Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in.
-Leonard Cohen
The past few days have changed me more than I thought. Not the disaster in New York, per se; While that hurts and infuriates me, it didn't change me, it didn't change how I felt about people. I've dealt with religious fanaticism before, and I understand how brainwashed those people were. What has changed me is the reaction to the event. After a few hours of crying tears, the (vocal) majority of the American public are crying again, but now it's for more blood, more pain, more suffering. They seem to believe that vengeance will make everything better. They're turning my stomach inside out. Tuesday night, I got nervous at the sound of a plane overhead; Now, I'm desperately afraid for those in the middle east; They have more reason to fear planes than I do. I put the quote above for a reason, and this is it. The United States are viewed as being a "perfect offering" to their God, and capable of no wrong, by their citizens. It's time to discard that illusion. The cracks are there for you to look through people. It's time to see the light. Ring the bells of mourning, but ring the bells of morning; It's time to wake up from your American Dream, and see the nightmare you've created.
For another viewpoint, I've added Rev. Blisterz' rant to the Media section, and you can also access it here. Enjoy.

To whomever did this: Fuck you, your children, and your children's children. I hope you grow wealthy enough to own a hotel with a thousand rooms, and then be found dead in every one of them. I condemn you to the screams of motherless children, the pain of those left to die in the rubble, and the suffering of those who tried and failed to rescue them. Witness this, hear this, feel this, and hold within your black and shriveled heart the crystal-clear knowledge that you did all of this, and that you were wrong.
Now fuck off; I have some wailing and gnashing of teeth to do.

Time is counting down... I leave for the desert tomorrow. If I don't post anymore, assume that either a) something went horribly wrong, or b) something went horribly right. Either way, massive updates in the media section should keep you amused whilst I'm away. And, we do have other staff members, or so I'm told; Hopefully, someone will post something in my absence. Ah well, I'm outtie. Kiss kiss, an' all that shit.

No nifty or cool links this time around.
No Burning Man for me this year. ( I cant believe how much they are charging... Remember when it was free?) [note: Free? Not that I recall... - Tempus]
On the bright side, sweet revenge will be mine after 13 years of plotting and planning, the one who I loath the most will be getting their just desserts.
Monday I get to go testify in the trial... This will be an experience; I have never been in a court room before (and we are not talkin' Judge Judy).
Maybe I will be inspired and return with some words of wisdom, or maybe I will return and gloat depending the outcome of things. At any rate one way or another via the trial or by my own hand justice will be served. I can always plead insanity, right? I know YOU will back me up, and if not point out the safest hole to crawl into for a while...

I'm going to Burning Man in just a few days! How's that fix yr wagon, Sally? Aww, you can't go this year? Sucker! But, here's a few cheap alternatives...
- Reread Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany. Reread The City Not Long After by Pat Murphy. Cut off the bindings, throw all the pages up in the air, and shuffle them back together. Reread The City After Dhalgren by Samuel Murphy. Burn it. Reread the ashes.
- Pay an escort of your affectional preference subset to not bathe for five days, cover themselves in glitter, dust, and sunscreen, wear a skanky neon wig, dance close naked, and say they have a lover back home.
- Pitch your tent next to the biggest speaker in a crowded, noisy club. Go to sleep.
- Drain all the water from your toilet. Vacuum it every three days. Hide all your toilet paper.
- Throw a sprawling, drunken, week long party. Spend the next five weeks meticulously cleaning every square inch of your house.
- Stack all your fans in one corner of your living room. Turn them on full. Dump a vacuum cleaner bag in front of them.
- Sprinkle dirty sand in all your food.
- Bust your ass for a "community." See all the attention get focused on the drama queen crybaby.
- Spend thousands of dollars on a deeply personal art work. Hide it in a funhouse. Blow it up.
- Take large amounts of hallucingenics. Be unable to tell if you're hallucinating.
- Set up a DJ system downwind of a three alarm fire. Play a short loop of drum'n'bass until the embers are cold.
- Have a 3 a.m. soul baring conversation with a drag nun in platforms, a crocodile, and Bugs Bunny. Be unable to tell if you're hallucinating. Lust after Bugs Bunny.
Now, don't you feel better? ;)

Holy Shit! Is it Time for BURNING MAN again?!!! *checks her pocket book and orders plane
tickets online* oh yeah someone remind me to arrange for the time off work BEFORE I go not AFTER....
Now on a different topic: Children in restaraunts... I'm so sick of going out to eat.. it
doesn’t seem to matter anymore if its Alessandro’s or fuckin MCy D’s there always
seems to be one little kid whose seated just a table or two from mine that sits there and
shrieks and screams and carries on... Its getting to the point where I'm almost willing to go grocery shopping and eat at home... So what kind of Tact does Blooddoll
show the parents today? Tact ? Whats that?! My hip accidentally slammed into the side
of their table dumping a nice red wine all over the bitch's white blouse and the dick-head's
expensive tweeds... and then my mouth suddenly had a mind of its own and asked the
dick-head what kind of issues they had bringing screaming kids into such a nice place...
when they could have hired a baby sitter for the entire night for the price of the damn kid's
meal... Fucking People.. Leave your Kids HOME!

You'll have to excuse me recent absence. My beloved DangerMedia Guild has imploded, going nearly tits up, but not in a bad way. Just cutting out the weak, yes? Or not, I suppose. More like those who don't care enough, though they may care quite a bit. I'm re-reading Cosmic Trigger, and quite enjoying it, making plans to re-locate TempCo.'s main offices to Vancouver, and overall trying to keep from going insane.
Speaking of insanity, I had a bizarre dream this morning. I won't bore you with the early details, but will skip to the good bits. I was spinning around a mall on a faulty security pole after trying to ascend a spiral escalator that didn't go anywhere. This display prompted my being brought to the manager's (?) office. Whilst yelling at him for the lack of stability in his building's construction, I noticed that there were rats running around the room. About a half-dozen I'd say, all quite large. There was a cat too, but it was smaller than the rats. So I step on one of the rodents, put my foot right across it's neck, and twist till I feel a pop. The whole time, it's purring/growling, a weird, abnormal sound. The neck-breaking doesn't kill it right away, so I just hold it down, watching it's eyes bug out... All the while holding a conversation with the manager, and my unidentified female companion, who may or may not have been there earlier. I remember not wanting to remove my foot from the animal until I was certain it was dead; Eventually, I took my foot off, and it lay there motionless. Creepy, non? I don't have nightmares anymore; Just shit like this.
