Yayyy, I'm now 23 years old. More people are mixing up dates or forgetting my birthday hahahha! My parents forgot too. Ha! =) I had a good night out with my mates at Zouk. Wooooooo!

I'M HOME!!!!!!!!!! =) Glad to have time to write alittle something here. It is HOT HOT HOT here in Singapore, although it is a nice comfort from wintry Melbourne. So far I have not done very much apart from relaxing all week. I went to Sentosa's Siloso beach to find it in a very sad state with murky waters and grimy sand...what a drastic change from the last time I was there! =( Brought home oil stained feet just from walking in the sand, thank gawd I did not swim. The chemical and oil spills around Singapore seems to have invaded Sentosa. I guess I'll be spending more time in the city.

Y'know how music brings back the memories? Sheryl Crow does it for me. I think 1997-1999......conflicted thoughts and figuring out Al. What a mess. I'm listening to her now..... evergreen music.....terrific concert in Singapore....I'm so glad I saw her 'live' !

Speaking of evergreens, R.E.M. is out with a new album and I have yet to get it....what's wrong with me! =)

All sporty and getting lost in crowds of loyal fans decked in full team support outfits...it has been a great weekend!

Saturday I had a really good time out catching a rugby game! Melbourne Storm vs. Canberra Raiders at the Colonial stadium. Go Storm Go! What a game....I half thought I was at a WWF show instead. The Storm team have really cute cheerleaders, a mascot holding a lightning bolt that blasts fireworks whenever he feels like doing so and pyrotechnics which blast fireworks behind the goalpost after every try scored by Storm....lots of fun!

Sunday afternoon I saw the AFL Melbourne Demons vs. Essendon Bombers at the MCG......aussie footy is a really funny sport. I mean, really,really funny. Why does the referee bounce the ball to start off the game in that certain way? What are the chances of having the ball ricochet against their own face when that happens? At half time, all the referees would crowd around the centerfield to practise their bouncing techniques....what a scene! Also, one shouldn't miss when the referee does a throw-in at the sideline,they seem to want to inflict back sprain when they throw the ball backwards, giving a shout at the same?! SO HILARIOUS!!! I'm going to bring my camera the next time I go to a footy game! YAY!

Today I ventured into the valley for the first time. I took a bus to Healesville Sanctuary to see the native creatures of Ozzieland. To get to Healesville, I passed through Yarra Valley. I can't believe how beautiful the landscape becomes just a stone's throw away from my place...in my own backyard really....UNREAL! The buses here aren't the greatest though. After visiting the sanctuary, I missed the bus just as I got to the bus stop even though I was 5 minutes earlier than the printed schedule. Tsktsk. I had a latté and chilled for 2 whole hours back at the sanctuary untill the next bus arrived...that's typical Victoria bus schedule for you. Aiyoh!

On a positive note, Healesville Sanctuary is lovely. I saw the tasmanian devil, the platypus and the wombat for the first time. SO CUTE!
