I thought it wise to at least check on the rest of the house.

I'm kind of secluded up here in the attic, so in theory, the house could burn down and I might not notice until the flames got up here.

Anyway, I go downstairs to open up the sunroom, and when I'm on the last blind ... I hear this scratching noise from somewhere outside.

Ever vigilant, I throw on the Espirit sandal-type things my wife has by the door, and head out to see just what the problem is.

The problem is sitting on the roof - it's (for lack of a better term) a Crazy-Ass Squirrel - who shoots me a look of what I presume to be squirrel badassedness. He's telling me that he's not going to budge for nothin'.

He's gone even before can I pick up a huge stick to throw at him.

I always hoped for an arch-nemisis, but I was hoping for one better than a squirrel.

Sheesh...what time is it?

It's almost 8am, and I've been sitting here since 5am working on this ... this ... simple, scaled-down page ... this ... weblog/journal/what-have-you for who-knows-what-reason.

I've got another webpage, but I haven't had the urge to post on it lately ... so I figured I'd make this out-of-the-way stop to try and revitalize things.

Truth be told, I'm just glad I don't have to make up a subject line for each post ... that seems so restrictive sometimes.

Anyhow, enjoy. Read it if you want, skip it if you don't ... I get paid the same either way.
