[pre-madness apology: very tired, may not make sense]
I have a couple of things I jotted down for myself to keep me on track, and since I pulled out the list this morning anyway, I think I'll share:
1. I will realize what I need to do to be where I need to be and take the appropriate action to get there.
2. If something stands in my way I will remove it by persistence and prayer.
3. I am an intelligent woman and my thoughts and actions reflect this.
4. I will remember it is not always about me.
5. It is not this life that counts, but the next.
In other news, I actually had to scrape the frost off my truck this morning. How sad is that? We're not supposed to be freezing yet!
Oh, on September 29th in Denver T.D. Jakes will be at the Heritage Christian Center. If you're going either take me with you or lemme know how it went.
A friend of mine said something very profound while we were visiting the other night, and I wanna share: "Think of me as a mirror- I reflect back what I am given and there's that part of me that is that way that no one hardly ever sees because they don't deserve it."
Thats all...not very exiting I know-- lets end with: "First say to yourself what you would be; then do what you have to do." -Epidetus

How old do you want to be when you grow up?
Some people grow up by age eight. They're completely responsible, throwing away all traces of childhood.
There's also people who, at eighty, can't go a night without teddy or a day without sillyness. I'm sure you've known people from both ends of the spectrum. I have two friends in particular that made me think about this subject recently- my friend 'Leah' and my friend 'Louis'.
Both friends are still very much attached to their childhoods. Both watch cartoons regulary. Both are obsessed with movies that have no meaning whatsoever. But there's something that distinguishes them... one is not childish. Unlike my Leah, Louis can be completely serious and straightforward when need be. When something of importance is happening, it takes first precedence. Louis is maturing properly. His priorities are in order. He is not overly obsessed with childish things, he knows when to put it down and move on, if just for a moment. Leah would instead try to bring the situation to a point of laughter and fun. This is where she feels comfortable. If she would learn when to be serious- that some situations cannot be laughed away- she would grow by leaps and bounds. I've noticed many of our mutual friends are hesitant about inviting her on our outings that require a level of intensity and sobriety.
There are certainly times when being fun and witty is acceptable, even desired. But the times when its not- when the subjects are too personal- then being funny is not as funny, then feelings can get hurt.
I'm the first to admit that sometimes I try to be funny, I try to bring the comedy into the situation so its not so harsh- and this is wrong. Its something I definitely have to work on, and seeing what I do in Louis and Leah I begin to recognize my own faults much more clearly than I'd like to.

Question: What happens when you tell someone you stayed up until six in the morning chatting with someone in Alabama?
Answer: They think you're a crazy, obsessive computer junkie.
And then they want to know who you were chatting with.
3:42 PM
I like the numbered recent events, so I'll stick with that:
1. Actually got around to calling people last night (Andrew and Meredith) and they weren't home. :sigh: See why I never call people? See?
2. Talked to Todd and Crystal S. last night (S for south since she lives in Alabama... or CS for short- thanks for the acronym Todd) and she's all for the roommate idea. Next dilemma: get moved down there and set up and living for as little money as possible. Don't forget-- if you'd like to contribute to my moving fund email me. I'll even send you a postcard from Alabama. Enticed yet?
3. I've yet to tell anyone about this yet so here is as good a place as ever: Mr. Evil himself is working at the ONLY decent store in my tiny little town. (There is a story about why he's evil, and I won't get into it here) Thus, no more late-night shopping for me. I won't go in unless armed with a glock and pepperspray. Hopefully I won't have to use the pepperspray.
4. Oh, and CS...I didn't get a chance to tell you about this last night, but I saw in your blog you're having problems with the 'edit' feature....click "safe mode" in the post section...if you have a link that isn't written correctly it freaks out...then edit your links and unclick safe mode. okay? okay.
5. Its absolutely freezing so I'm going to get a blanket and coffee and enjoy the rest of my day off. I might even watch a movie. Suggestions?

Now that the blog is all set up and integrated into my envy.nu site, I am free to write an actual entry. Recent events:
1. unable to go to 180 tonight due to the extreme fire and smoke on the connecting highway
2. woke up late this morning (1:30am MST) and no one was online :sigh:
3. trying to find a way to move to Alabama for little or no cost- [Note: if you would like to contribute money to my "Moving 2000- A journey across America" fund, email me here , if you're using a credit card, let me know and I'll set myself up with PayPal.] oh, did I mention Crystal in Alabama and I might get a place together if I go? I still need to ask her about it though...hehe it was just an idea I had while talking to Todd in Alabama. She has no idea yet that this is even being discussed. *grin*
4. went to www.goateestyle.com since Crystal in Alabama recommended it...very cool;) since no one was online I watched the 'goat cam' (as I've dubbed it) for several minutes.
5. been working incessantly, though now I have the next two days off, and I can't even go to Helena. ugh.
6. updated TPM some more...somehow I put Lloyd as the default about page but thats all fixed now.
Check it out. And let me know how you're doing, and why you decided to read my blog today.
