First the shock...
Then the sorrow....
Now the anger....
The nation has a lot or emotion right now. It has been a time of firsts for me:
The first time our air space has been shut down - ever!
The first time an attack this bloody has been executed on American soil by a faceless cowardous group.
The first time in as long as I can remember that a major network news anchor has used words relating to government and religion in the same sentence.
The first time in as long as I can remember that a major network news anchor has said "Jesus Christ"
The first time in as long as I can remember that a major network news anchor has had nothing bad to say about our Commander & Chief.
The first time in as long as I can remember that a major network news anchor has allowed a member of the church talk about the blood of Christ and what it means to humanity.
The first time in as long as I can remember that both houses of congress have stood together on anything.
The first time I've seen such a brazen showing of patriotism and unity in the general population.
I won't go into how much I regret the attacks because I'm not ready to heal yet - I won't be ready to heal until after we are well on our way to fighting these cowards.
How long will it take? It doesn't matter. Who's budget will the money come from? It's not relevent. Just look at the pictures from these attacks and think about it.
I urge you to use your shock, your sadness, & your anger to support your neighbors, your friends, and your nation in the fight against those who serve the forces of evil.
Don't be in a hurry to put this behind you - don't be in a hurry to heal...it's your greatest source of strength.
I am reminded of a leader that once was the historical end of America's innocence once before....
"Ask not what your country can do for you.... Ask what you can do for your country."
This is another day when an American innocence has been lost - it can also be a new beginning. It will be up to those that care.
Do you care?

Inspiration For The Day:
The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship.

Sorry for the extended period of outage time on the random cam & some other services.... I have been trying to get Windows 2000 Advanced Server running on my server, but have had some issues with the firewall (lack there of.)
Microsoft is such a pain in the ass sometimes.... oh well... At least I'll have terminal services for my Epod now.
My friends from Virginia are in town - we have been trying to entertain them and their cute kiddies...
We had dinner at Calamity Cafe this evening. Was quite good... too much food though...
Anyway.... night!

Inspiration For The Day:
I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, -- but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

Stop the mindless wishing that things would be different. Rather than wasting time and emotional and spiritual energy in explaining why we don't have what we want, we can start to pursue other ways to get it.

Inspiration For The Day: I am only one
We don't need more money, we don't need greater success or fame, we don't need the perfect body or even the perfect mate. Right now, at this very moment, we have a mind, which is all the basic equipment we need to achieve complete happiness.
