i am getting some serious play over at Thinking of Hesterman lately...i have no idea what "inside joke" the "Fritos" comment is hanging it's hat on, so to speak...i mean, i like Fritos, but, really, i'm more of a Fun-Yuns man, m'self...or a Nacho Cheesier Dorito's...

a plug: my improv team WHITE NOISE will be playing at the Playground Improv Co-Op thursday at 8pm...come out, it should be fun...

okay, so, i played the Star Wars RPG this weekend for the first time...months and months ago i mentioned my purchasing it in an ill-advised dork-session right here on the old page...well, it was as fun as expected...thought you would like to know...

"elderly Husker Du fan"?...listen here, whippersnapper, i'm fittin' to send you on a chartered trip away...

see, that was funny because Husker Du has a song called "Chartered Trips" and i turned that into a threat about kicking Quinn's ass because he called me an elderly Husker Du fan and here i go again explaining my jokes...but, in all honesty, i'm finding that i can't trust a one of you to actually understand one of my jokes...

i just saw BEST IN SHOW for the first time, 'cause i'm a jackass who missed it in the theaters...how does Christopher Guest do it? he's quickly replacing Gene Wilder as the man i want to be when i grow up...

more humor above, stemming from the fact that, as an elderly Husker Du fan, i have obviously already grown up...

i do bear a slight resemblance to Mr. Guest, though...

i, like most music fans, love to think about the best versions of the best songs...Braid covering "Always Something There To Remind Me" pops immediately to mind...but, in the end, i don't think it gets any better than what my roommate Joe just played for me...a live version of the Afghan fucking Whigs covering Prince's I Could Never fucking Take The Place Of Your Man...this is, quite possibly, the greatest idea ever...

Mike Quinn, Link Slut linked to me a few days ago, saying that i had returned to writing here and that i was a good kid, so, here i am, trying to make it look like either of those statements might actually contain a kernel of truth...

i want Soul Coughing to get back together and cover The Monkees' Daydream Believer, Weezer to cover the enitre Warehouse Songs and Stories album by Husker Du, and the Beatles to cover Sugar's Hoover Dam...

and then, oh wish granting Genie, you could give me a show on Comedy Central and a complete crative control movie deal with Dreamworks...
