We had playgroup at Kelly's house today and I had so much fun soothing baby Taylor! He cries just like Max did - incessant and adamantly. His mom looks ragged, but she had a girl last time, so I don't think she was quite ready for the amount fo work boy infants are. He's a funny little one...anyways, I kept touching his belly while he was in the swing (I could tell his tummy was bothering him), and he liked that, but eventually i had to pick him up out of it and rocked and sang. Nobody could believe that he calmed down almost immediately! His mom had been struggling to do the same all morning. Everybody said, "and you're not having another baby?!?" and I said, "Well we probably will in about 5 years". I loved it! I smell like newborn now and I love that, too. God - what hormones!!! I can hardly wait to have another one or to take care of somebody else's little one. That way I can have one that's perpetually small! :) Good plan? We'll see when we're in Colorado!

Well my mom came over today, but we didn't end up going to Daffodil Meadow like we had planned, just stayed home. But I did tell her we're going to Colorado after Frank gets his MCSE. She replied, "Oh, that would be sad..." and got pretty quiet for a while so I know she understands. That's all I told her for now. I just had to say something to prepare them.

Maxwell and I went to the Friendly Home this morning - the Mom's Club put on an easter egg hunt there. He was so excited! Some of the eggs were filled with goldfish and others were filled with jellybeans and stickers. A bunch of little girls were wearing little easter dresses and hats. How adorable! Ever since last Tuesday, Jackie has let me help her with Madeleine, and Tracy asked me to watch Ethan for a couple minutes today while she re-parked her car...I love that they feel comfortable having me watch their little kids! They're such fun kids. I would love to have another one, but I guess the timing is just no good. In all truthfulness, the thought of pregnancy really scares me - mostly because of all the doctor types...and the damage to my own body. The doctors scared me to death and threatened me when I was pregnant with Maxwell. They practically convinced me I was either going to have a severely handicapped child or that I was killing him. Not to mention, all those appointments make those nine months seem like 20. Well, if I did do it again, at least I would know what to watch out for... Well it's about time I told my folks about our move to Colorado, I really wish they could realize where I'm coming from and just visit a whole lot so they can watch Maxwell grow up. They are going to be very sad to see Maxwell go. I don't know what I'd do if I was them...I know they're going to feel like they're losing their daughter and their grandson. I kind of feel bad for Maxwell, too. He loves them very much and he's not going to be able to understand why we can't see them anymore. My mom was gone for a week and he kept asking for her. And what about his little friends? And mine? This is rediculously tough on me right now, but I don't know what else to do.

Well my car is finally fixed - no more exhaust to breathe in every time I take a ride! I bet Maxwell's cough starts to get better now that it's fixed...no more riding around with the windows open just so we don't asphixiate! Rumor has it that that my uncle quit working for my dad today, a very big deal considering he's been working with him for like 25 years, he's the VP, and they've been shorthanded for about two years now. Who knows what will happen to the business, but I maintain that the best thing for them to do at this pont is to let my brother be in charge of the hiring/firing stuff. It's the only way that everyone won't disprespect everyone else working together. Blah, blah, blah one could go on forever about that business...

Maxwell counted from 13 to 19 this morning! Before this, he could count up to 13 or 14 and get stuck "12, 13, 14, 14, 14, 14..." We'll see if he will voluntarily count in order from 1 to 19 though, one can never tell. You'd think he'd understand that 1,2, and 3 are always at the beginning, but maybe not! It's funny, he still has a few things to work out - at our last playgroup he said, "Michaela hit me!", but she is so meek and shy we all knew it wasn't her. I explained to everyone that right now he thinks all little girls are Michaela and all little boys are Ethan - the first two kids names in our playgroup that he learned. After saying this, Caitlin bet that it was Tess. She is definitely much more vivacious than Michaela! He also says,"Why not?" is all sorts of inappropriate places...I think he gets "why", but never asks it. He only asks why not when I tell him to do something like "go downstairs"! Silly kid. We've started putting him to bed at 8:30 now instead of 9:00, which was just too late for us to have any energy or time to spend together!

Well I'm gogin to Tai Chi tonight because Frank needs to study. Unfortunately, the reason I don't particularly like that class is because I never feel wildly better after taking it...isn't that the whole point? The guy who teaches it just doesn't seem to have a strong hold on why he's doing any of it - the most important part. The moves are cool, but after a while you just zone out, which he *says* is the point. That doesn't seem exactly right to me, but oh well. I'll have to start taking different classes while he studies, this one is losing my interest. Yoga is great tho. In other news, I just signed Maxwell up for baby swimming lessons! I'm so excited. He's gonna be so cute as a waterbaby!

We just got back from playgroup - the highlight of every week for me. I just love those kids and their moms! Jackie (my favorite mom in the group) keeps telling me that I'm just so good with kids that I HAVE to have another one, how crazy her boy Collin was as a baby (just like Max) but how amazing and sweet her little Madeleine is...I know it would be true if we had another little one. It would be a sweet little girl, I just know it. But, I don't think we'll ever cross that bridge. And, with Colorado, I'm going to have enough problems missing our playgroup! Those women are all so strong, they make me know I could do it all again, and be more chill the next time. Without them, I 'm not so sure. If I had their support when Max was little, I think it would have been SO much easier, but I guess everything happens the way it's supposed to.

Uh, the start of another long week...I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my Mom's Club playgroup to go to on Mondays. Maxwell and Frank started out the day yelling/crying over whether the radio should be on. I just woke up exactly one minute before all the commotion. Maxwell doesn't respond unless you treat him as an equal and Frank has the tendency to order him around. That really bugs me. Of course, Maxwell wasn't listening either, but I think a difference in approach would have made a big difference.
