The Niolu's Fair was such a let down ! I can't stand how our cultural association is always cast apart in remote hidden locations just because we don't sell crepes and sandwiches like those in the spotlights do. But I'm getting used to it, people don't have much esteem for culture nowadays, except if it can be sold easily.
It would have been OK if everything went well in that remote place, but of course problems come by the handful: first the electricians couldn't come with a reliable installation and the voltage was going up and down randomly, shutting down our computers randomly. That was resolved when they made people shut down their fucking percolators and garland lights.
Next thing was the ISDN line. We were said we'd get an ISDN line just for us. Turned out to be an ISDN line for another radio, that we tried to share for a moment until a guy from the organisation team came and tried to fix things, which of course made everything blow up at our noses. So we were all phoneless and since our main attraction is our online corsican database we were also sitting there aimlessly. We packed our stuff and went back to Cervione on the afternoon. - talk(0)

Received my phone bill in euros, woohoo. I was looking at the sum and I thought it very unusual to see only 52.84, I remembered I used to pay at least 300 french francs every 2 months. That's when I realized it was in euros.
Same thing happened last june when I received the electricity bill: this time 657. I was jumping for joy, yay only 657 francs for the winter ! The next second I was drowning in tears, it was 657 euros. - talk(2)

Everything's blurry.

I'm back in my small appartment (47 square-meters, that's like 500 square-feet, and yes I find that small) in Cervione, Corsica. Today's windy, and oh-what-a-surprise today 20 fires were set around the island. Fuck firestarters. Some parts of the road were like painted in red, because of the sun through these dark red smoke clouds. Yesterday Pat (my stepfather) and I talked about the proper punishment for firestarters. I'm for insecure dangerous prison sentence, the kind where you got to have muscles or else you become the big prisoners' sex toy. Pat is for burning parts of their body. We love firestarters.

Kwan is gone last thursday, and I'm only started to get back to usual life. Yesterday I woke up thinking "where shall I take her today ?", then I kept serving 4 dishes at lunch and dinner. I so easily get used and attached to people. I grow sentiments towards friends. I must work on defining the limits to attachment, it doesn't seem right to become attached to a friend, just like this *fingers snap*. - talk(0)
