11:37 PM:
Normal? No such thing...
But things are gradually taking a semblance of... ummm.... order? Shall we say? Discussions of last week's events are becoming less, at least with the people I know, which is good, because even though I don't want to seem insensitive about not wanting to talk about it, but the whole thing still depresses the hell out of me, so I'm glad things are shifting focus for me. Thankfully my friend Zoe who was out in New York is fine.. just a little... stranded. And speaking of friends in America, my very good friend Angela is embarking in a move from Conneticut to Texas, via car, so best of luck and be careful, hun!!
I watched "The Green Mile" today, which has Tom Hanks in it, and it's a great film. It's based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King, and it is a fantastic film. Very emotional. Sad, funny, heart warming, horrific... but definitely one of the best films I've seen in a long time, and one I'd recommend anyone to see. May write a review, if I can find time...

9:51 PM:
Argh!!!
Okay, this is one of the bad things about broadband connections. If it goes down, you're screwed. I was without mine for 24 hours, and it was a pain in the arse! I'm involved in a lot of online communities and people wonder where you are when you're not online at your normal times. I have a lot of stuff to deal with, especially with leaving one of them yesterday, due to personal reasons... so for it to go down was a big, big, bastard! Anyway, it's back up now, and I came back to a barrage of ICQ messages and 37 e-mails!! EEK! But I'm coping with them all now. If you sent me an e-mail, I'll try and get back on it as soon as possible! Also, to let you know, I've also changed my AOL Instant Messanger screen name to Wolfman81UK. :) I thought it was more appropriate. ;) So now you know! :D

Yesterday, at Buckingham Palace, during the Changing of the Guards Ceremony, the guards marched while playing the American National Anthem (this is the first time in British history and done at the Queen's request). They then held for 2 minutes of silence.

13 Steps To Nowhere
The "Tattoo The Planet" gig I'm going to on Saturday has been postponed. Shouldn't have surprised me really. Slayer, Static-X and Biohazard are still all stuck in the USA, and Pantera doesn't want to play because A) the other bands aren't there and B) they feel it'd be a bit tasteless to be playing so soon after what had happened. I'm inclined to agree. So it's been moved to October 13th, and all tickets are still valid. Suits me okay, really, cause my toe is still playing me up, and I still have the day off work. :) So, it's all good. I have 4 days to try and relax before going back to College proper now.

All The World I've Seen Before Me Passing By...
I'm telling you, it's a very odd feeling to just stare into space for 15 minutes at nothing, thinking about nothing, mind almost completely blank. That's what I was doing just now. Doing absolutely nothing. Just staring at nothing. Thinking about nothing. Then I snapped out of it to see that 15 minutes or so had passed. It's a very, very strange feeling.

Doing My Bit...
Being here in Britain, I've felt like I haven't been able to do a lot for the people suffering in the US at the moment except for extending my deepest heartfelt sympathies. But now I've been able to contribute a bit more directly in the form of donation to the American Red Cross via Amazon.com to the Red Cross Disaster Relief fund. I donated $5.00, which is all I can donate for now until I know whether my loan has come through. But it's something, at least, and I may contribute more when I can. If you want to contribute, you can donate anywhere between $1 and $100 by going here. I've done my bit and it feels good. :)

The Morning After The Night Before...
Or rather the evening after the day before, when bedlam and tragedy struck. Still really can't make any sense of it all. I doubt I, or anyone else, ever will. Still can't understand how anyone could do this to another human being, let alone thousands. My only thought is at the "people" who did this are completely blind and insane. But really, it's best left to the people who are doing the investigating to do the thinking about who did this, and what should be done. All we, the people of the world can do, is send sympathies out to those whose loved ones were lost, and hope that... well... just hope. And one thing that we must remember too is that life is precious.
Speaking of life, I'll try and get off the bleak subject for 5 minutes and just say what's going on with me, for what good or for those who really care at this point in time. Which won't be many, hell, I don't think even I care what is going on with me. But still, it's my life, and I can't solve the world's problems, as much I would like to, so I should concentrate on what I can affect. Anyway, I went back to College today, and while listening to boring claptrap about plagurism and creative, analytical and critical thinking, I've certainly ascertained that this year at College is going to be extremely difficult, and busy. I'm going to need to be organised, for one thing, and put in an extraordinary amount of effort. Which I do feel like doing. I want to do well, and I am looking forward to starting a fresh set of modules. The only thing holding me back from a completely positive outlook is the fact that the organisation of the course still seems... poor... at best. I have no idea of what to do for my Dissertation (sp?) which is the biggest part of the course, let alone this year, and a few other unclear points. If I can the dissertation decided, and the course underway, and everything sorted, I'm sure I'll be fine. I'll just have to take it day by day. The one piece of good news is that for this semester, I only have to go into College for 2 days per week, which is very cool, although I am going to need a lot of the time to do the undoubtedly immense amounts of work.
But that's it on my front, I now have to organise myself and write a 250 - 300 word (not a lot I know) essay about what I hope to get from Nescot! Wee. Well, quite simply put... a degree with honours!

10:49 PM:
I was downstairs, watching the news again, they showed footage of someone waving out of one of the World Trade Center windows shortly before it went. I felt like crying, really. My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies go out to all of those who lost their life and loved ones in this horrendous attack. I can't even imagine how Americans and people who have lost loved ones must feel right now. If you are in the USA and over 17 years of age, then give blood, please.

8:25 PM:
What a draining day so far. I feel achey and a bit ill. The Nostradamus quote was creepy. But I'm not saying it was right, of course. It is fitting, but not nescessarily right. Now I'm going to try and go somewhat back to normal, I know it's hard, but I have work to finish and I don't really want to hear anymore about it for now. It's doing my head in. All we can do now is hope for the best. I have to go back to College tomorrow, at least for an introductory thing. That's going to be fun, I don't think. Speaking of College, my mate Stuart has a brother visiting New York, so let's all hope he's okay. But that's the last thing I have to say on today's events unless something major happens. I need a Beer...

3:39 PM:
This Day Will Go Down In Infamy..
Holy shit... this is fucked up. The World Trade Center had two hijacked planes crash into it, and one of the towers has now collapsed. And there has been a plane crash into the Pentagon, and reports of a second explosion there are as well. My messaging programs are going crazy with people asking me whether I've heard the news and unfortunately I have. I have AIM ticker going on full speed, and, really it's unbelievable. And scary. No-one knows who has done this. But this is just inhuman. No-one deserves this. This is just sick, and wrong, and I... can't even find fucking words for it. I'm talking to someone from Alaska, someone from Manchester, someone from Germany, someone from Denmark, and someone from the Netherlands and we're all in fucking shock. However did this needs to pay, and pay dearly. There's new news coming in all the time... it's Hell... simple as that...

7:06 PM:
Due to popular to demand...
Due to the inordinate amount of hits I've been getting through various search engine requests for the System of a Down "Toxicity" lyrics, I felt it prudent and my duty to put up a page with the lyrics to Toxicity. Yes, I sat down and typed out all the lyrics from the booklet onto the site. Aren't I good to you? Now people who want the lyrics and who come here will now be able to get them! I've put it in the (unfortunately sparse) articles section of the site. Go and read them here. One thing this has done though, and that's make me want to write a "Toxicity" review, so keep an eye out for that sometime.
I should just be finishing work right now, but my broken toe has prevented me from going. I don't think the assistant section manager was very pleased... ah well, damn shame, her tough luck, cause it's not a lot I can do about it.
