Learn from your mistakes... Well it just happened to me again...Blogger timed me out!!! URGHHHHH...so frustrating, I would have lost everything... ...But I copied my post this time. "now i know...and knowing is half the battle...YO JOE!
"I Cook and then I Chill....ahhhhh yeahhhhhhhh" Well since i was so pissed off yesterday...i'm going to tone it down a little today. I'm still a little bitter that my post about my weekend was lost. Maybe it was for the better because it was so long. So just to sum up my weekend in a short paragraph, here it goes. First of all, it did not live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong...i had the most fun with my friends for the first time in a REALLY LONG TIME, but i expected more...(does that sound selfish?) This past weekend i ws thinking was going to be a "reunion" of the BARKADA We would all be in the bay area at the same time and it was somewhat exciting to me because most of us also had our significant others. Unfortunately that window of opportunity got smaller and smaller as events during the weekend past. First of all, no one really knew if Tim was going to be in town. Then Miguel and his lovely girlfriend had to leave on Friday, then Saturday (the day of Neil's graduation party) Joe was only there for an hour or so. Nothing was wrong with any of this, but it just shows that we all have your busy lives and it is so difficult for all of us to be at one place at one time. Hell i forgot to take a picture for crying out loud. That was the one expectation that was disappointing to me. But to look at the positives. I did get to see all my friends. Whether it was for an hour, a day, or even a few days. You can never have too much of that. Monday, June 18, 2001

I need to start elaborating on my blogs a bit more. I guess since i've been so busy with school shit...i haven't had the time/effort to make my blogs interesting. I just update them..just to update them. So i apoligize to the few of you out there that actually read this.
"Joe Gunchy" I just found out yesterday that my favorite professor in the Computer Science Department here at Sacramento State pasted away last week. I just took his final 3 weeks ago and he was 'strong' or so i thought. "Joe Gunchy" was his way of relating to his students of a person asking stupid/obvious questions or performing wrong implementations of programming code. Okay well just thought i would write about that today. So i hope Dr. Gwynn is resting in peace! Monday, June 11, 2001
"nobody walks in LA" This weekend went to my cousin's wedding in Los Angeles...can you say....borrrrrriiiinnnnnggggg. Actually it wasn't too bad, got to see family from the Philippines that I met for the first time (actually met when i was 2). So i got a lot of "you look so much like your father"...can't they come up with more uplifting words?! anywayz, i think the more important reason why i didn't enjoy myself to the fullest was because Alisa was not able to come to LA with my family and myself. She was just going to come down for the weekend and visit her friends while i was at the wedding. I think it would of been fun taking a road trip with her. The only road trip we've taken is one we took a few years back to Las Vegas. That was a lot of fun! So that was a bummer that the plans changed at the last minute. Also another reason i did not enjoy myself as much is because my good friend Neil was graduating from the University of Washington and i wasn't able to make it. Congrats neil, you're almost done!!! alright well i'm just rambling. I got shit to do...and no time to do it. Doesn't summer school just suck.... Æ Wednesday, June 06, 2001
 That was my weekend summed up in one phrase. Went to Lake Tahoe for my brother's bachelor party...and thought it was pretty ironic that i saw this sign inside Harrahs casino's "Forest Inn Buffet". Last weekend was a complete failure in my part to win any money. Harrahs showed me no love...and i was down and out. "got no money, you got no car, and you got no women and there you are!"--young MC As for summer school....psssshhhh...this is going to be a tough 6 weeks. Lots of work and i'm on campus from 9am-520pm Monday-Thursday. People in my classes ain't too bad, but the work is pretty damn demanding. Æ Friday, June 01, 2001
getting old?!?! Well i consider myself a fairly young man in his early 20s, but yesterday i second guessed that. why you ask? well here is the story of yesterday... First of all, i've been growing my hair now for the past 5 months and i've been noticing i've got a lot of white/silver hairs peaking through my dark brown and black head of hair. This problem all started when i was approximately 8 years old. My sister pointed out i had a white hair and she proceeded to pull it out for her enjoyment. i thought nothing of it at the time, but then in the past 14 years the number of white hairs have increased slowly. So i've come to the conclusion that it runs in the family. Grey hairs are just something Estrella's get while they are young, but it most of skipped a generation because neither of my parents have greys....or at least as many as i do. So...yesterday i was brushing my teeth and i was looking at myself in the mirror, commentting that i need to start eating better because i was breaking out. I took a closer look at my face and realized that i needed to shave. Then i even took a closer look at myself...and i almost shit in my pants. I HAVE FUCKING GREY FACIAL HAIR!!!! "i was so in shock my heart went down south" end of story.... i'm heading to tahoe for my brother's bachelor party. hopefully i win some money...i'm in dying need of that. |
