Anaís Nin is usually regarded in literary circles as a talented writer who whored out her talent in order to get by financially. Known by most as a tumultous and free-spirited woman of the early 20th century, Anaís's writings, particularly her diaries are a source of insight and intellect. In a time of repression and submissive women, Anaís "loose" ways made her an outcast, embraced only by her fellow artists.
Blue Dog is one artist's reconciliation and tribute to his deceased pet, Tiffany. George Rodrigue began to use the image over and over again in his works, and thus became known as the Blue Dog Man. Blue Dog has developed quite a following, and after several books and galleries in her name, continues to draw folks in with her sad eyes. However, she is also very smart, as evidenced here...
And in the event that you were wondering just how street smart you are, this nifty test will sort things out in a jiffy!
Remember all the hype regarding street culture and how the kids these days have a new language? Confused? Befuddled? Wondering how to go about surviving in the urban wilderness? Fear no more, with these guidelines, you'll have nothing to fear. Thursday, December 28, 2000
Uh....ok. I guess for some folks this becomes some strange form of stress relief. Exploding bunnies...sheesh.
There is something to be said about the horrors of inter-species breeding...the result is what the National Enquirer has declared the "cutest dog in the universe." Meet Mr. Winkle!! Could he be a: pokemon? Howabout a cat in a dog suit? (This one carries some strange S & M connotations...that zipper...hmmmm) It seems the world may never know...perhaps we should inquire of the Tootsie Roll's "how many licks?" owl.... Our civilization is truly on a regressing trend, and are we fading fast. May I present the grandiose and educated spelling talents of this one user of MDMA...and her sob story about her favorite feline...
This is what it all comes down to. Now MDMA is apparently just as dangerously addictive as heroin or cocaine and requires its ownBetty Ford Style Clinic. What next???
Love becomes that obnoxious dinner guest that refuses to leave. Subtle hints don't work, and being flat out and blunt is even more of a failure. The only way to somehow snag it's attention is to mock it when it drinks out of the fingerbowl... Monday, December 11, 2000
The Hamster Dance will never be the same again. Check out what happens when these furry critters get home, and get down and dirty...
Sex sells. It's a known fact, perhaps the only true universal statement. The key to making a fortune in life? Get involved in the sex industry, and becoming a pimp is quite possibly one of the most profitable, not to mention comfortable positions. And for all your pimping needs, check out Pimpdaddy.com
An old fad...it swept the nation...it changed the lives of little children everywhere, and made for world peace - "GODZILLA ATE MY BALLS!" Inspired by the one and only Mr.T, the cult has many loyal followers. And now, a collection of some of the greatest "ate my balls" pages... 1.) David Hasselhoff ATE MY BALLS!!! 2.) Beanie Babies ATE MY BALLS!!! 3.) The Kids of South Park ATE MY BALLS!!! Ok...I think that's enough for now.
Shit like this that requires little to no responsibility, and that you feel no remorse about flushing down the toilet. Perfect gift for the kiddies. But beware...as The State once proved, they can turn on you...
I oftentimes wonder where the great minds of cartoons and comics ran off to - I refuse to believe that Larson went mad, and that kids really like watching afternoon cartoons on the WB. My question remains. Whatever happened to feel good shows, like Grimmy, Stimpy, and the Maxx?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with those of us who are not considered artistically inclined. The truth of the matter is, stick figures are all you really need to know...
Fuck Poochi and Tekno Puppy. Good AI isn't yet available for home use, but with the help of these wonderful peopleat MIT, we can someday hope to leave the task of raising kids to Furby-like gizmos that believe in corporal punishment. I can hardly wait...
The use of psychedelic substances in therapy has been around for a long time. MAPS is an organization that supports research and use of controlled substances for their therapeutic potential. Of current interest is the use of MDMA as an enactogen.
These days, there is way too much hype about the dangers of childhood figures such as Harry Potter and Pokemon, but back in the day, a more terrifying figure lurked around in nursery rooms and children's programming, the beast who can only be spoken of as the purple thing...
Although this domain name truly sounds like quite the gay porn site, it's actually a tribute to one of the greater 20th-century American poets - Catholicboy.com Not to be confused with Alice In Wonderland's creator Lewis Carroll, Jim wrote The Basketball Diaries.
Looking for a new spin on old holiday gifts? Don't really feel like giving yet another fruit cake or a Whitman's Sampler to the kids? Then why not try a Gobler Toy? Take, for example, the educational and entertainment value of Fu Manchu or why not add a cultural spin, with Senor Sandwich? And my favorite, Weiner Works will put an end to any left-overs dilemma! There is something to be said about the utter ridiculousness of the media's portrayal of the rave culture. At the same time, thanks toThose Damn Kids, the rave community will continue to suffer. Monday, December 04, 2000
