Wrote this on Monday:
I had a good weekend. I went to see Coyote Ugly on Friday with my friend. I was afraid it would be a guy movie with all the pretty girls in it, but it had a nice love storyline too. I liked it. On Saturday I didn't do much. Just hung around my apartment and rested. Sunday, I met my mom at an outlet mall in PA. It was about 50 miles from her and about 80 from me, so it wasn't a bad trip for either of us. I bought a new watch and a few shirts for work. It was fun.:
I'm in lots of pain today. I have tendonitis in the rotator cuff of both of my shoulders. It's all inflamed, so my left shoulder is killing me. It hurts to move it at all. The last doctor I saw about it gave me a prescription for Naproxin with 4 refills, so I refilled it on Friday, but it isn't helping yet. I just took an Aleve to bump up the Naproxin a little. It's all the same stuff, so an extra 220mg won't kill me. It doesn't seem to be doing much for me either though. I'm going to get a sling tonight to see if that'll help at all.:
I did a stupid thing last night and called Keith. I told myself that he was going to have to make the next contact, but I was just missing him really bad and wanted to talk to him. It was just friendly conversation with him very obviously sidestepping the issue of his girlfriend. He doesn't mention her when we talk which I appreciate, but it's so obvious that we're avoiding talking about her that it makes things uncomfortable. I don't think I'm going to call him again because it's just weird now when we used to be able to talk so easily.:
The guy I referred to my company started today. He worked at my old company and I stole him away. Our referral policy here is wonderful. We get $2 for every hour our referral works for the entire time they're with the company. I should start getting my "Todd money" on my next paycheck. Woo hoo!

I am falling apart at the age of 25! I feel like someone beat me. My right hip is killing me and the tendonitis in my left arm is flaring up. I've had the tendonitis for a long time, but I don't know what's wrong with my hip. I hope the tendonitis doesn't get too bad. It lasts for weeks when it does. The last time I had a problem with it was back in March/April. It hurt for a solid month. I finally went to the doctor and got my prescriptions refilled because I was spending a fortune on Advil. They prescribe 800mg Ibuprofin tablets for me which is the equivalent of 4 Advil. I take it 3 times per day when I have it. 3 pills per day is better than 12 and a lot cheaper too! Advil costs a fortune, but these super-ibuprofins only cost $5 with my prescription plan.
I'm sitting here listening to my *NSync CD. They're such a guilty pleasure for me. It's embarrasing to me that I like the latest teeny-bopper group, but I just love their music for some reason. I don't even listen to pop music. They're the only non-country group that I listen to. Who knows!
Tomorrow is my flex day off, so today is like a Friday for me. I work 9 hour days and then I get to take every other Friday off. I'm not doing anything spectacular, but I still love my 3 day weekends.
My mom called last night with the latest news on my truck. I'm trying to buy out the lease on my Pathfinder. I have never had a car loan before (I bought my last car, but it was actually in my dad's name and I was just making the payments). Now that I'm 25, I want to transfer the car and insurance over into my name to make it easier. I've been dealing with this hassle for weeks now. They didn't want to give the loan to just me because my credit card debt is too high plus I've never had a loan this big before. My dad co-signed for me and now it has been approved, but they want me to pay $1,400 now which will be tough. I did some 'creative accounting' last night and managed to come up with it, but if I have to pay it things will be really tight for the next couple of weeks. My dad is calling them back to see if they can finance it through NMAC (Nissan). I wanted to do this on my own, but car dealers won't take a single 25 year old girl who comes in alone seriously. My dad finally had to get involved to get them to deal with me. They call him and tell him the status instead of me. That kind of pisses me off, but at least something is getting done.

Ok, I'm a huge fan of the show, 'Survivor', and I must say that I was completely blown away by tonight's episode! I am so completely gullible that I believed all of the rumors surrounding Gervase and the 'X' theory. I completely loved it that they had me snowed. I love being surprised when I'm not expecting it. It's much more exciting now that I don't know who wins. I had convinced myself that Gervase won, so now all bets are off. Go Rudy!

Ok, I'm not so weepy today. I don't know why it hit me so hard yesterday, but I'm ok now. I went to the comedy club with my friends last night and that cheered me up a lot. I was supposed to meet them at 7:30pm. I showed up at 7:30pm on the dot and they were nowhere to be found. They finally showed up at 7:55pm (the show started at 8:00pm). I was beginning to panic that they weren't coming. I'm chronically on time......I always have been and I've noticed that most people aren't. I'm always the one standing around waiting for everyone else to show up.
I am taking part in a month-long scavenger hunt for the Akron community celebration. I just got the list today and I'm excited. This is going to be lots of fun. I've never been in a scavenger hunt this long before. We have a full month and there are 100 items to get. I've gotten quite a few of the questions answered from the Internet so far. I'm going to go after work to see how many I can scrounge up.
I got a nice surprise at work this morning. The project that I'm on is approaching its implementation date for the system that we're working on. The boss gave us all $50 worth of gift certificates for TGI Friday's as a thank you for our hard work. I am going to take my friend and her husband out to eat since they made such a nice dinner for me last week. We're going to go sometime next week.
It's such a beautiful day outside. They say it is supposed to start thunderstorming any minute though. I don't see how when it's so pretty, but I'm no meteorologist. Back to work!!!

How is it possible that 5 years after Keith and I broke up, I'm still not over him?? We dated in college for a year and 4 months. He broke up with me after he graduated (he's 3.5 years older than me). I had a really hard time when we broke up, but why does it still sneak up on me like this?! We've stayed friends (or so I thought) ever since we broke up. We'd get together once a month or so and it was like nothing had changed from when we were dating. I found out in late May that he had a new girlfriend and that has me started missing him all over again. I was talking to my mom the other day and she mentioned that he's bringing her to a wedding that my mom was invited to. Now, I *knew* in my head that he was probably going to bring her. Weddings are things that you bring your girlfriend to. I think my heart just found out today though. It hit me in the car on the way home how much I still love him and miss him. I'm sitting here blubbering like a baby right now and it pisses me off. I wish I could just forget about him and stop putting myself through this, but I can't get over it for some reason. I hate this!!
I last heard from him in June. I think that's what's bothering me the most. Before this girl, we talked every couple of weeks on the phone and he would email me little jokes and notes all the time. All that has stopped and it hurts me as well as makes me mad. He was always telling me that I'm his friend and I'm such a good person and everything, but as soon as he gets a girlfriend *BOOM* no more talking to me. I'm not going to make the next move because I've made it perfectly clear that I care about him and that he's very important to me. If he really thinks I'm such a good friend and person, he should make some kind of effort to at least check in every now and then.
Oh well, it's not doing me any good to babble about this. I have to go get rid of all of these tears so that I can go out with my friends tonight. We're going to a comedy club. Maybe at least that can make me laugh.

I got a 128MB memory upgrade for my home computer yesterday, so it's flying now. I was trying to update some web pages over the weekend and having 2 or 3 applications open at one time was making it absolutely crawl! I priced the upgrades on the Internet yesterday and then went to check out CompUSA last night to see how much they were charging and they had it for $10 less than the Internet stores. I ended up getting 128MB for $169.99.
My friend, Leighann, came to visit last night with her little boy, Nathaniel. They came to pick me up and we went to the mall for a while. Nathaniel is *so* cute! He's a little over 6 months old, but looks like a 1 year old. His father is about 6'5", so I think Nathaniel is going to be a big boy too!
I didn't buy anything at the mall because I still hadn't gotten my new debit card (did I mention that I lost the old one?). I checked the mail this morning before I came in to work and it was there, so now I'm equipped to be a shopper again.
This lady who sits next to me is annoying me today. I sit in a cube farm and my cube is a pretty large one that is shared with 2 other people. It's pretty close quarters and every time the lady to my right sits down she sighs "OK" or "Let's see what trouble I can get into now" or something similarly stupid. She's speaking to no one in particular, but it's really annoying. I listen to headphones for most of the day and I can even hear her through those! I miss the days of having my own cube.

I am still alive contrary to what I thought was going to happen last night. Some idiot knocked on my door at a little after midnight asking for someone named Juan. I wouldn't open the door and just told him that he had the wrong house. I was convinced that this person was knocking on my door to kill me. I was very paranoid for the next couple of hours and finally got to sleep at around 2:00am.
I was supposed to go to a movie last night with my friend, Che, but he blew me off in favor of going to a bar with his boss. It would have really pissed me off if I had been looking forward to going, but I didn't really want to go anyway because I was tired and it was hot outside. I told him it was OK, but I think I should have been a little pissy with him because he'll think it's OK to blow me off now. He says that he'll make it up to me with dinner some night on him, so we'll see.
Haven't done much today. I need to finish cleaning my apartment and go grocery shopping sometime. I've done a little laundry, but mostly I've been sitting in here at the computer updating my web page. I just found the page of a friend of mine and it looked so good that it made me want to re-do mine. I've added a few pictures of my apartment. I could add more if I would go and clean my bedroom! It's such a laaaazy Sunday!
I finished tatting a little heart that I've been working on. It turned out really well even though I put too many stitches in the last chain. I'm also working on a couple of doilies, but they're nowhere close to being finished. I think I'm going to go work on them now though. Bye!

I am really annoyed right now. I am a computer programmer and I have been working on a program for a woman in my company for the last week. From day one on this project, she has been hassling me by constantly asking when it will be done. She puts return receipts on all of her emails so that she can tell when I open them and then if I don't answer fast enough after reading them, she emails again asking the same question. I figured out a way to get rid of the return receipts before I open the emails though so at least one annoyance is gone. Well, I worked all last week and got this program finished for her. Now she's asking for a pretty complex feature that I've never done before and wants to know exactly how long it'll take. I told her that it would take quite a bit longer than our other option and that I couldn't really judge how long because there was a learning curve involved. She emailed back again wanting to know how many days it will take to add this feature. GRRR! I'm about to scream. I *cannot* judge how many days it will take me to do something I don't even know how to do yet. I have to look up how to do it, figure out how to apply that knowledge in this current situation and then actually do it. It cannot be estimated!!!!!!!! I am a good programmer and I can accomplish what she wants, but it will take me exactly as long as it takes me. It's not like I'm some slow poke that must be continually pestered or the work won't get done. I'm constantly being praised for my quickness in programming. It just pisses me off when people badger me about how long it'll take to do something. Sorry for the rant. I'm just going crazy here!!! I'm tempted to just tell her it'll take a month to do just so she'll get off my back.

Today, I'm playing hookie from work. I woke up this morning so very tired and feeling as if I might fall over at any moment. There is nothing much going on at work today, so I called in sick and went back to bed. This is not something I normally do, in fact I haven't had a sick day since I started with this company (real or fake), but I just didn't think I'd make through the day without snoring if I went in.
I went to dinner at my new friend's house last night. I met this girl who lives in the next apartment complex over (about 1/4 mile away). I met her on the Internet. I saw something that she had posted on the Internet saying that she was from Akron, so I just emailed her to say hi and tell her that I was from Akron too and we found out that we live so close together. She's really nice...I like her a lot. We've gone to a few things together, and then last night I had dinner with her and her husband. We're the same age and we have a lot of the same interests, so I'm glad that I made this new friend.
Well, I am cooking some chicken to make a casserole for lunch so I had better get in there and make sure it isn't burning. I'll write more about my fabulous (ha) day off later.
