aimee's little brother adam is so afraid of me. it was his birthday last weekend, so i'm tryin to give him birthday punches. i gave him 6 at lunch, then he yelled at me to stop, so i stopped, but i told him he'd get em all eventually. every time he sees me now, he literally runs down the hall until he can't see me anymore. man what a spaz.

after school i was walkin around lookin for clubs to take pictures of. i gotta take 27 pictures by friday, but there don't seem to be any clubs meeting. anyways, nathan and sonya had nuttin to do, so they walked around with me. when adam saw me and ran away, i said "that kid is the biggest spaz" and sonya goes "he's aimee's brother, what do you expect?" so i looked at her and said "what's that supposed to mean?" that shut her up.

in study hall, aimee had a barrel of monkeys. i would just like to say that i linked all sixteen. hell yeah, i rule.

man, i'm bored. i guess i could be studying for SATII chemistry, but i already did a chapter today. i wish i could drive. home. right about now. crap i have 45 minutes left.

just rented exit wounds with laura and sam. actually, they showed up at my house with it, i didn't pick it. it's a bad action movie starring steven seagal and dmx. don't watch it. it's not that good.

Tim Lee
mr wass's room has a window with blinds. me and adam were shovin each other in front of them, then he pushed me wicked hard, but one of the loops to work the blinds had somehow fallen around my neck, stopping me abruptly by my throat. that hurt. a lot.

we had an assembly about the recent terrorism today. all those who wished to go up on stage and talk were welcome to. the only problem was that tons of 7th graders went up and said the exact same thing. (when i first heard about it... i felt bad... scared... i'm sorry to all those who were hurt... etc...) there's nothing wrong with what they said, but it was so redundant. a few people said some interesting things though. this one kid proclaimed himself to be a hardcore anarchist punk, and graham quoted song lyrics. nevermind, no he didn't. corey stood up there for three minutes without saying anything, then said "that best sums up the events" and walked off stage.

weezer rules.

man, i hate stupid people. i can't believe there are actually people like that out there, so quick to make blanket statements and generalizations and point fingers at those who are different. i mean, i don't think i have to explain why that guy is a fucking asshole moron, but just knowing that there are tons more fucking asshole morons where that guy came from makes me uneasy. do you have any idea what kind of hate crimes will spawn from this.

i'm embarassed to have someone like that as one of my countrymen.

on a lighter note, yeah, delma was funny. nug sees russ, runs up to him and hugs him, spinning him around. delma gets angry at nug because he could hurt someone. she told him to keep his hands to himself. but nug was happy to see russ! are we not allowed to hug anymore?

How can people be so... closemindedviolentcrazy? I mean, that guy is calling for an the systematic imprisonment/eradication of muslims from the United States.

I am as equally apalled, if not more so.

Graham M.
Well...I lost faith in the world today...for example take FoxNew's article "American's Share One Voice over Internet" featuring such posts as this one: Stafford Long:
"The time has come for the anger that all Americans feel to be brought to bear against the cowardliness of those who follow the Islamic faith. This attack…is not only an attack on peace, democracy, freedom, and the American way of life, but is an attack on Christianity and calls for the next crusade. If we bow down to this attack we have no credibility left whatsoever. It is time for all Muslims living in the United States to be found, their passports and visas revoked, and be deported from our country. "

"These terrorists are able to conduct their operations here because they live here in obscurity. Today, they are the polite and benevolent doctor, computer programmer, businessman, or taxi driver, and tomorrow they are killing thousands of innocent Americans. We have left the door to America too open for too long. Just like one would not leave the front door of their house open at all times so should the United States close their doors. We have let the enemy in and look what has happened. We must respond swiftly and with the fury felt by our American citizens. "
Are you as outraged at that as I am...I once believed that everyone carried a common good inside of them...however...there goes that idea....sigh..graham

Indeed I was. I was amazed at the spectacle that ensued when Adam ran up with Josephson right behind me.

hmm..open house sucks....hmm...nice work tim i wish i lived next to you oh well...ya...grahmdfmhmam

Tim Lee
heh russ, you're so funny.

nat says that more buildings collapsed. hmm. suck.

today was the day of the bike jump. after school corey, ed, me, ben, and adam went down to the pond with ed's 5-foot launch ramp, where we proceeded to hurl ourselves through the air. each jump could easily have been 15 feet high and 10-20 feet out. this kid billy was also there, and even though he doesn't bike, he was able to throw down a superman seat grab. corey did a buncha backflips and also a superman frontflip dismount. ed did so many things i can't even name. me, i just jumped as high as i could and threw the bike. but it was FUN. good thing we taped it all. pictures and possibly videos coming soon.

then i went for some more driving time. i'm a good driver. yup.

at drivers ed, during break, i went out for a quick session. soon enough, 3 BMXers came along and started showin me up, peg grinding the gratuitously waxed curb and manualing across the parking lot. oh well, at least i finally nailed ollieing the sand gap behind the laundromat, even if i ripped up my arm in the process. it's still bleeding. mmm...

time to start my jane eyre essay. it's due tomorrow. argh.

Maria Varmazi
yea i'm on upper west and i can tell you that cloud of smoke is HUGE. last night actually the streets were a little emptier than usual but not necessarily empty, and actually a lot of people were out on foot going about their business, shopping, eating, watching TV in bars, etc. had one not known about the WTC one might have thought it was a relatively quiet but otherwise normal night.

Russell Stadler
I can't say I thought this up, but...

Somebody set U.S up the bomb.

i just spent an hour on the phone with natasha, who lives in upper east side manhattan. she says that the streets are empty, and all she can hear is sirens and fighter jets. it's so unbelievable, it's so surreal, how all this happened.

well, anyways, i made a makeshift grindrail at graham's today, but he didn't have the right sized wood screws or washers to install the brackets. instead, we put one screw in each pvc pipe and taped them together. due to lack of other building materials, we couldn't raise the pipes very high, but it doesn't matter because i 50-50'd for the first time ever today. and i made it all the way to the end of the pipe and landed out of it three times. aw hell yeah.

tool is an awesome band.

i can't believe it! it's so easy to get my mind off it, but only for a few moments, then i remember the horror and chaos i saw on tv earlier today, and find it difficult to grasp the concept that THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IS GONE. planes, flown into them, then they crumbled, and so many other details that i'm sure have been branded into your heads for countless hours on tv today.

aiii...

Tim Lee
i can't believe it, it's like a movie or something. it's one of those things you know happened, but didn't really. it's like fiction on the news. but i know it's real, and that's scary.

i don't know what to think. i don't know what's going to happen now. are we about to go into world war 3? or is this the start of the gradual decline of the united states? what if we never find out who did anything, and are therefore unable to retalliate? then many more terrorist organizations would see us as weak and take advantage of our inability to defend ourselves by striking more frequently.

and what's gonna happen to the country's - and the world's - financial situation? the commodities market has been destroyed and financial districts all over the nation have screeched to a halt. there isn't a single commercial airplane flying over the US right now, which is unprecedented, at any given moment there's like 4000. so many things have changed in just a few hours, and so many things will change now that this has happened.

this is so hard to grasp.

unfuckingbelievable.

this has been the biggest attack on the united states ever. i don't think there's any way there could've been less casualties in new york and dc today than there were at pearl harbor. i'm seriously concerned about the fate of our nation.

Maria Varmazi
I can see the smoke cloud from my room, it's crazy. Today has been crazy. Osama bin Laden is extremely crazy and needs to be killed ASAP

Russell Stadler
Pardon my overreaction. I just felt that it needed to be said, even though, in retrospect, it really didn't.

Aimee Richard
duuude this is freaky. it's on every channel man, everything's STILL smoking.

i get to drive the maxima cuz um.. i begged. hehe

Russell Stadler
WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE. They're coming for the USA! AAAAAHHHHH
