My friend, ColintheCarrot does not underrate the carrot

colinthecarrot says, "they make good candle holders too. just chop one in half, a chunky one of course, hollow out the centre, instant lightholder.

colinthecarrot says, "some glass candleholders crack when the candle burns down. you dont get that with carrots."

"carrots can also be used as a stamp for painting. carve a small icon in the end, dip into paint, decorate ones living areas"

colinthecarrot says, "or paint the side of the carrot, and roll onto the wall. a very interesting bark effect can be achieved"
I say, "hmm now that is a handy trick"

colinthecarrot says, "and those ferns at the carrot top? they make very pretty table decorations on their own"

colinthecarrot says, "fronds. carrot fronds. aha. beautiful and delicate."

colinthecarrot says, "if you grind up your carrots, they make a magnificent face mask, for skin cleansing."

colinthecarrot says, "and of course, the diamond trade even stole the name carat (changed the spelling thinking we wouldnt notice) to measure their diamonds by"

colinthecarrot says, "oh yes. brilliant idea. CarrotDay is here again. wonderful."

colinthecarrot says, "People in Amsterdam like carrots. That's why their national color is Orange."
You say, "the other vegetables will be squashed"
You say, "then they will clamor for their own day too"

colinthecarrot says, "Such a healthy kind of pasttime. carrot eating. Help one to see in the dark. Could have a Carrotlight Festival in the evening."

colinthecarrot says, "i make carrot wreaths each christmas time."

colinthecarrot says, "carrots, cooked to perfection, lightly finished in a sugar/butter glaze, gently peppered with fine herbs of parsley and dill. sigh."

colinthecarrot says, "oh, and i almost forgot. carrot ice cubes. add just a hint of piquancy to most cocktails."

colinthecarrot says, "a carrot hung by a thread, makes a good timepiece."

colinthecarrot says, "one could carve childrens toys from carots, when they are tired of them,t hey can just eat them. playful and nutritious. a good marketing concept."

Note: if you have any other carrot ideas for Colin the Carrot, please send them and I will forward them to her.

To walk with what I think
I'll go with it
not to stray
To walk with what I think
close my eyes
to other's thoughts in the way,
unmeaningly taking compliance
where I sway
To walk with what I think
I don't need to say
but walk and think
not to stray
no need to explain.~ Cre8tivenest

ok. here's a question. if you had to start your life over, and make decisions again, what do you think you would do?

for college? stay in education or leave and start work?
for romance? stay single or marry?
children? yes or no? more or fewer?
location? where you are, or move elsewhere?

well done pixie, aka jen earl. glad to hear you did so well, and should be starting college about now?

Hello, hallo!!
Feeling much chirpier, oh tally what what! And annoyingly english! Oh bung ho! lol.. ahem.. and the bedroom? Well, missy, it's a very tidy, well-decorated room and I love it to pieces.. my mother doesn't have anything to complain about other than the whole world she lives in collapsing and her average-weight daughter deciding she wants to be just right. ahem. lol. I don't play my music loud, I don't stay up too late, I don't drink or smoke or take drugs or swear around the house or go out of my way to fail my subjects. Makes me wonder why she doesn't like me more. But, nevertheless, my little admirers! Look out world, lickle Jen's gonna take yas all by storm.. yas? Did I just become a commoner? Ohh, cripes, ooh noo ... help! Get the multivitamin tablets out! (I take those, too. And I eat my veggies. And I drink a glass of milk. I'm a good kid.) Oh my god. I was supposed to do the washing up! Well. Yeah. I'll do it tomorrow morning... my mother's just come in and told me to stop being so, and i quote, 'attitudional'. Yeah baby. Cos that's a word.

Actually, yeah. I can see how I get annoying sometimes. It'd help if I didn't say all of that stuff outloud. Yeah? Uh huh... *sheepish grin* bleat bleat..

Listen to some cheery music. Go on, you can do it.
Dont self destruct. I need someone to talk to on msn, and if you go, what will I do?
Maybe if you plan a 'proper' diet with your mum's help, she wont panic so much about your weight.
Dont dwell on the ex boyfriend. He's been, he's gone, and he obvioulsy wasnt worth it. Doesnt matter how much you think about what happened, nothing is going to chage it. So just accept it, learn from it, and move on.
You will grow closer to your sis again, in time. She is having her own problems getting settled on her own. Its a busy time, mentally for all of you.
Go see your friend who has bulimia. Take her a nice box of chocs, erm, i mean, a nice bunch of, inedible, flowers.!! Sorry, trying to lighten your mood. Go spend time with her, if you are allowed. See if you can help each other with your problems.
Dont worry about boring anybody. Bore away. We do it all the time. lol We are easily entertained.
I will eat my hat if you dont get good grades for your GCSE's. Really.
What sort of guitar does your dad play? My dh, Paul, took lessons a couple of years ago to learn to play electric guitar. He has a something or other stratocaster (sp?_.
Right. Now get that bedroom tidied. I've seen tidier rubbish dumps!. GET!.

Hey.

Depressed ramblings from a teenager are as follows: Broken up with a boyfriend of three months one week after sleeping with him. Uh oh. Very clever. Guess who's a slut? Naive at that? Oh well. I'm losing weight quite slowly, my mother's starting to really bother me about it and is now watching me like a hawk.. since she has nothing better to do anymore... my sister has moved out - she's the one i could talk to about Ollie and I but whenever we talk on the phone now, it's so strained, it's like she's the one 400 miles away. One of my best mates just came out of hospital diagnosed with bulimia. My GCSE results are due in a couple of weeks. I guess it's all the usual crap and I reeeeally needed to write it down. Sorry for boring y'all. Um ok thaat's it! :) I realise I shouldn't really write these things, but I'm feeling pretty destructive, so what the hell, at least you'll know why I don't participate in group events or file my nails at the moment. Ha ha. Currently listening to all the sad U2 and Depeche Mode records I can find. that's one love, one life.. bleh...

Bono, you suck. Cheer up.

Plays good guitar though. My dad plays better. . . :)

The Write Times

Lately     when things are quiet       which is not often        I hum a tune

That no one has heard before    the words come      thoughts flow

I find truth

Its strange        how when I am singing    somehow the words come

And I realize what I’m thinking       deep down

I find truth

Feelings revealed    I bare the cost    that truth requires sighing

I hum a tune quietly    think the words only

And hold the truth

Soft light

Full of love

Seven candles

Lit completely

Casting shadows

Mysterious fragrance

Wafting through

An anointed room

The day’s cares are casting off

Tears begin to flow

We never want to go

Repentance only is what He desires

Acceptance of love given for all

Making a way of grace to mercy

In a heart

A new man prays

Candlestick lit

Bread of strength

Incense wafts

To holy of holies

Cleansing   strengthening

Enlightening Growing

Surrendering a humble prayer

…and destiny drags me step by step transitioning me into tomorrow.  Why do I fear the future when today becomes yesterday.  Life will pass on, we will walk, someday looking back at everything accumulating into one deposit box of memories...

Whisper me a song unsung before now…whisper.   Whisper. Whisper. Sing.

I hearken my voice to breathing the sound of… her wish.  Her wish.  Her wish. Sang.

Lifting the airy heart to sublime… whisk her.  Whisk her.  Whisk her.  Along.

So sits on the fence when the day is gone.  Whiskers brush her cheek in song.

I worshipped you as Diana

You worshipped me as Christ

I wound up not even a Saint

My idol WAS hewn out of stone

My search for explanation goes fruitless

Webster is dumbfounded – the entry for Robin

Remains blank to this day

Rosetta offers no translation

Maybe if I could find that missing corner

Not Spynxalean, much harder

More Bilboean, “What has it got in its pockets?”

Ha! The ring that makes you invisible

Now I’ll never find you

Everyone else knows you

Everyone else loves you requitedly

The “Amazing Robin” the hawkers cry

And the hordes throng worshipping

Funny

I don’t hear you in the rain

Or see in you in the stars

Blind deafness may be the toll of pragmatism

I’ve spotted fresh tracks

And even snared you in my net

But like the lowly photon

You resist scrutiny Heisenbergaly

(Whew!)

Maybe your systems are indefinable

My logical syllogisms do not encompass

Your parameters

To me you simply ARE

Everyone else would accept that

As good enough

Maybe I should too
