See? Told you I'd try to do this more often... Well, Comm labs are officially over... Yahoo! Well... not really, they were lots of fun.. Today K-man demonstrated the Spectrum Analyzer to us... We could see the voltage vs. frequency graph and on it, a number of live broadcasting stations throught southern ON and northeastern NY. That was cool. I should have brought in my CB radio if I had anticipated how usefull it could have been. Well, that's it for now... time to head home for a weekend cram session before exams hit... Wish me luck... Oh, Guardian still isn't back to school... those damn TA's are still on strike. Sniper (Watcher of Observer.... you decide..)

Well, no excuses, I've been busy, never bothered to keep you up to date. So, here's a quick summary... Since my last post we've had mid-terms at school, overall I did quite well. I had a presentation on the Oak Ridges Moraine (http://www.stormco.org) and that was a success, lots of cool pictures! On October 29th we played paintball again at Wasaga Beach in their player appreciation day... that was a blast 6 cent paint, no regestration fees.... excellent day! Now, for some gun upgrades.... I plan to add an Expansion Chamber and a bottom line to my trusty old spyder. Mike bought Chris' old VM-68 and some goggles, Alan is planning to pick up a Compact 2000 some time in the new year. Mike and I managed to get 4000 paintballs to play with, should be fun, now if only we could get some air... Now it looks like the next paintball date could be December 19th in Brampton.... if our scheduals don't change... Ah, ever heard of junkyard wars? it's amazing... I watched the JYW marathon on TLC the other day... that's exactly what I love to do... I'll have to form a team to compete some day... Though, for now I will continue with my plans for an all-terrain robotic weapons platform... will be intersting, I'll post some pictures soon...
Well, that's it for now... Seems like Alan will be refered to as Guardian from here on in, he thinks that I may fit "the watcher" persona, so we'll see what comes out of this... Mike is still Mike, or Spike, or whatever weird name he comes up with this week...
Sniper (Watcher) out...

Paintball was good... no, excellent! It took longer than expected to regester, but it was worth it in the end! Many kills, and the rest of the crew had a great time. Spike played Mr. Conservation for the first few rounds, but once he realized he had to save 3 kids on our team who were out of paint, he pulled a rambo! Ęthon was stock, lock and ready to rock as soon as he entered the field, stylin' with his silver paintball shoes. We tried to work as a team, but kept getting separated the first few matches. But, practice makes perfect, and by the end of the day we were a well oiled machine, providing covering fire as one member advanced etc. All in all it was a great day, good thing too.. because Friday at the Docks was a total waste of time... The best part of that day was finding the soft cushion at the RYH. Well, that's all for now. Time to plan the next date... November look good?

When will the insanity end? Quite soon, I'm sure of that. By the weekend I'll be so wound-up that paintball will be a needed relief. Today wasn't so bad... but the tests are a comin' and they don't look pretty. But I know I will do well, just have to bother studying... Now... where can I find a 3V Maxell button cell battery in 3 days? My sight will be useless without it... Sniper (it's easier with the sight)

For now atleast, I will read the production text to start soldering my board... isn't life grand? I don't mind the practical work... it's just the lab reports...

Ok, I lied... we did head home... but only because it took us 5 minutes to realize that the class was cancelled... And Don's class is easy so we decided to get the notes later... well, time to create a smashing telco lab... Sniper

Well, the huma test went well. Now it's time for Jiwa to sign off my lab and we head home... well, not quite... before that I'll have to suffer on while copying 14 pages of info from overheads in telco. Then to add insult to injury, we pay Don a visit for a 50 minute rendition of AM TX and how the RF PA works... What a life...

Ah yes... the magic of the internet. Is it just another tool to distract me from my telco and huma homework? Is it free or determined? Then what, I ask, am I doing here? Right this minute? Wasting 5 minutes that could have been spent learning about Freud and Bell. Exposing myself to undue electromagnetic radiation. Why? Becuase... School Sucks... and I'd rather have some cheezy fun than get bored to sleep by a text book!
Back to the salt mines I go...
