Loads of new art added- 2 fanarts, 1 original and 2 characters. It takes ages to scan things, so it just feels like loads :P
Also a new RAOV. And that was my entire night's worth of work >.<

Today I scanned a stuffed animal, banged out some weird stuff on my LJ, added a new RAOV (comic) and then screamed for 15 minutes straight because I realized it was September.
the random comic Rabbit: Go to your happy place, Dot!
*Dot gets distracted by David Usher*
Oooh...

YAY!! *celebrates* I got a Gift Art! (actually it was an art exchange, but it was well worth it) Thank you Crissy!!
Also art-related: I re-did and replaced the Kaworu x Shinji picture (believe me, the first one sucked) but now I'm satisfied with it.
Now for some pondering: I noticed a very distinct theme in currently popular anime shows in Japan- homosexuality, particularly with gays. NOT that that's a bad thing (you all know my views!) I'm just commenting.
e.g: I was very surprised to see a scene in Yami no Matsuei which showed a guy in the bath while another kept peeking in on him and blushing. In Gravitation (which is very funny by the way ^^), there involved a passionate kiss between two males. This kind of exposure on daytime TV was simply... different to me, from a world of homophobia and censorship. Maybe the Japanese society is truly centuries more advanced than ours.
There is one reason why I don't enjoy these shows (although I approve of them): they're so darn shoujo. They're all based off shoujo (girly) manga while involves a lot of romance and angst, monologues and flashbacks. For me, I just find shoujo boooring!
That's my opinion. Don't wear it out.

Got an entry eaten by LJ so here it is *sigh*.
A poem by me:

I'm directing a movie, I'm writing a song
My body's been someone else's for much too long
I fight for what it takes to set me free
And you can call me "Ms." cause I belong to me.

It's feminism, activism, equality
It's education, liberation and identity
It's keeping our own name, it's owning our own home
Cause nothin's better than that X chromosome.

She's keeping the peace, but she's preventing silence
She's pro-humanity and she's anti-violence
She's running the White House, she's ruling the courts
She is top player in full-contact sports.

She's breaking the glass ceiling
She's blazing her own trail
She's become a revolutionary
Cause tradition's just gone stale.

We're millionaires, firefighters,
Principals of the school,
Military commanders,
and we're beautiful too!

We're sisters, we're daughters, we're friends, we are mothers.
We're girls, we're ladies, we're queens, we are lovers
We've known for years that sex doesn't matter,
We're breaking statistics and we're getting better!

It originally started out as a song. :P guess that failed. I'm still proud of it. Go, girls.
Updated my "About" page with a desktoppy. Er, that's it.
I have lots of stuff to write about- I just need to get into the mood...

Hallo!! I'm back from vacation! *dusts off webpage*
Damnit, if Livejournal goes on a long strike one more time, I'll have to give it up all together and use two Blogs for updates and journal. Faithful, trusty Blogger....
Taiwan was fabulous. Vancouver was gorgeous. Home is still the best place of all.
Tons of updates today. New artwork in original and fanart! And some still to come.
For Kaworu of NGE fans: Scanned in a few rare Kaworu pictures from my artbook, check it out. (They're at the bottom of the shrine page)
Er, I didn't write as many anime reviews as I liked... (read: zero. Dot is a pathetic slacker.) but a Rurouni Kenshin page is full in the works. As soon as I get a background and some pictures, the page will be up.
And next week, Random Acts of Violence is coming back! *cheers from all around*
Oi, I'm gonna take a nap now.

I had the hugest urge to watch Endless Waltz and I did, accompanied by lots of pocky and green apple soda :@....
Ugh- now I'm going to be sick and have weird freaky dreams, but it was worth it... (hopes to dream of G-guys)

Grr... I need a new mouse!
This stupid little trackball skips and jumps frenetically all over the screen. It's just HORRIBLE for navigating with, let alone CGing! Even my mom, who uses it at most half an hour a day to check email, agrees that it's inaccurate and clumsy- and sometimes it doesn't move at all, no matter how much you shake it. *shakes fist at mouse* You HEAR that, you filthy little INGRATE!
We were all ready and willing to shell out for a most excellent optical sensor mouse (no more moving parts ^____^) but they only came with USB port plugs- and both our ports are filled (scanner and cable- both which I can't live without...) and we have a "special" (read: incompatible for anything else) plug for the mouse. No CPU comes with more than 2 ports, even. DAMMIT! What I would give for a decent mouse...!
