I believe in angels...
I also believe that every
day is an opportunity to learn something new about ourselves and about
life in general. I also believe that every day brings a new blessing but
only if we are open enough to find them. I hope you enjoy sharing my little
blessings day by day.

Isn't it amazing how no matter how many kids we know/meet/see our children are the smartest, cutest, funniest, most adorable children in the world?

I spoke too soon! Had to bring the snowpants and boots back out.......we had snow on Sunday. The snow is pretty much gone but it of course left icky slush everywhere. Blah...

Lesson of the day: Keep styrofoam away from cats and children under the age of three. My house looks like it exploded with little itty bitty shredded pieces. What a mess....and it of course sticks to everything.

I think......((I'm not holding my breath!))...... but I do think that I just might be able to put away winter boots, snow pants, mittens and hats! Yeah! I think I'm going to celebrate with a glass of lemonade! :-)

Wishing you all a very Happy Easter!! Please give your little ones an extra great big hug today. I have always realized how blessed I am to have three wonderful healthy children. But the funeral yesterday really brought that home. My heart goes out to Tony and Sara and their entire family today.....there are no words to fix it or make it better. I just want you all to know that you are in my heart.

Although I have already emailed most of you who have been praying for Andrew, it is with great sadness that I have to post that little Andrew passed away on Tuesday, April 10th. On behalf of Andrew's family I would like to thank all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Jennifer (my stepsister) has printed all of your emails and has passed them on to Andrew's mom and dad. Thank you again. The funeral is being held tomorrow so once again please keep Andrew's family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through such a difficult day. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of the kind and comforting words you have passed on. Regardless of how you pray.....or who you pray to.....your faith and your strength is a blessing to those who have needed comfort.

Thank you to everyone who is praying for baby Andrew. I haven't heard of any changes but I will keep you posted here. Adam is my stepsister's nephew (on her husbands side). He was born April 4th at 7:56pm. He weighed 7lbs, 8oz and was full term. Everything was going fine until they had to do an emergency C-Section and Andrew was delivered without a heart beat. They did CPR for 18 minutes and were about to give up when he finally got a heartbeat. He is now on a ventilator in the ICU and breathing mostly on his own. Right now the biggest concern is of course how much damage was done during the 18 minutes when he was not breathing. Please keep Andrew, his parents and two sisters and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Lesson of the Day: Don't drink too much Jack & Coke when you are drinking with your mom. You could end up confessing way more than she ever wanted to know. Right mom? hehe

What a strange but wonderful day yesterday was! My sister called me for the first time in almost a year. I have no exact reason why we stopped talking except for we are both stubborn and refuse to give in. I couldn't stop crying when I heard her voice. I hate not having her in my life and I am so thankful that she called and that no matter how much we are mad at each other all it takes is that one call and everything is fine. Maria, I love you very much! I am so happy to have you in back in my life....... let's not be so stupid again.... ok? :-)

I feel horrible! Danielle was watching tv this morning instead of getting ready like she was supposed to and she got in trouble. As soon as I got mad she said her stomach hurt. I didn't believe her because I assumed she was just trying to make me feel bad for yelling at her. But she insisted she was sick so I told her that if she stood home from school she couldn't go to the school skating party tonight. She said it was ok because she didn't feel good. I STILL had my doubts as to how sick she was so I told her that if she stood home she wouldn't be allowed to watch any cartoons all day. She said ok. So Brittany goes off to school and 10 minutes later Danielle is calling me. I go into the bathroom to find her throwing up into the toilet. Poor thing. She said, "See Mommy, I really was sick." Guess where she's at now? Tucked into the couch watching cartoons. I feel like such a mean Mommy.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent Saturday with Danielle's Brownie troop on an all day outing. It was so much fun. We went to a school of science where they participated in many different science experiments. There were many different troops there and quite a bit of girls. They learned how to make "curds and whey" (very gross), drew pictures with invisible ink, went through a biology lab with a whole lot of cool and gross stuff to see ( jars of jelly fish that were still poisonous to the touch even though they are dead) and touch (real human bones). They also had a computer lab where they were able to learn the different "layers" of the human body as each one peeled away at the click of a mouse. There were a few other labs which were so fun I don't think they realized they were learning so much! They also had a chance to go swimming. Everything was well organized and fun.....with one exception. We were teamed up with another troop. We had 14 girls between the ages of 6 and 9, we had three adults to keep them all together from one event to the next. The troop we were teamed up with had 5 girls and two adults. Our girls were EXTREMELY well behaved, they stood in straight lines when we were waiting to start the next project (okay, so we had one pushing incident but it didn't last long believe me! lol) The other troop was also well behaved......it was the leaders who were lacking. They had one little girl who was constantly being left behind. The troop leaders took the four older girls to the pool and left the little one behind in the locker room. She had no clue where to go. I took her out to the pool and her leaders didn't even notice she had been missing. Again and again throughout the day she was being left behind and left out of activities because her leaders were too busy talking to notice that the other girls in her troop were leaving her out. So we of course just "adopted" her into our troop. I was constantly making sure she was still with us up until the last event where her troop leaders walked away from her even though she didn't have a partner for the last project. The girls had to work in pairs so the woman who co-leads with me became her partner so that she could do the project. The other troop leaders talked through the whole project, at this point myself and the other adults with our troop were extremely annoyed. Since that was our last session I started rounding up the girls who needed the restroom before the hour long drive home and this little girl who should have been with her troop leaders came up to me to tell me she needed the restroom. I explained that she would have to have her troop leaders take her. So we finally round all of our troop up, get coats on and stand in line to get their snacks before we left. Because it was a long line one of the adults with me went to get a drink. While she was gone I hear a little voice say "Where is my troop leader" I look down and there is that same little girl all alone once again. I look around for anyone in her troop and to my dismay I can't find anyone. I have her stand next to me as I organize my small troop into a line, when the other adult from my troop comes back I tell her that this little girl can't find her troop leader. She takes the little girl out side thinking that surely her troop is right outside looking for her........ nope........ so she takes her upstairs to see if they were in the room where we had left our coats......nope...so they come back downstairs thinking that surely her troop leaders were looking for her by then. At this point fifteen minutes had passed and two grown women who only had a group of five girls didn't notice that one was missing. We finally had to leave her with the women in charge of organizing the event because we had a long drive home and parents waiting to pick up their daughters. My heart broke as I watched the little girls sad face as we walked out the door, I have never felt so angry at two women before. If there is a lesson in this experience I still haven't seen it, all I see is the sad eyes of a little girl as she watched us walk out the door.

Lesson of the day: When you lead a group of Brownie Girl Scouts who are going to be using paint.......don't wear any thing with long sleeves.....or for that matter anything that you really like! lol We had a great meeting yesterday, the girls did face painting (they even got the principal....poor guy), they painted hats and they made face masks. It was a lot of fun....but very messy! hehe

I talked to a friend on the phone last night. If you are reading this you know who you are. I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish there was more I could do to help but I just want you to know I am here for you. I wish I could take away your pain and fix all your problems. I wish I was somehow closer so that I could be there for you with more than a phone call. I wish I knew why life sometimes gives us problems that sometimes feel like there is no solution to. Please just have faith that you are not alone and that with the help of God, your family and your friends you will get though this. Please don't wait so long to call next time.

Grocery shopping was never so much fun! It is usually a task I hate doing which is why I usually put it off until there is no food left in my house! hehe But last night was fun for some strange reason. We all went together and even the kids were in a good mood which was suprising since it was 9:00 pm. They were playing oldies music which would explain Marshall's good mood hehe. He entertained us by singing.....well except for Anthony who plugged his ears. He doesn't like his Daddy's singing! And as I tried to find a cereal that was on sale and not complete junk, Marshall grabbed my arm and started dancing. I'm sure we looked awfully silly but people were smiling and you know it felt good to just be in that store with my family with the biggest problem being what kind of yogurt we could agree on. This will always be a memory I hold dear in my heart. And the next time I am complaining about going grocery shopping I will remember the night we danced in the cereal aisle. :-)

It was wonderful and I am looking forward to going out soon. :-)
