every
wednesday night for the last nobody actually knows how long, a group of
hardened inline skaters have been meeting up for a weekly skate. with
roughly equal amounts of skating, socialising and beer drinking, melbourne
cityskate is seen as the perfect midweek opportunity to get out and
stretch your muscles.
performed at a leisurely pace, and stopping at regular intervals for stragglers to catch up, cityskate is a great place to meet, chat with, and share tips with other skaters. cityskate starts outside the Arts Centre on St Kilda Road, just on the southern side of the Princes Bridge, at 9 p.m. every wednesday (that's every wednesday, rain hail or shine) |

Anyone who's up for an (given the weather and the freezing cold factor) indoor skate anytime soon, drop me a line at balkandishlex@yahoo.com. My skates are beginning to think I don't love them anymore.

Seems the skate has been a bit quiet for the last couple of weeks.... 5 last week and 6 tonight. What happened to the 30+ that were there for the preceeding skates? Hmmm.

last night was fucking grouse. It was without a doubt the best skate i've had in the last six months. A very fast, very free flowing skate down to the beach with about 30 people.. we crashed Gerry's, which was funny... the skate back was some of the fastest long distance skating i've done in a long time.. heard that Sharon's out through injury... hope to see her back soon... rock on and see you all next week.
