alritey, i figgered i could at least show you THIS so you'll know what i'm doing. that's AfterEffects and that's the animation for the "Now Featuring" icon. lovely ain't it? it can do everything except export to Shockwave/Flash. 'sides, it's for broadcast quality animations anyhow, which i'm doing. hehe.

well, my a.d. is not yet in today. i've finished up the animations for 2 logo-icons but they haven't been approved yet. i suppose i can at least finish up as much as i can before the a.d. comes in and if he wants me to redo the original file and/or mess with the animations, then cool. and i don't like Freehand as much as i like Illustrator. cuz i can't import layers into AfterEffects using Freehand. booooooo.

ahh, just messin around at the Dell website to see what i could've REALLY gotten as a workstation. for the tip of the iceberg, dual P3-933mhz, 2 GB RDRAM and dual 21" monitors with 4 RAID redundant harddrives along with 4 36GB SCSI drives and a prooooofessional openGL videocard , the Wildcat Pro (i think it's an openGL card) and an additional "ThinTwin" dual flatpanel 18" monitors for who knows what. and it all comes out to a modest $27,636 or $911/month on the business lease. hmmmm.

ahhh. it sounds like the P-man and L-boogie are having a busy day today. or maybe the whole support section is just being kinda loudish haha. did i mention that Hat-guy is cool? yeah, the one that's stalking L-boogie. haha. i think he's in charge of hardware/physical installation on the facility. yeah. anyways, i better get to work. i know what i have to do today, and i just need to produce.

what started off as a quiet morning, turned into a big storm, ending in a semi-peaceful afternoon. cuz i was finishing up the animation for the news icon while listening to the soundtrack from Pi, the motion picture. completely awesome. gonna copy it on da duplicator tomorrah ahha. \/ y'alls.

do ya miss me? haha. anyways, i'm finally starting to put the draft logo-icons onto digital and it's taken a long time to get an approval from my a.d. my vpmd said i should keep "bothering" my a.d. since that's the only way to get a good idea of what he wants. as opposed to getting "it looks good to me, BUT IT'S WRONG!" hahah. they told me right away, "G, if we mess with ya, it means we like ya." wordage. so yeah, i don't feel like "bothering" him much since i know he's a really busy guy. seems like he's in a meeting all the time and he's got all this other work to do in front of the comp. i'm glad he says i've been very helpful tho. awww yeah. oh oh, Left-eye, another L-woman, who's in charge of facilities, has hooked me up with a brand spankin' new ELECTRONIC PANASONIC GRAPHITONIC PENCILLONIC SHARPENER! hahaha. i do this job for the perks... the perks. hahaha.

whoa. had a project status report meeting at 11am, and that wasn't over til 12:15pm arounds. buncha cool stuff in the conference room. we have this conference call device, looks like something outta a sci-fi movie. the main "pod" has 3 full-duplex (i think) speaker/microphone combos. then there are 2 other mini pods with 1 full-duplex speaker/microphone. and there were about 8 of us in the room sometimes talking at the same time with the Minneapolis Production Group. i'm part of the San Francisco Production Group, btw. so yeah, we went through about 10 project updates. and my name was actually mentioned a lot in the discussion haha. i really feel like part of the team.

and after alla that (which was really A LOT), we had a company BBQ. they're trying to break the pinata outside now, but i really gotta "fly" on this upcoming project that should be done by Friday. whew.
