oooh, everybody should download Sloan's "Summer's My Season". It my favorite song du jour. While I was finishing and revising my letter to Christie for her birthday last night, I had it on repeat. It became the perfect background music as I was hysterical crying remembering how close we once were. Anyway.

Speaking of Christie, anyone know of any good philosophy books? I plan on getting one for her for Christmas since it is right up her alley. I also need to go out and buy her a CD for her birthday. She gave me a list and it's hysterical. I cannot see myself buying an E-towne CD, honestly.

I need gift ideas for a few others, but no one is helping me. Shameful, shameful. I also need to finish writing out my cards since I think I only made like seven. I wrapped presents today. For the first time ever, they came out pretty. I got my brother the best gift ever. It was actually free, but it so perfect.

My mom keeps making fun of me because whenever "Happy Xmas" comes on the radio, I squeal and get all excited. It's John Lennon, for chrissake, and my favorite Holiday song. "You like the ODDEST THINGS!", she screams as I'm singing along with the children. It's funny, trust me.

I start work Tuesday. Yay. Moneymoneymoneymoneymoneymoney!!

So, my brother and I are devising a really neat plan once I graduate. He is stuck in a rut and quite unhappy where he is locationally and in life, in general, but we got a plan. Only a year and half, Lancifer, only a year and a half! He's so cool.

Yeah, so last night, I was home along and bored out of mind, as usual. I did, however, get Christie's letter finished, which came out really nice, learned all the lyrics to Under Pressure finally, watched Pretty Woman, The Wedding Singer, and What the Deaf Man Heard, half of Saturday Night Live because I fell asleep, and had my mom wake me up 1:30 in the morning asking who had called in the last 10 hours. I was not a happy camper.

La la.

Hi!
Everyone is at work, it seems. My entry in the work-force is long overdue. No, this will be settled.
(Mmm, girl scout cookies.)

I have this sad little obsession with the band, Queen. I've recently re-discovered my love for the song "Radio Ga-Ga". I'm now listening to Freddie go nuts singing it at Live Aid. My god, they are good!
(heh. Pat likes David Gray now.)

Whoa, I had my MP3 playlist on random and the last three songs were "Radio Ga-Ga", David Gray's "Late Night Radio", and Elvis Costello's "Radio, Radio." COINCIDENCE?! It's the little things, kids, the little things.

Hmm. Oooh, report cards came out today. That excites me because I'm a huge dork. I'm so proud of mine even though I didn't straight A's. Who wants to take bets against me? Who doesn't say that tomorrow the first thing I do is show my brother my BEAUTIFUL report card the second he walks in the door? Any takers? Damn.

Yeah, tomorrow. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. My uncle, aunt (I use that term loosely), my cousin, and grandmother (NELLIE!) usually swing by, but they've been banned from coming for the second straight year. It is rumored that they might come by on Saturday (please, no). My uncle and two cousins are swinging by on Friday which doesn't bother me. Annie invited me over for pie. She kills me. :-)

Wuzzely (8:10:09 PM): pie still on?
ABabyLuv16 (8:10:24 PM): yes pie is still on
Wuzzely (8:10:48 PM): glad to hear it
ABabyLuv16 (8:14:07 PM): see u tomorrow
Wuzzely (8:14:12 PM): Absolutely!
ABabyLuv16 (8:14:37 PM): would you like my address?
Wuzzely (8:14:47 PM): that would help :-)

We're so smart.

Cristina just called. She is such a cool kid (or man, as she would say). She has a plan and I play a major role in it. If anything, these allows me to have an assload of laughs from it at other's expenses, but if it works, the world will smile. Honestly. And I just spoke to Drici, oh what a cool kid she is. Last year would have been hell without her.

I am so cool.

Cristina calls my mom, "Mom", which is rather strange. Cristina is my new best friend, but she was my best friend last year in Spanish class. She sat behind me and translated what Flo said. Good kid. Plus, she visits me during the play backstage when she isn't on the stage. We dance to non-existant music and wonder why there are windows in the bathroom stalls and ponder why Stage Right smells as bad as it does. I think everyone should visit me during the play. If the door is open, just walk right in and kick me in the back of my head. If the door isn't open, knock and I'll literally lunge after it. Seriously.

I still need to do an assload of TV stuff. I'm interviewing my mom tomorrow. Now that should be quite interesting. I'm forcing her to talk really slow to take up lots of time, but she'll probably talk faster than usual. Also, she has started calling me "Puppy" which is not amusing at all.

I love when Jim Creeggan sings BNL songs; it makes me really, really, happy.

Alright, this was really dumb and pointless. Time to make some cards!

I should be at school right now. Notice, not in school because school ended at 2:30 and it is almost 3:30. I'm suppossed to be doing stage crew, but circumstances prevented me from going in a hygenic matter. I will go back however when my dad comes home from work, so I can help out a little.

so, my shindig was Monday night. I had fun. Apparently, others had fun as well which made me quite pleased. Another one may be held Thursday (which is tomorrow. I keep forgetting that!). YAY, we played Risk. Oh my, I am in love with my friends.

This whole election is great. I've been into it since they each (Gore and Bush) were announced as the Democratic and Republican candidates months ago. Wow, to say the least. I was/am pulling for Gore all the way. If Bush wins, which he probably will, my whole family might as well...uh, do something. I do know that that we will alll be hugely pissed. Wake up Florida!!

Hi.

LENNY! (there. He said he doesn't care what I have to say if his name isn't mentioned... or something like that.)

Hmm, I'm no longer liking this "Let's do nothing on Saturday's" deal. I'm game to do something right now. Anything. My mom is pissed at my dad (rightly so), so I'm stuck here by myself needing something to do. Sadly, no one is home or they are busy with homework. Which is what I was doing earlier. Yay, extra credit. My evil chemistry test that pretty much everyone did bad on is now an 82. I'll accept that anyday over what I originally received. Also, thanks to my lovely Algebra extra credit my average is now a B+. Praise the lord. I'm no longer in danger of getting any C's this marking period. Whew.

I made hotdogs earlier, that's been my highlight so far.

I only use AOL for e-mail and newsgroups/message boards, yet I'm downloading the new version. Someone tell me why? (only about 98 hours remaining!)

Pat let me borrow his copy of the Sims, I could play that to kill some time. But even that can get tiresome. Maybe I'll try and play that hockey game we got for free. That should be interesting. (I'm making myself fall asleep here).

Geez, no one updates their pages anymore! Now, there is nothing for me to do online. Sheesh.

I'm really, really, really tired. Aaaaaaand my beloved Emmy tapes have still not yet arrived. Please, if there is a God, let me them arrive tomorrow. Please Thanks.
Also, my arm hurts because I had lift 900000 pounds of wood yesterday.

First things first: MARK VALLEY (ex-Jack, Days) guest stars on the season premiere of NBC’s ER as Abby’s (MAURA TIERNEY) deadbeat ex-hubby. WOW! Ok, Mark Valley, well, everyone who reads this knows. Maura Tierney was Lisa on my beloved NewsRadio, so it's as if my life is just on big TV circle. I lvoe when that happens.

Also, I've been doing some strange stuff regarding toys. It is pathetic. It is sad. But it also needs to be done. I will rather not go into specifics, at this time, however.

Roger Howarth broke my heart on Friday.

School has been nice, I suppose. My chemistry teacher, who I mentioned previously, is now really, really nice to me. I think it has something to do with the fact the people in my class are really obnoxious and while most of the class is laughing at dumb jokes, I sit, ignore then, and occassionaly roll my eyes. I think he feels bad for me. He is always instiating conversations with me. Odd man.

I saw "Barenaked in America" yesterday. While, they did shoot parts of the documentary at a concert I was attending, I didn't make it in, but my car did! Seriously. Both my dad and I noticed. Yes, my 1996 Chevy Malibu made its film debut.

Isn't it funny that I only update this thing when my parents leave me at home all day? weird.

More later. Yay

wish I could tell you the way that I feel
but tonight is the night I fell asleep at the wheel

No commotion, no screaming brakes
most of it's over before I awake
from the ceiling my coffee cup drips
while out my window the horizon does flips
the worst part was hitting the ground
not the feeling so much as the sound
can't wonder if all this is real
cause tonight is the night I fell asleep at the wheel

rubber neck traffic and passers-by
a slow-motion walker
the fire engine guy
stand around with their mouths open wide
heard some idiot ask if someone's inside
with the jaws-of-life they tried and they tried
nobody here can know how I feel

I'm still undecided if I like being home alone for long periods of time. Right now I am alone and I'm having fun doing dumb dorky things while no one is around. Good times ;-)
I've been on a sugar rush for about 20 hours straight. That cannot be healthy.

I bought Barenaked Ladies's new CD, Maroon on Tuesday. It's really good (everyone go buy it), but this one song (track 6, I'm too lazy to learn song titles right now) sounds so much like a Prince song. Eww.

In really sad BNL's news: I went to dub a copy of BNL's PPV special for Pat and my VCR (my old one) ATE MY TAPE!!!!!! Oh, the cursing and jumping up on down that went on in my basement about 4 hours ago would have scared everyone if anyone had known it happened. I haven't had a tape eaten, thankfully, in years. Fucking crappy VCR.

I did however find a tape that I had been looking for a few months. Maybe I should label it this time

So, the job search as of tomorrow will be in full swing. I'm serious this time, too ;-)

I don't know when this became a soap blog, but, *soap nerdiness alert* : Apparently, Jensen Buchanan is going to be ATWT. All I can say is awwww.

Just to make this even more random and pointless: This new BNL album is seriously breaking my heart.

I try and tape "One Life to Live" (don't you love how I just pick and choose when I use quotes and what not ) at least thre times a week. Usually, when I know Todd(Roger Howarth) will be on and Friday's show. Yesterday, it being Friday and all, I set up the VCR to tape OLTL on ABC from 1:58pm to 3:01pm. Or so I left my house believing. Around 9:30 pm last night, I go into my room and start to rewind the tape. I soon learn that I did not tape ABC, I taped NBC!!! Which would have been great, oh 2 or 3 years ago when "Another World" was on and I'd watch daily, but now I have an episode of "Passions". Oh, geez, the disappoinment and total anger that I felt was overwhelming.

Oh, and "Nurse Betty" was pretty good, especially the last half. Hooray.

I'm making cupcakes tonight. Isn't my life exciting?
The Kool-aid I made yesterday came out really nasty per my brother. Great.

So, school is finally a week and one day old.
So far, everything has been really good if you disregard my Chemistry class. My teacher is very, very annoying and weird and dumb and EVIL! Fortunately, everyone who has him agrees with me. And I'm proud to say I did NOT fail my firsr ever Chemistry quiz. The highest grade in the class was an 80 (obviously, we're all brilliant ) and I got a 75. At least, I think. I cannot ever remember and it hasn't even been three hours. Whoa.

Since I'm bored and I have time to kill, I'll talk about all my classes
TV2--So far, a much better experience than TV1. We're watching Hoop Dreams, which I've never seen. Good stuff.
Current History--I really like my teacher and the class is good with the exception of all the odd sophomores in the class. They're not bad, they're just really unfamiliar and they all look the same.
AP History--better than I imagined. I don't have any friends in my class (they all have it first period), but I like it a lot. Good.
Algebra 2--Wow, I understand what I'm doing. A first! I wish I had my teacher for Algebra 1.
Gym--heh.
English--I really like my teacher here, too. He's a weird one, but in a very good way. It's been really great so far. Thankfully.

Ok, that was completely uninteresting.
I just made Kool-Aid (I've been in the mood for it since August) and now I have red dye all over my hands. Aaaand, it will not come off no matter how hard I scrub. Speaking of which, I had chocolate ice cream before and didn't realize it until it set, that I had a big chocolate stain on my jeans. It took about 10 minutes of scrubbing with soap and water (while I kept the pants on, mind you) to get it off, but it's gone! hoooooray!

I'm going to the movies tonight with my brother. See, my parents are going to Atlantic City to see Alabama in concert and I hate being alone for more than like 7 hours (I get bored easily and I wind up talking to myself because I can't make dumb comments to anyone else), so he's coming up. We're seeing Nurse Betty. It was either that or Almost Famous. And Almost Famous is not playing in every theatre in the area unlike Nurse Betty. Plus, it's soap opera related. ;-)

Speaking of which, my admiration for Roger Howarth grows everyday. He's the only reason to keep up with One Life to Live now that school's in session. It's times like these (meaning the lack of really good plots in soaps) that make me miss Another World. Not that AW always had the greatest storylines, far from it (Toni's Rape? Fairfax/Bay City Stalker? Anyone?), but at least it was always fun to watch.

That thunderstorm last night was NOT fun. I'm afraid of being hit by lightning. I know, what an odd fear, especially since I'm in my house. And this whole fear only started about a year ago. It never bothered me. When I was little, I would get all excited when thunderstorms were brewing. The lightning was right outside my window and there was this one thing (great word) of thunder that literally shook my entire street. But that's over with. Now it's really nice outside. So much so I wish I could walk somewhere to enjoy it.

So, I got a new computer and it is fucking amazing!!!!! I am so impressed with this thing. It's huge, but I love it. YAY for my dad for buying it for me! woohoo! I really, really, love it. Everyone can come over and play with it. Honest.
School starts in two days. That's not cool at all.
Party at my house in two weeks, right? ;-) It seems like there is a part every night in front of my house with the drunk 18 year olds. Why do the need to hang out in front of my house? Because they are more parking spaces? Please, take a walk about 2 inches and you're nowhere near my property. Ack, all they do is scream and open and close car doors. It's really annoying.

I'm expecting 11 tapes in the mail. They better come tomorrow. Please!

posted by Mindy Venta 9/5/2000 10:40:43 PM

Today was cool. Granted, it is only 5:00 pm, but I had fun. I didn't go to my brother's today (big shocker there, I know ), but Christie baby-sits the brats across the street from me. (Christie lives down the block). So, around noon I got dressed and went outside or planned to go outside and hang out while she baby-sat. Greyson was outside with her, so I pretended that I had to mail a letter and Christie called me over. I spent the next 3 hours hanging out with her. Nice time. ;-)

(I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. I will not be upset that I wasn't invited. DAMMIT! I'm upset!)

My parents left to go return stuff and I'm getting Chinese food for dinner which I haven't had since like March, so that is exciting. School is one week and I'm pretty indifferent about it. I'm looking forward to it more than the less two years, that's for sure. Freshman year is was all baout "high school! aaah" and being nervous. Sophomore year was nice, but it was just freshman year with the ability to make fun of the new freshman which was a plus. This year though, I hope, will be better. Geez, I'm a Junior. How wrong is that? My first three classes are the ones I'm least looking forward to (TV2. Current History/Myst. In Lit, and AP History). TV2 because it is TV1 just with less friends. I can't believe I have TV first period AGAIN! Current History because Juniors and Seniors are suppossed to take Social Issues (they are basically the same class), but I wanted Mysteries in Literature and Film more than Mythology which was the only class open. If I had taken Social Issues I would be in the same class as Jason and Christie. Damn. AP History is not going to be fun because I was moved out the period when all my friends (basically everyone I know taking APUSH) into a period where I know no one.

On the good side, I have a nice English class and Christie is in my Algebra class. Now THAT should be interesting. Too bad the Malara's didn't move to the high school to teach math.

People born in 1986 should not be freshman.

(I will not be upset that I wasn't invited.)

It's funny how I can't plan out what to do in the next few hours or what I need to get accompolished this week, but I already have plans for things months ahead of time. For example: I already know how much money I want saved by January, what I'm gettinmg or doing for three people's birthdays (all of which are in December), I wrote Christie a letter that I'm giving to her the day she graduates (or her 18th birthday, which is still months away), what I want for Christmas and my birthday, and I've known what my apartment is going to look like in the inside since I was 7. Of course, these things might (and probably will) change when they arrive, but I still have some sort of plan.

(Steve Burton came back to me today. yay)

I just think it is weird that's all. On semi-related note, I'm going to hang out at my brother's apartment on Wednesday. This should be interesting. Hey, I'm getting free CDs out of the deal per Napster and CD burners.

Ah, Christina just IMed me. I missed her (ok, she's online just as much as I am. I've just been a lousy friend). She's graduating this year, too. She's one of two people of the class of 2001 that I actually care about and will miss when they go away. Damn.

To make this blog make absolutely less sense than it already has: there is this one friend of mine who should just keep his/her mouth shut because they make even less sense than I do and have really harsh opinions and make me feel really uneasy when they aren't insulting me.

I'm looking for a job. I got applications for a few places. One of them being Zany Brainy, dear god help me. I still need working papers and a physical. Of course, I can only work like two days a week: Friday nights and Saturday or Sunday. I'm not going to work during the week for a few reasons mainly because of schoolwork and I'll be dead tired. As much as I need the money, I'm not going to work both days of the weekend. I need a day off. So, I want a job that will allow me to work after school on Friday and morning/afternoon on Saturday. I want to keep Saturday night free in case of concerts and the such. Oh, what a sad life I lead.

I was speaking with someone earlier about this. They couldn't understand my obsession with money. Ever since I started getting money, I've been always saving for something. When I was seven/eight, I saved up for my bed. Yes, that's right, I bought my own bed. It wasn't like my parents were denying me a bed, they were going to get me one eventually. Let me clarify: I had a perfectly good bed. I just wanted a day bed at that time. Pressing forward, they just wanted to see if I could save the money and I did and I bought myself the bed. Every year after that, it was I'm going to buy a TV. Numerous times I had enough money to buy one, but my parents didn't let me. Anyway, I also have this thing where I'm very cautious at what I buy. I'm always looking at pricetags and looking for only sale items. This comes from my dad not having a job for like four years during my formative years. Therefore, there was no income coming into my home. My brother and I are still getting over the fact that times aren't as bad as they were when he was in middle school/high school and I was in elementary/middle school. I've always felt bad about asking my parents for things especially for things that I don't need like CDs and going to the movies. I pay for everything whether it be the mentioned CDs or movie tickets or concert tickets of the round of bowling. That's why I was so antisocial in middle school--I felt I shouldn't hang out with my friends if it meant having to ask my mom for 15 dollars that could easily be spent on more important items.

That's why I need a job. I don't want to worry about having no money if it means I want to buy a new CD or getting nice pants or a mini-recorder (which I need!). Plus, I want a car which will ultimately come from my grandfather (I hope) like he promised me when I was eight. It'll be really nice to have the "money weight" lifted off my shoulder once I get a steady income going. Even if it's only like 20 bucks a week. That's 20 more dollars that I didn't have the week before...

Let's talk about etiquette shall we?
I had a really nice birthday party last month (thanks for coming, guys!) and I was really shocked and taken aback by the generosity and genuine kindess that many of my friends had been hiding. Hell, I even got emotional when the guests went home. That night, I wanted everyone to know how much the simple act of coming over to my house meant to me, so I wrote a quick e-mail thanking them. Now, I'm not saying everyone should do this. However, I'm saying that it is a nice guesture to do.

It is common courtesy to write thank you notes, right? Right. I spent the next few days writing 20something thank you notes, finding addresses, mailing letters, and finding even more addresses. Again, maybe a little extreme, but this what I was taught. Now, I'm not going to mention any names, but I think it is rude to buy a nice gift, buy a dress (damn formal parties), and show up and pretend to have a nice time and not get a single "Hey, thanks!" whether in writing or verbally. Especially since so much time has lapsed and that person hasn't even talked to me since.

Wuzzely: yup, yup. that's why it is "a throw back to the good ole days" hehe

Is there one person that has ever had contact with me that doesn't know about Mark? :-) If he only knew how big he was in Sayreville...

oooh, while I was at the show, my parents to a book store and my mom bought me "Guiding Light: The Complete Family Album" for like 6 bucks. Wow, I'm going to have a lot of winter reading to do. Yay!

Yeah, that was pretty exciting.

Guster was amazing. Really good. I must see them again real soon. (I also must learn to speak English, geez)

Reason #172 to move to Boston: Guster is actually *played* on the radio!!
Reason # 238 to move to Boston:Guster in concert in the area! wahooo.

damn it. I had a whole nice blog, but it didn't post. dammit!

A brief synopsis of what the late blog said: Tulsi's party was nice; Indian food is not my cup of tea; I hate not getting mail; Jen and I need to go bowling; I'm a great bargain shopper when it comes down to it; I own nice dresses; Guster+concert+central park=exciting; cookies are great; Indian restaurants should be notified of heat.

the mailman is here already! yay1 Yay! I love when he comes at a decent time!
(The sad thing is I'm really legitimately glad about my mailman's early-afternoon appearance)

There was a nice Guster photo in today's Star Ledger. That made me glad, but the Village Voice had the same photo 3x the size. woo.
There is no point to be posting this, but what the hell.

so. happy friday all. Tonight is Tulsi's party, that should be interesting.

Around 5:00 this morning, I was sleeping and dreaming (which usually comes hand-in-hand) about me watching the Daytime Emmys (which I do every day because I'm big fat loser) and in my dream I was arguing with myself "This is the 24th Annual..." "No! It's the 25th!" at which point I woke myself up and after trying to see what time it was (I'm blind) all I could mutter up was "This stops insane". Yes, that makes no sense which is why I started laughing hysterically. Then I heard my dad get up to take a shower and get ready for work, so the giggling had to end but for the next 15 minutes or so I tried to decipher what the hell I was trying to say. No such luck many hours later.

I finally got out of bed at 11:52 which is insanely late for me and I don't like it one bit. When I went downstairs to eat breakfast, I put the radio on to what I thought was WPLJ (95.5), but it turned out it was Z95 (95.?). I was confused to why the Retro-Request hour was playing Guns 'N Roses...

Anyone know why my last blog was posted twice and I why I have no intention of fixing it? Anyone?

I was reading the Another World: 35h Anniversary book (I got it a few months ago. I don't know why I waited a year after it was first published, but I'm finally sitting down and reading it rather than skimming and looking and the pretty pictures) and I was up to Jake's shooting when the word "brouhaha" was used. I nearly died laughing. I've never seen that word in print before. It was quite amusing and now I'm trying to use that word every chance I get.

I *finally* heard Barenaked Ladies' new single, "Pinch Me" on the radio. I've listened to it before thanks to Napster and all and saw the video premiere on VH1 yesterday, but I needed to hear it on the radio. I can't wait until "Maroon" comes out on September 12th. They're on Conan the same day. My mom and brother have tried to persuade me to try and get tickets that day, and I would love to under any other circumstances, but that is like my third day of school. I'm such a dork. Really!

Oh, and Guster is BNL's opening act for the most of their fall tour. They end the day before BNL comes to Philly the closest stop to my home. Of course, that would be the case. My two favorite bands at one venue and that venue is everywhere but close to my home. Well, I'm still going to see BNL when they swing by (my 4th time seeing them in concert. Hotcha!) and I'm seeing Guster (with Pat) on Saturday, so I'll make do. :-)

Re: The Mail-- didn't get a single thing. Well, that is not surprising.

I just finished making cookies. They could have come out better, but they aren't that bad. The food shortage is my house is alarming. I've rediscovered my love for apple juice which I'm drinking right now. Mmmm, good stuff. Christie and I used to drink it all the time while eating soup and watching soap operas together in our pajamas in the middle of the day in the middle of August. Then we would refill our glasses (which were always huge. I swear, she has the biggest glasses and cups in the world) and go online for an hour or two. Good times, good times.

I wish the mail would come with lots of goodies for me. Like my headphones that Koss said they would replace, a letter from Hannah, lots of catalogs, and other fine suprises. But that won't happen.

Also, aren't these colors just disgusting? :-)

I've hungry. Oh so hungry.

If my mother comes to ask what kind of paper to wrap Tulsi's gift in, I will hurt someone.

from the same issue of Soap Opera Digest:
"...Mark Valley (ex-Jack, Days of Our Lives) will not be coming to One Life to Live as Colin's brother, Caleb--because, as the show notes, "There is not truth to the rumor" that another MacIver is joining the cast..."

I never heard of this rumor before, but now I want this to be true. So very true. How fucking great would that be?! For those of your who aren't in the know, Mark Valley is the coolest guy in the world (most of you probably know why) and OLTL is my current favorite show (even if this Nora business is taking too damn long). The two combined would just throw me off the edge. Imagine Roger Howarth and Mark Valley in the same scene. Oh, geez! I think I would die. Damn it! Why can't it be true?

Just to let you know. This page will be made pretty soon. Really.

according to Soap Opera Digest:
"A big Bronx cheer to Jason Biggs (ex-Pete, As the World Turns). Biggs recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote his new film Loser .His interview gave him the chance to laugh at soap opera fans...saying that they're all middle-aged housewives and prisoners. A clip of him from ATWT was then shown, and he made fun of soap acting! Thanks for perpetuating stereotypes, Mr. Biggs--against the very people (housewives, prisoners and all the other types of fans) who helped get you to the lofty place where you could make fun of them"

Alright, so I actually saw this appearance. I can't remember why I was watching Leno (as a rule, I don't watch his show because I find him one of the least-funny people on the face of this Earth and a terrible interviewer. Not to mention, Kevin Eubanks is INCREDIBLY annoying), but I figured I'd watch Jason since he was his next guest and all. I was sketchy about his soap past. I knew he was on a soap, I just couldn't tell you when or what show. Anyway, I did think what he (and Leno!) had to say weren't very flattering to soap opera actors or soap fans. Especially since Mr. Biggs not only was nominated for a Soap Opera Award (either 1994 or 1995) and a Daytime Emmy Award (1995) for Younger Leading Actor! I don't know where else Jason would be so welcomed and ever have the chance to be honored in such a way. Obviously, he has little respect for the genre and medium that *I* respect so much. So much so that I find I have little respect for him.

In my head, I had a clear and concise and coherent thoughts on ths subject. But, apparently, they have gone away. Oh well. Not like anyone cares...

so, this is finally up and pretty. I can't remember my old username and password and decided a new one would just be easier.
