I'm really beginning to get excited about the investment that I've made in my PS2. I just heard word today that Deus Ex is in development and will be released this winter. Sweetness! Sweetness! Sweetness! This brings my list of must haves up to four. I know it's selfish and materialistic, but who cares? In other news, Neelix has left Star Trek:Voyager. It's about time. Of course, there's only two episodes left. Better late than never, I guess. Props to ps2.ign.com for the pic. |
| It looks as if there is going to be a new Star Trek show called Enterprise. It'll be starring Scott Bakula of Quantum Leap fame and will be set before Kirk and his cronies. It looks to be promising... |
| I love this city. I never knew you could take the train from Quincy right into Union Station, the Union Station. THe exact same Union Station they filmed The Untouchables, My Best Friend's Wedding, and many other such movies I can't remember. It deserves a big neat-o! It's been a pretty incredible trip so far. I even got to go in the Sears Tower. I should probably bring Erin here sometime. She would love it. The price is not too bad either if you stay downtown. I'm sure there's plenty one could do there. Too bad I only had about an hour to clown around...I must make plans. Well, I'me sitting here riding the train back and I've got some work (blech!) to do. Erin tells me it's supposed to storm pretty bad in Quincy. I guess I'll find out when I get there. |

Sue me. Real working people are busy. It's great when your employer gives you tasks to do but not the responsibility or resources to do it. I digress... I haven't done much of anything. Softball started up last night. We lost, but I had fun anyway. It felt great to be back on the field. I hadn't played for a year. Our dog, Molly, still has her "lampshade" on. In case you're wondering, she was spayed last Friday. It comes off a week from today. I was kind of surprised at the size of the cut that they made on her stomach, and the stitches are really tough as well. The operation didn't change her personality one bit. Of course, now she's genderless... I hate pulling up glued down carpet. So does my back. Going on a business trip tomorrow to Rockford. I get to ride the train! Half-Life for the PS2 is looking good. Plus, it's got co-op levels and high detail textures! It looks like I'm saving up for Black & White, Half-Life, and Gran Turismo 3 now. |

Ah, a new month, a new post. Who cares? Well, I've actually been losing sleep over Black & White. I adore that game like a kid adores grandma's kisses at Christmas. There are a few minor quirks that I have to deal with, but I'm learning to get over them. My Creature is learning from me and doing all sorts of cool stuff. However, he's still throwing the villagers! I've slapped him around some, but it just doesn't sink in. At least he stopped eating his poop... I had a FREE rental coming and I got another game at Blockbuster, Unreal Tournament. I'll say this right now. Those of you that still play it on the PC probably won't like it. However, I think it's great. It's got to be the best FPS console game out there. Sure, the controls take a while to get used to (after using a mouse-keyboard combo for years), but I'm actually starting to like the control that the PS2 gamepad provides. My only gripe is that the graphics are not up to specs as a high-end PC. It looks as if Epic is going to release a high-texture version for the PS2 sometime in the future. Other than that, it's pretty sweet...It's so much easier to just pop a game in and hit power than it is to have to jack with it on your PC. |
