It was amazing to me that while voting this morning, there were a number of races/referendum questions that I'd never even heard of before. This is scary because I consider myself fairly well-informed, and even went out of my way to learn about all of the issues involved. Which makes me wonder about what the ill-informed were writing down as they stood in there little red white and blue voting booths.

The application for admission to Graduate School was mailed on Saturday. While on the face of things this seems a fairly simple thing to do, you must understand that the mailing of this application ends a long line of aborted attempts at filling those damned things out. At any given point I had at least one application to some thing or another hanging out on my desk, begging to be finished. It was always something. Transcripts are a hassle, the essays are stupid, this is waaaay to long. And so this marks a milestone. I actually did it.
Of course I'll be kicking myself when I get the skinny envelope of rejection instead of the fat envelope of redemtion.
