As it Happens...

Hi Everyone! Yep, I'm still kicking around. Not EQing as much as I used to, but still keeping a hand in :) I've become somewhat of a "weekend EQ'er" as someone said in my guild. Real life's been busy as usual.

Tonight we went on a Fear Raid :) and I got a LOVELY new shirt! my cleavage is back! hehe. I thought it was gone forever with my BCP but here it is again.

Lately I've been only playing when I have made plans to do so. Playing a lot of RA2 instead with Gwen (Red Alert 2) which is quite fun even though I'm very terrible at it.

Finished up my resume this weekend. The next step will be to start searching for a job so that I can move to Ohio and live with Gwen. It's been a year now and we're getting quite tired of living apart. Wish us luck :)

It's been awhile since my last post. Lets see... what's new.

Met a whole group of great people :)

• Felinea - Great Enchanter and a sweetheart to boot. She's leveling quickly though - lvl 49 now... Hope she doesn't go the way of Krisania and outdistance us too soon :) I still miss Kris.
  

• Kendaila - One of the funniest, spunkiest warriors I've ever met. She has a habit of talking to the monsters just before we kill them which is odd in a way - I've sometimes wondered about her sanity, but never her friendship.
  

• Mysha - Kendy's sidekick. She's an erudite cleric and never lets us die (well not very often anyways).
  

• Symbul - A little fireball of a wizard. She's a cute little gnome - I still have a soft spot for gnomes. Symbul joined us when Kendy met her while questing for her jboots.
  

• Zeraath - the only male of our little group. He likes to call us his "girl gang" I think it's the pimpish in his lizard background coming out. Zer's a great shaman. Since Actale, I've also had a soft spot in my heart for members of the iksar race.
  

• Gwendolyn - Of course Gwen is always near to my heart. She's level 45 (as am I) and once again getting weary of life in Norrath. I'm endeavoring to do all I can to sustain her life with me a little longer, at least until our first dragon raid, and a couple runs up into the planes. Who would have thought that us little girls would one day rise up into the sky and float the planes together. The planes without Gwen would indeed be a scary place.
  

Amorath has gone into retirement to be replaced by an UGLYASS troll by the name of Glentok. Glentok was also helped along into his adulthood by Ayla, in exchange for which a whole passel of neat items appeared in my bags. Most noteably a Paw. Thanks again Glen :) The item is wonderful, and I was so not looking forward to the long and boring camp.

I will conclude this entry, although there is much I have left unsaid. I'd like to note that the most important things in life are the friendships you form. First there was Honorious and Riversong, then Actale and Krisania, and Malyna and now my current group. I will never forget them. And thanks Gwen, you've been by my side through it all. Please don't leave me now!! To 50 and Beyond!!!

Did some more PowerLeveling with Amorath the enchanter today - got him from just under 10 to 12 in unrest in under an hour. There were a bunch of other people powerleveling there too. It's kinda fun - lots and lots of healing :) Maybe tonight I'll see if he wants to do it again while Gwen's at work till 10:30. My baby got a new job!!! Yay Gwendolyn - I'm proud of you :*

We spent more time in the Executioner room trying to get Gwen an exe axe. Couple more hoods dropped instead - one of which I'm trying to sell -- give me a tell in game if anyone's interested.

I decided I want a Paw :) Gwen said she'd help me get it, what a sweetie. Looking forward to this weekend - I believe it's a long one due to Thanksgiving. I want to get to be high levels :))) and go on plane raids and kill dragons and stuff. Of course, who doesn't? ;P

Still missing my friend Senguier :( he used to keep me from being bored while medding and waiting for pops and pulls and stuff. COME BACK SENG!

Night before last Gwen stayed up till 7am in the exe room without me. Bad Gwen. She said she made some good friends though so I'm looking forward to meeting them!

Guess who showed up last night!!!!

ACTALE! Yay :) We haven't seen him in ages. It was great to hang out with him again. We went to play seafuries and cyclopses. The AC didn't deign to show himself for slaughter which was okay by us since Gwen and Actale both have Jboots already and I much prefer my wolf feet.

Also newsworthy is the our up-and-coming new enchanter friend Amorath. He's only level 7 right now but I'm hoping for some clarity in the next few days ;P
He's a real life friend and Gwen's soon-to-be-ex-roomate if all goes well. Since he'll be moving :( he decided it best that he switch to Torvonnilous from Veeshan so he can stay in touch.

Gwen wants to go to Guk and get an executioner axe now. I think that is a good idea. It gives me such a kick to see big crits. And I tease her about the Critical Hit (31) messages she gets with her wimpy little morning star.

She updated our webpages and put in the new inventory -- I forgot to mention the new nightshade wreath i got the other night. 5 Wisdom. :)

I'm Baaaaaaack!!!
Woohoo. Gwen finally reactivated her account and we've officially acutally fought twice together and even had fun!
We killed some cyclopses and seafuries the other day in OOT with Falen and Cinaden which was fun and good experience. Gwen even got a ring of the ancients. What she needs that for when she has me is questionable though ;P Although it will be nice not to hear her whining about losing sow on corpse runs :)

I spent last week visiting her in Ohio. 9 whole days with my baby :) We definately have to live together soon. Everything's just so much brighter when she's around. I started a new bard on Veeshan so I could talk to Yolanda. and while she was at work. Her name is Aklia if anyone wants to say hi, but I think I'll be spending most of my time with Gwendolyn on Torvonnilous as long as she is up to playing.

Last night me and Gwen met some new friends - Rennine, Kosruth and Kin-something (A fun ranger). We ported around for what seemed forever getting Paladin armour, then finally went and out-and-out massacred some Shadowmen in WC for Gwen's Shadow Rapier.. then it was off to the Rathe Mountains where we quickly found Hasten and Gwen got her booties. (I can still beat her in a race ;P) Then we looked for some Tsaruk guy but when he went down he didn't have a charm for our ranger friend. Killed numerous Cyclopses then went to bed :)

Tonight I hope we can get more experience! Oh no.. I just remembered... Mistmoore is on the menu yet again... I tend to die there... a lot... over and over again... Noo.. please don't let me go below level 35 - I love looking around too much...

I'm 2 bubbles into 36 and Gwen's halfway to 38 I think. All our friends are WAY past us due to our 2 month absence... and Actale seems to be missing in action :(

Well it happened. Gwendolyn went home :( /cry /pout /cry /bleed

We spent last night with our friends Malyna, Actale, Aandiwan and Pingu in the pool room of Solusek B. It was fun, and me and Gwen managed to die. She went over to check out the King and Champion rooms and had a bit of a nasty train following her back. Healing her aggroed them of course, and they took us both out. Thankfully the rest of our friends were able to find safety at the zone. I was lucky enough to get a resurrection from Rummie - Thanks again old chap :)

I'm now 2 bubbles into level 35. Actale made 37 and Malyna 31 :) I'm not entirely sure what level Gwen is, I think probably 36 or maybe 37. She made me a page on her website too :) And put up all my equipment and everything! Isn't she wonderful? /beam
Now I have to take some screenshots and write a story or something for her :)

Make 35 at long last while hunting the Assassin in Guk :)
It's soooo nice to be able to watch the battle while you meditate :)

I'm now a bubble in to this level of hell called 35. Had some fun fighting spectres with Malyna and Actale after an awful CR where Malyna died multiple times :( Seems the Assassin can see invis. Tried once more to get Gwen her Werewolf Talon, a task which just seems insurmountable. She's gone against her usual style and is now willing to buy a Crafted Breastplate, so if anyone knows of any for sale let me know please :) Wouldn't that make a great gift?

Had a nice time at my aunt's and uncle's barbeque on Sunday followed by a nice early night last night followed by a somewhat early morning :) Which means, hopefully I can play Everquest tonight :) sadly my last with Gwen before she goes home.. Noo.... :(

Almost to 35! Would have been if I didn't have to leave our group in the Bedroom last night and go to sleep. Gwen stayed up till 9am Grrr... woke me up coming to bed. We've had a very good group in the bedroom the past couple of nights, speeding my progress through 34.
Me, Malyna, Kris, Gwen, Actale and Pingu were an amazing team on Saturday night. Everything was going lovely, and the night even had a spactacular, get your heart pumping finale. Pingu was blasting his heart out, then he got nuked in turn.. realizing he was in trouble, he quickly tried to gate only to fall unconcious. Since poor Kris has to work on Sunday she had left, leaving me as the healer. I managed to get a heal off on Pingu so that he regained conciousness in time to gate, then quickly succored the rest of us out while Gwen kept the mobs at bay and we arrived at Butcher Block without a casualty among us :)

Since we had such good look in the BR on Saturday we decided to try the same thing on Sunday. After a rocky start and a few casualties, Malyna and Aandiwen both died (twice i believe?) when invis failed getting in, we had another experience filled evening. After I left for bed, Gwen and Actale found a new room they want to visit next time, I'm so excited :)

I also received a birthday gift from my friend Senguier :) (who btw, mangaed to kill Nagafen! Yay!!!). A lovely ruby veil which enhances my wisdom AND looks good. Thanks again Senguier :)

Tonight I expect to be able to put away my book for good :)

I haven't posted in Every so long! Sorry to all the minions anxiously awaiting word of my travels in Norrath.

Hmm.. what have we done. Since I can't clearly recall all that we have done, I'll just give some high points :)

Met Pingu Cutecuteman a loveable silly little gnome who is in our Guild... Oh, did I mentioned we joined a new guild? It's Soul Cadre! and we love it so far. Have grouped with members from the guild almost every night since we joined. Jaxy from our youth is the First Lady! It's delightful fun.

I had a birthday too! July 7th :) received many nice gifts, Diablo2 among them, but we haven't had much chance to play it yet although it does seem fun.

Made our way to Permafrost last night to get Gwendolyn's frost totem. Upon our arrival it was to discover that the people we had traveled to group with where all dead! nooo... then Malyna quit. Me and Gwen and Actale decided to try to get the Patriarch dead then gate out after looting, a plan which failed since it kept healing ourselves. Actale died and I was sad, but me and Gwen managed to Succor ourselves to East Karana. We needed another to do damage as well so we recruited Yakub, a gnome necro also from our Guild. With Yakub's help we were able to kill the Patriarch, and keep the room for awhile. We even took down an Ice giant! woohoo.... This quickly got boring though so we headed out to Paw, where I got my 34th level!!! And all new spells. Haven't gotten to try them out yet, that will be tonight I hope :) Kris also dinged (I hope) I had to go to bed far past my bedtime and without gwen *pout*.

On a sadder note, my good friend Senguier has been sick lately :( I hope you get better Seng!!!

Went to Kunark to fight with Kharis and friends tonight. It was a lot less than we expected -- we were supposed to have a full group, including a rogue and a cleric! I was a bit sad that we were leaving Actale behind in Antonica, but exploring new lands is always exciting so I let myself be convinced.
We waited for what seemed like ages for a boat, then found out that they were broken! Fortunately with the help of a nice apprentice guide, Krn and Tabitha we were quickly summoned to Firiona Vie! Thanks again guys if you see this.

Upon arriving in Kunark we set off for Dalnir. What fighting we did see was fun, but our group quickly diminished, as most of them had to go to bed early. I died again, no surprise to a bunch of coerced things.

Gwen and I tried fighting a bit on our own after the demise of our group but it was too hard for us alone. There were too many casters in that small hallway next to the zone. So we gated back home to North Karana and met up with our friend Actale :). We killed a few gnolls which was quite good experience, I'm now halfway into level 30.
I camped out at Kelethin, and Gwen and Actale made their way east. Turns out they stopped at a bar along the way and proceded to get quite smashed.. I am given to understand that they even engaged in fisticuffs.. shame shame. And if gossip serves, a rather tall iksar was talking of taking home a lovely elf that night... but I hope that was just a drunken boast.

Best of all, we have plans for tomorrow. Kharis Actale and myself are journeying to Guk once again. It will be Kharis' first time there and I am quite looking forward to it.
Maybe I can get something neat :)

SolA Once again. Are you surprised?

But this time, I got new boots!!! Kobold ones to replace my standard, generic, boring raw-hide ones I'd been wearing for quite some time. Gwen also got a new pair of boots off some Dwarf who wanted tiny skeletons in NK. They are sooo cute. especially when dead Mwahahahah.

Said hello to the inspiration of this Diary, the grand Proximo himself and his lovely mate (I can only assume since I didn't actually see them) Leetah. We met up with a cleric named Ninfie who fought with us. It was sooo nice to have a healer around. A bit of a mix up at the start though, it appears that Ninfie and her side kick Dinfie who I was so excited about are actually run by the same person at the same time. Gwen didn't like the idea of our healer being only half a brain so we only let Ninfie in. She was very good at her job though which was a welcome fact. Gwen, Actale and myself have decided to give the infie combo a try next time and see how well a person can control two characters at once.

All in all, it was a lovely day... of course in my optimism I'm forgetting the annoyance of trying to retrieve my body from the lava pit. It took 10 minutes and had my poor friend Actale diving to his death himself when he got too close to the edge looking for my body. Remember, SOW can KILL.

Got a hug from Senguier too :) he wanted to know what I've written about him in this diary... Luckily I deleted all the bad parts hehehe....

Once again we returned to SolA to fight the Goblins. I love their cute little bums when they're dead on the floor. We were joined by two new people who were quite nice. A plucky little rogue and a fearless warrior. Both quite a bit younger than ourselves but formidable nonetheless.

Gwendolyn can now wipe the floor with myself and Actale, a feat she is very proud of. This came about when she leveled near the end of the evening. Before beginning our adventures I was lucky enough to make the aquaintance of Ninfie, a cleric who is the same level as us. She also has a Shadow Knight friend who is 30 as well. Hopefully one day soon we will all be able to adventure together. I miss my friend Honorius who was a cleric.

It was Senguiers birthday today too!!! (Monday) Happy birthday Senguier :) Come get your hug soon, I'll keep it in reserve for you.

Last night we fought in Solusek's Eye (A). It was pretty fun and I only died once!
We started the night by killing shadowmen in West Commons for our good friend Actale who was on a quest to get his new robe, which he looks very nice in.

Then later we moved on to SolA where we met up with Kharis, who we met in Kunark. Haven't seen much of him lately so it was nice to fight alongside this monk once again. Malyna joined us later in the night, which was great for crowd control. However we got a bit perturbed at one of the necro's who shall remain nameless in the interest of not making enemies for letting his pet get out of control and continually break her mezzes.

We ended the day in a spectacular death by rooting, one of my all time favourite ways to die (can you note the sarcasm?).
