7 unimportant things i've noticed thus far into the day that i think you should know: - all six of my teachers this semester are male.
- my classmate was wearing an orange cap that said, "WHURD" on it.
- one of my teachers wears a fanny pack and black jeans everyday.
- while i was waiting for a computer, some guy said to a girl, "i like your socks."
- all of my math teachers in college (except for one) have been going bald.
- when i was in an elevator, a lady told me that i have long hair. i never knew.
- everyday at the end of my econ class, the teacher says, "try to stay out of jail until next time." it was funny the first time.
i am so bored. i can't think of anything else to say. goodbye.

sometimes i hate being anti-social. take today as an example. in my accounting class, we have to form groups of 4 or 5 people that we are going to play monopoly with for the rest of the semester. i didn't talk to anyone about joining their group. i wish the teacher would just pick the groups for us. or better yet, i wish we wouldn't have to form groups at all. haha! do i sound like a snob? it's not like i'm a complete mute that doesn't talk to anyone. i'm not. i just get shy sometimes and i'd rather not have to deal with other people when getting my assignments done. but whatever. we'll see what happens.

song that i can never seem to get enough of: madonna - border line

you know, no matter how hard i try to pretend that tuesday's events never occured, in the end i just keep reminding myself that it wasn't just a bad dream. each time i come to that realization, it hits me just as hard as it did the first time. i am so sad. i wish we could just turn back time and do something that would prevent the attacks from taking place. but there's nothing we can do about it. i was just over at toni's blog. go read her entry for saturday the 15th because it's really powerful. reading it got me all sad again, but she brings up a very good point that i think a lot of us are forgetting. everything happens for a reason. whatever that reason is, we are yet to know. but for now, we should thank God for all our blessings. right now, rianne is playing some media files that she got from kiis fm. go here and listen to "only time" and "stuck in a moment". they're montages that include excerpts from the news and stuff. they make me want to cry. listening to them brings back all the feelings that i experienced on tuesday. but you know what, it's okay to feel sad. as hard as we try to move on with life, we're all going to be stuck in this moment for a very long time. but as long as God is by our side, we're going to be okay.

my mom got these shirts for us while she and my dad were in new york last month. you like? well, i didn't do much today. i stayed home all day, actually. i woke up at like 12:30. i'd be done with school already if it was a school day! eek. my cousins came over for a while to drop off some pictures. i'm going to start scanning them as soon as i'm done blogging.
for dinner, i was eating leftovers from the chinese food restaurant i went to yesterday. it's a good thing that i'm picky about what i eat. otherwise, i would've eaten something i definitely wouldn't want to. as i was inspecting my piece of chicken, i noticed a little black dot on it. the reason i was checking it is because i hate eating stuff like veins and junk. everyone gets mad at me all the time when i eat chicken wings because i don't eat all the gross stuff next to the bones. strictly meat is the way to go. so anyway, as i held the piece of chicken right up to my face, i noticed that there was a BUG on it! eewwwwww. that's so gross. i dumped the rest of the food down the drain. eating bugs = really disgusting.
later during the night, my sisters and i decided that it would be interesting to have a contest to see who was the strongest. we put the scale in front of us and took turns putting pressure on it with one hand to see whose would weigh the most. surprisingly, i won with a grand total of 36 pounds. haha. we got a kick out of that because they always think i'm such a weakling. i'm strong. you better believe it! jk. that was really lame.
hmm, that's all i can think of blogging right now. i've been so bored because anthony is still in corona and we didn't get to chill or talk all night. oh well. see ya later guys.

just so you know, i didn't want to seem insensitive earlier by blogging about what went on during my day. i've been kind of hesitant to blog at all lately because there are far more important things going on right now. although i didn't attend any vigils tonight, i lit a candle in remembrance of all those who were killed in nyc and washington. my prayers, along with the prayers of millions of other americans across the country, are with all the victims and their families. i know that God will hear our prayers, and He will guide us through this.

dude, on WWF smackdown, they're doing a tribute to all those affected by tuesday's terrorist attacks. it started out with vince mc mahon giving a speech, and then all the WWF superstars came out. next, the lady (sorry, dunno her name), who introduces everyone into the ring before the matches, sang the national anthem. boy, i could not help but cry. even she was in tears by the time she was done singing. God bless America!

this is so funny: "A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument." hahaha. i'm here in the computer lab laughing my ass off at the validity of that statement. (=

here's something i got in an email: TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES, America: The Good Neighbor.
Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record:
"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.
Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States.
When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.
When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped.
The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans.
I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes?
Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon - not once, but several times and safely home again.
You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.
When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.
I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.
Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."
Stand proud, America!

last night, my sisters, priscilla and i went to chuck-e-cheese for anthony's little sister's birthday. grace is now 4 years old. we got there at around 7:30, but the workers told us that they were going to be closing at 8:00. we ended up staying a little bit after 8:00, though. i had a pretty good time. it helped to get our minds cleared for a while. but, once we got back home the stress and sadness took over again. i had lots of homework to do last night, but i really couldn't concentrate on anything. everytime i think about all the innocent people whose lives were stolen, i can't help but feel an incredible amount of sadness. i keep crying. i'm am so sorry to all of you out there who have lost a loved one. i can't imagine what you're going through right now. but it's comforting to know that they are in God's hands now. they are now free from the evils of this world. have faith that He is taking care of them.
today at school, most of the teachers just tried to go on with class normally. classes were okay today. anthony and i went to his house after school, and then i came home around 6:00. i played with priscilla until 7:45.. and now i'm just trying clear my head again. that's all for now. bye bye.

Almighty and everliving God, creator and ruler of the universe, by whose only-begotten Son, the Prince of Peace, all wounds are healed and sins are forgiven, in mercy and kindness hear the prayers we pour forth in this time of great need. We ask you, O God, to show mercy to those who have died and give solace to the mourning. Strengthen and protect all who are laboring in the defense and safety of the innocent. Guide and inspire those who toil to help and bring aid to the injured. Through the help of our angel guardians and the workings of the Holy Spirit instill in the hearts of us all, made to act as your images, the confidence and calm that only comes from you. We beg you, Father of us humble children, to grant us the gifts of humility and reason. Forgive us our sins. Give us the grace to forgive those who have harmed us. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ your Son who, together with you and Holy Spirit, lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen. Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory be... --got this prayer from Catholic.org

this is getting passed around on aol:"the flights that were Highjacked were from United and AA, they were numbered as follows: 11, 93, 175, and 77 11 = Today's Date 9+3 = 12 = Tomorrow 1+7+5 = 13 = Thursday 7+7 = 14 = Friday Hopefully this is a coincidence and the terrorists can't add. but if this is correct there will either be acts of terrorism every day for the next few days or a grand event the last day. pass it around" and i got this from fiona's site: "In the City of God there will be a great thunder, two brothers torn apart by chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the big city is burning on the 11th day of the 9th month that...two metalbirds would crash into two tall statues in the new city and the world will end soon after." - The Book of Nostradamus.
cause karen leslie said so @ 10:27 PM
i know that, by now, all of you know about the terrorist attacks on the east coast. i'm not writing this to inform anyone about it, i'm writing it so that one day in the future, i can look back and see how i felt. i first heard about it at about 7:00 AM when i got out of the shower. my little sister told me about it, so i turned on the radio to hear about what happened. i found out that two planes crashed into each of the Twin Towers in new york. it seemed so unreal to me. i went downstairs after changing, and my mom and two sisters were watching the news. at about 7:25, i watched the second tower collapse. me and anthony went to our first class, and the teacher in there apologized for not being able to lecture today. he said that the "world is never going to be the same." after that, we went over to the lunch area to watch the news. when we got there, only about 1/4 of the place was full. when we left, the place was completely packed. everyone at school seemed to be strongly impacted by it.
our second class presumed as normal, though i didn't seem to be able to concentrate on the lecture. i had plans to wait in the library while i waited for anthony to finish his last class, but as i was walking toward the library, hella people were everywhere. there were hundreds of people coming out of buildings. i was wondering to myself, "are they all just going to class?" haha.. but when i realized how stupid that was, i asked some girl if they closed the library down. she said yes.. and then people all over were shouting out that the campus was closed. i could hear professors telling the students to go home. girls around me were saying, "this is so scary." i went into anthony's lecture hall to tell him that we should go home. some girl sitting near him asked me how i knew the campus was closed, and i just told her that everyone outside was leaving.
on the way to our car, there were soooooo many people walking. that's the busiest i've ever seen my school. getting out of the parking lot took a lot longer than usual as well. anthony pointed something out, though. it was so cool that everyone seemed to be united as one. there weren't any people honking at each other or getting mad at other drivers. the students seemed to be equally concerned.
all of this is really hitting me hard. i can't believe that i'm living through this. i've been listening to the radio and watching tv at every chance i get. i'm deeply saddened by all the deaths that were caused. i really can't believe it all. this is the kind of thing that only happens in movies. it's the kind of thing that you would NEVER expect to happen in our country. all kinds of thoughts keep going through my mind. i feel like crying. i'm scared for my cousins that are in the military. i'm scared about everything.
right now, all of los angeles has declared a state of emergency. i feel selfish because i know that if this were to happen in another country, i wouldn't feel the same way that i do right now. although i already know that this is going to have a great affect on all of our lives, i hope that its seriousness doesn't get any bigger. this is such a tragedy. my heart goes out to all the victims. let's all pray that the terrorism ends soon, and that those behind it all get what they deserve.
