This area is where Rogue can post any random thoughts and feelings he may have. Remember, this is our area, if you don't agree, surf on! Either way, if you have an opinion, and everybody does, click on his name, and drop him a line. Tuesday, October 24, 2000Sorry, no big philosophical ideals today: (I’ll do better on my next post)I just got back from a fishing trip into the lakes of the North. We went up to the Fergis Falls area and fished for four days and tried for one of the most fun fish to catch. The Northern Pike. Man what a fish. I don’t mean your mamby pamby 12 incher from Nebraska. I mean the ones that range from three feet and up! What fun… sigh: Anyway I wanted to post a blog and go to town on system shtuff. How many of our readers actually have the killer system. The one that totes an Athelon 900+ with a 450+ dollar g-force+ card and the 500+ meg of ram, and maybe for kickers, a Dell Trinitron 19+inch monitor?…Probably not many… I would venture to say that MOST of us out there are at the mid to upper-mid level. The typical system is this: So in the near future, I will be doing some posts on the “REVIEWS” page and talk a little about stuff put into our type of system Limited as I am I will do some comparisons of equipment I have assuming that you and I have basically the same systems. **LOOK** for my reviews in the future. My first review will be running a benchmark 2000 on my system comparing the Diamond Viper to my VooDoo 3 3000. As well as running UT on both and I will cut my ram in half after that to give comparisons there as well… Stay Tuned: Review the archived rants |
