cam images haven't even come from any of the contestants, they came from one of the judges - Mindy of 5ilver.net. She single-handedly put every one of them to shame. I don't know what I am going to do for entertainment now that Mindy graduated high school - I may have to go back to watching Dawson's Geek (I think not!)...

has added me to her cam portal... This is my first foray into the world of web voyeurism (well as the entertainment, that is), let me know what you think. I do try to update at least once per day and will eventually set up an archive gallery so you can see whatcha missed. You can also see the current cam pic on my main page, click on that for a remote window that refreshes every 60 seconds...

i didn't really love you but i'm pretty when i lie.
I had an idea for a layout similar to this a while ago, but she did it better (and first) - check it out. Also read her blog posts - hilarious!
