Johnathan Daniel Williamson was born on 3/31/2000. 9 pounds 8 ounces. 21 inches. Mother and baby are doing well.

We meet the pediatrician this week. Friday. We'll take the last breatfeeding class.

Baby isn't here yet. The baby has dropped though. It'll be any time soon. We went to a baby safety and breastfeeding class last week. This week we will go to the other breastfeeding class. We also went to a consignment sale this past friday. We bought about 300-400 dollars worth of stuff for 80 dollars. I'd say that is an extreement improvement. Don't you? I reviewed the child birth book last week. I needed to get straight on the proper breathing techniques. We hope to practice more this week. 11 more days to the due date!

Baby isn't here yet. We're waiting. Today, Lloyda thought that the baby was moving less that usual. Of course, I became concerned. Lloyda paged the doctor. The doctor told her to check the frequency of the baby's movements. If the baby moved less that 5 times within two hours, Lloyda was to call. Thankfully, the baby moved more than 5 times during the two hours. Thinkin of Jonathan Noel if the baby is a boy and Danielle Alexis if the baby is a girl.

I've competed assembling the bassinet. Took me two hours to assemble the base. I assembled the top about a week later. This bassinet is the type that can convert into a toy bin after the baby no longer fits needs the bassinet. We've gotten a few shower gifts, like a diaper pail, onesies (?) blankets, bottle kits. I continue to look at my wife and wonder how we're going to adjust to this new baby. I know that there's a couple of things that I need to do to prepare for the baby at the office. I need to file for a leave of absence so that I can be around to help my wife after the baby is born. I figure I'll probably file three weeks for a leave of absence. My wife has a shower today. My in-laws are in town for that event. We participated in a desert shower given by her co-workers. Thanks! Lamaze class is finished. We're not practicing breathing as often as we should. The urine smell is still there but muted after applying odor treatments. Lloyda also is sleeping in the recliner in our bedroom. I lugged it upstairs a few weeks ago. Heavy!

The carpet was cleaned yesterday. I have to check to see that that smell of urine is gone. D.H. offered to give us some baby stuff. I have not done the touch ups as yet. 8 weeks left. I felt a bit overwhelmed yesterday in Lamaze class. I'm hanging there though. Lloyda is having some trouble sleeping. She has to sleep upright nowadays.

The baby's room is painted. I had help from Gene and Mel and Craig. Thanks guys! The room is now a bright/dark yellow. I don't know what the actual color is but it definitely gets your attention. I have some touch up work to do. Next on the agenda is purchasing a dryer, a bassinet and having the stanley steamer folks come out to clean the room. Kenya decided that she wanted to pee on the carpet when she was disatisfied with the state of the litter box.

The room has been painted. I had Craig to give me a hand. (Thanks Craig). We'll apply the second coat on Monday. We sued Crayola paint, a deep gold. Lamaze class is tomorrow.

Lamaze class taught us about effacement and dilation. She also talked about false labor and real labr ( the differences). I got to massage my wife's hand and I learned about the different labor positions. Women don't sit on their backs to deliever babies anymore. We learned breathing techniques also. 10 more weeks to go. We need to purchase a vidoe cameara soon. The baby room needs painting! [a reminder].

Tonight we attend the second Lamaze class. Nothing more done on the room as yet. I had earmarked Sunday as a possible day to paint but we have not purchased the paint as yet. I don't know how much gallons of paint to purchase.

We do not know the sex of the child. But... if its a boy, we'll name the child Jonathan and if the child is a girl, we'll name her Danielle. I wonder why we choose Danielle?. We have not figurred out middle names yet. We know that we don't want Jonathan to have a long name so his middle name will be short. The middle name for Danielle? We tried Danielle Simone but a buddy of ours told us that was the name of a porn star. We're at Danielle Alexis < I think> but we have to make a decision soon.

Lloyda is 29 weeks. We wen to a Lamaze class last night. We learned about proper exercise. Also, it is important to ingest protein because the baby's brain is developing now.
