Move on?

After last Tuesday's attack, we hear people saying "We are moving on." "We will try to move on." "We will go on as normal." Easier said than done. I cannot imagine moving on if someone close to me is still missing. I cannot imagine moving on if my place of employment were one of those that were attacked. I cannot imagine going back to normal after knowing that a co-worker I was speaking to a few minutes ago has disappeared right before my eyes.

I know that everyone must move on. I know that everyone must go on as normal. But we will never be the same again. I am no longer certain of my safety in this country. I will always be aware of the place I am in.

But something very hopeful came out of this ordeal. Everyone seems to be calmer, nicer, loving, and very appreciative. Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers.

Guilty

Still past midnight, still up, my body is being uncooperative again, we are not sleeping yet. ;)

Thank you Lissa.

Don't worry about the last post, I was probably hallucinating. Of course, I will follow my childhood dream before pursuing the boy of my dreams. I come first. <--- That statement always amazes me..very powerful. I've always wanted to say it!

Good luck Daddy, I really really love you. I miss you already.

Weddings...Boys...Dreams...Random

It is past midnight and I am tired but my body is telling me that we are not sleeping yet.

Did I tell you that Rachel and Mark are getting married? To each other!!! =) I was literally bouncing off walls when I found out about this BIG NEWS on Friday. I talked to her for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon just talking about it and wow, I am so happy for them. I even got sappy and had her listen to a song that she could possibly play at her wedding. I am not however going to tell you what song it is because it is very sappy. =) It was funny because when I heard the news I was like... "OH MY GOD, I AM GOING TO OKLAHOMA!" Hahahahahaha... or Louisiana, Las Vegas ;) wherever they decide to have it.

It's weird thinking about my friend getting married though. It wasn't too long ago we were exchanging prom pictures and writing each other 12 pages letters front and back! It wasn't too long ago we had a little disagreement over Claire Danes and talking endlessly about boys. Now she's going off and getting married. But to a great guy. =) Mark is just adorable and funny.

People are getting married, cousins are having babies, but I'm still a student pursuing my dream. Sometimes I ask myself which is more important. Pursuing my dream of becoming a lawyer or pursuing the boy of my dreams? Which one is going to make me the happiest? The question is, who is the boy of my dreams? And am I the girl of his dreams?

Goodbye August

Goodbye wonderful wonderful month of August. It was very good while it lasted. I had the most amazing time in the world. I have never enjoyed a month more that I have enjoyed you. It is both our secret. ;) I have to admit that July was just as good though, it was definitely yummy. ;) I am in love with both July and August... they are both cute, I love it!

I had dinner earlier tonight with my friend Valerie. She's leaving me and L.A. for San Francisco for good (for a couple of years) next week. Valerie, I'm sure you will have "a time." ;)

I should be in bed, it's 1:30 in the morning.

*kisses* to everyone who deserves them. You know who you are.

To A Bestfriend

Eda
, for whatever reason I just read the card you sent me for my birthday. I didn't see it until tonight and I just want you to know that you are appreciated. Of all the people that have come into my life, no one has been more consistent than you have been. I love you with all my heart.

Just because you live thousands and thousands of miles away, I have all the memories of Grades 6. The year that you and I truly bonded. I love you so much and don't ever forget that. I can be a bad friend at times, and sometimes very poor on keeping in touch, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you.

Take care and God bless you and your family. I really really miss you.

Hello

It's been quite a while since I've updated. So much has happened and so much are over.

August has been an exciting month since the very beginning. I've seen friends, partied with them, danced with them, made up with a couple of them, and enjoyed them. I had so much fun and for the first time in a very long time, I've felt very calm about life. An acceptance that things are always not good but that things are not always bad either. Life has been very good to me this way. The response I'm giving when asked how my summer was has been...Amazing. And frankly, I don't know how else to describe it. I've even hold off in writing about it in my paper journal because I can't even describe the events to give them justice. Not just events, realizations as well.

Fall semester started yesterday and it's been okay so far. I'm taking 5 classes plus the Prep course I'm taking for the LSAT. My last day at work before my leave of absence will be on Saturday. I'm excited at the prospect of not thinking about work and just concentrating on an important task. It's also nice to walk around campus knowing that this is my last year and that I will soon be graduating in the Spring. I hope everything turns out well.

I've also been looking at other options of what I might possibly do after graduation if for whatever reason Law School doesn't work out next Fall and that I may have to wait. But, hopefully this will not be an issue but it's always good to be prepared. I don't want to see myself stressed out at the prospect of not knowing what to do and without a plan. It looks like I have a lot of options though and they look very promising. I shouldn't worry too much.

Goodnight, I have some reading to do.

Happy Weekend!

I am having too much fun, it's sick. It's 2 in the afternoon and I just woke up about half an hour ago. Got in late last night...err this morning from being out with friends. We're all trying to make the best out of this little holiday before school starts in a week.

Here's me wishing everyone a happy weekend. =) Have a lot of fun because like my friend Nick said, "Why be sad, when you can be happy?" And being happy is really really fun.

I know I owe some people phone calls or e-mails and I have been really sucky at responding and returning calls, but I love you all. =) I really do, and I haven't forgotten. I'm just trying to have some space because I will be having one of the hardest 5 weeks of my life pretty soon, I know that most of you understand that.

*kiss*
