Whoops, no excuse for lack of entries over the last week other than general uselessness.

Dot com doom news from moreover.com - a handy collection of links to stories about the latest startup failiures.

Forget Beanie Babies, and adopt was of these friendly looking mumbleboy toys. Can be bought at Ambient Soho.

This is a highly disturbing case of cute toys gone way toooo far.

The Lux site is meant to be going live today... still we've waited this long.

Another website from our celebrity spotters.. Codeine Demons... and according to them its London bar and restaurant reviews are funnier and more entertaining than ours... the cheek!

Just discovered that one of our celebrity spotters has a rather nifty weblog.

Mean Fiddler have got a new umbrella site for all their venues and festivals... warning: completely gratuitous Flash job.

www.mycity.com.br is a Brazilian project which brought together web designers from 43 different cities, each producing a personal website about the city in which they live or were born. 3 Days in London by less rain is a shockwave game where the user plays the part of a tourist on a three day photographic frenzy scooting through the city taking snaps of everything from to the Queen Mother to bags of greasy chips. At the end of the game you go back to your hotel room where you can email your pics as a virtual postcard. More fun than a visit to The London Tourist Board website

Used to be a big fan of Degrassi Junior High.. sensitive 'issues' drama for naive kids. Ideal for watching after extra-curricular drama club. Wouldn't you just know it that nice little Arthur Kobalowskie would end up with a shaved head, big beard and severe weight problem. Nice (and surprising) to see none of the girls wound up in second-rate porn though.

Discovered that SPIKE Magazine now produces a Jeff Noon website. Freddie wrote a review of the Needle in the Groove launch back in May and I spent a while digging around for online resources... think SPIKE have pretty much got it covered here.

American Movie comes out on Friday. Mike Schank seems like a bit of a dude. Call him! Mail him! Listen to his guitar lessons live on the Internet!

Stick figure sex?

It's TVGoHome day.

Quote of the day: 'If you keep catching the wrong fish, then try changing the bait'- words of wisdom for the laydees from the current queen of daytime TV (and Norwich.) Plus state of the art Virtual Chat Show!

Both Sleazenation and Dazed & Confused have had rather tasty makeovers.

Quick! Only two days left to buy £10 tickets for the Truck 2000 festival. After that the price goes up to an extortionate £15! And while you're there you might want to take a look at scumzine.

Anne Marie has re-designed the online version of amp minizine. And it's true, it really, really is the tits. I reckon it looks pretty damn wickedly good. If you've never read Love & Rockets there's a nice piece on girl comics. I read it and had to go and dig out all my old copies.

Modern Urbanists: A while ago Breathe got in contact about providing content for their site suggesting that Insomnia has a similar target audience. In particular they were after our listings.. which take me bloody forever to put together.. so I was kind of reluctant to start donating them to huge great sites with tons of funding. It was one of those deals where you give them stuff to publish on their site and in return they put a l'il teeny weeny acknowledgement and maybe even a link if you're lucky which will drive huge amounts of traffic to back to your site. People like Jamie Evans..... decided against it.
