You know those donation dealys where you slide a coin into a chute and the coin rolls around and around and around, inching closer and closer to the hole in the middle ... the hole where it just disappears? You know? That is what happens to your bank account when you buy your first house. our first house ... is ours! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEBASTIAN! Lots of things have been happening in my world this month. The weblog vacation was somewhat unintentional, as my career took a turn for the worse then sprang back with the vigor of a sixteen year old boy sitting in the basement with a stack of back-issues from Playboy. I shall not mention the major investment Karen and I are about to close on in less than two weeks. I have lots of share, but I lack the motivation and time to do so right now. In the meantime, perhaps I will link the projects I am working on (aside from what is listed on this page). So long! (and thanks for all the fish) our first house will be our first house in less than two weeks! I am now accepting volunteer applications for the "Move the Hamiltons" Project. I took Karen out to dinner Sunday evening to celebrate our first anniversary, complete with limousine service and a bottle of champagne. I stepped outside and closed the door behind me. SLAM! In an instant, I realized that my keys were on the table ... behind the locked door. In the aftermath, I have decided that a security system is not an option, but a requirement for our first house. After the incident this morning, requiring only five minutes to break into my own residence, I understand the mental reassurance that a professionally monitored security system may provide.
