Well, I'm sure that everyone has heard about the terrible, terrible tragedy that occurred this morning. Being on Eastern time and being up at the same time as all these events, I've watched it all unfold as it happened. There is a lot of shock. New York is awfully close (relatively speaking), and the crash near Pittsburgh is even closer. There was a plane at Cleveland's Hopkins International Airport that was secured and kept on the ground because of suspicion of it having a bomb on board. Cleveland's major downtown buildings have been evacuated. It's rather frightening to think about the ramifications of this incident, not just in terms of what may be coming in the future, but that something like this couldn't have been pulled off without a lot of planning. My prayers and sympathies go out to those who have lost their lives or their loved ones in this disaster.

In other, less depressing news: Happy Birthday, Adam!

Wow, there's been a lot going on lately. Mike and Becky have been off on their Honeymoon, and even though they're mostly at the house on weekends, it's been a little weird not having them around. Forunately, they'll be back Thursday. Even weirder than that is that Newt is going to be moving back to Columbus, leaving Jeff and I in the house by ourselves. And then there are at least two engagements that I know about. The times, they are a changin'.

Just a quick note, can I call 'em or can I call 'em?

Well, unbeknownst to me, Rej changed the address of his weblog, so the links at the side should work now. On some of the pages at least. The rest will be update later.

In other news, I don't think I'm going to finish what all happened between June and August, well, largely because Mike and Becky's wedding was the biggest thing. Mostly it's been EQ and TV since then. With a brief trip to San Fran for me for a seminar on a database of medications we use in our software.

Also, this weblog is a year old as of August 1st. Yay! Too bad I was too much in San Fran to do anything about it. :-)

Well, here it is, as promised, the quite possibly long and quite possibly boring tale of my past two months. And no, I didn't mean to start up again two months to the day from when I stopped. It was an accident. Really.

I may have to do this in parts, partly because it may be long, and partly because I am working on my laptop in the family room watching Samurai Jack. So anyway, where to begin? Well, the first thing to mention is definately Mike and Becky's wedding. We drove down to the Farmington/Uniontown area of Pennsylvania the day before the wedding for the wedding rehersal and dinner. The rehersal went smoothly, though one of the groomsmen wasn't there for the start of it. :-) The rehersal dinner was nice, and afterwords we went out boozin' for Mike's bachelor party. It was a sedate affair, with some drinking and tale-telling. The next morning we got up, got into our tuxes (those of us who were in the groom's party) and headed out to the church. The ceremony was very nice, and there weren't any problems. We were all very happy for the newlyweds. The reception was also very nice, with good food, and the requisite dancing. The next morning we said our goodbyes and headed home.

Unfortunately, Samurai Jack was very distracting (check it out on Cartoon Network if you get a chance), so I will have to call this part one, and continue tomorrow. See you then!

Trying to get back into the swing of writing here, I'll have a nice long update this evening. It'll include some of the exciting things that have been happening recently, well probably more like all the exciting things. Expect it to be a bit on the longish side. Notice that I've said long twice, take that as a warning if you don't want to read a lot. :-) I'd do it now, but our work network is going bonkers.
