well all i can say is i had a bad day the last time i blogged but to day has ben unbelievible,
for starters i went to my church refreshed and was able to come the closest to a good worship experiance this summer. and then i came home and rested a bit. then me and the a formentioned female, that happens to be my best friend, went out. me and her allways have a blast when we hang out but today was just exceptional. we went out by the air port and i took some picks of planes landing and she sketched and we had some really good conversation. then we went to EZ's ( an excelent cafe resturante thingy) ate talked more ( some thing that we are both rather well), and its really refreshing to have some one talk more than me. we then went and saw "the others" which is a great scary movie. if you liked "what lies benieth" you will like this. its not a slasher flick just a genuinely intense and frightening movie. i got freaked and so did she which is good cause we are bothe spazes in movie theaters, she at one point got so freaked that she cleard a good 3 inches off her seat. but any hoo it was just a really good night, and despite all my past frustrations with this particular girl i feel really refreshed about our friend ship and all my romantic longings. tonight God really gave me a great peace about it, because i saw what he had been doing this summer and i feel really good about us, and just bein friends. i dont know if we will ever end up together or not or what will happen if we do, but i do know that she is probibly the best friend i have ever had, and that i doubt i will meet any girl like her. but i dont know what God has up his sleeve in store for me.
enough of that rant its time for bed

greetings, all
do you ever feel taken for granted? i mean, the type of taken for granted where the subject at large doesn't even realize they're doing it, so therefore it's 50 bajillion times as hard to recover over? because, really, it's one thing for someone to know they're taking advantage of you and for you to know it and be ok with it. this is not the type i'm talking about. sometimes a bit of appreciation is nice. remember that.
well, that over with, it's time to move on to my other favorite subject....packing. luckily, it's not been so bad so far -- however, my ever-growing shoe pile has yet to be conquered. and dad hasn't packed the van yet. but otherwise, it's going well. it's been fun buying a few things for myself seeing as only i have the room to occupy this year. we all know what that means...double the wall space for me to tack up my ever-so-interesting wall decor!!!! in doing so, i've taken advantage of our brand-spankin' new SUPER TARGET...i love target...you can only imagine the fun i'm having in a super center one.
anyways, that's all for now...i read a great quote this morning, but i didnt write it down (even though i told myself i should have) so that's that. have a good day, kids.

Thank you Daisiemae. And don't worry. Everyone tells me that it's normal not to be sure of what you want to do in college. Personally, I've changed my future profession twice. But I think I finally have it now. You've got time.
I went up for my Uncle's funeral this weekend. It wasn't too bad. Most of my family was there swapping their favorite stories about him and laughing and catching up with each other. I even got to meet my mysterious and elusive Aunt Ruth. The viewing was probably the worst part of the whole weekend. Terrible to see someone you know and love just lay there dead and covered with makeup.
Worse to see someone that's still alive touching the dead guy. Ugh.
Night all. ~Malacandra~

malacandra, i am deeply sorry.
hello. i write today for no particular reason, just because i clicked on the button and started to type....so that means i have no idea what will come out in this typing session.
i just got home from being out with my boy. he's been out of town since tuesday, so i was glad to see him. oddly enough, tomorrow I'LL be out of town, which stinks because i was supposed to do something with his family. oh-well...there's always sunday nite dinners at his house. well, actually there's only one more sunday nite dinner....i leave next friday. a week from today. i'm not really sure what to do with that. it doesnt feel like it should be time for that yet, but it feels like i've been away from school for a very long time. i'm ready to come back. i'll be sad to leave home and my boy (mostly my boy), but i'm ready for my life of freedom that i live at school. it's stressful living here, it really is.
i'm in a melancholy mood right now....i dont really know what to type and as i sit here and look at the daisies i bought today to sit in my windowsills at school, i'm not really sure what to think. i'm torn between 2 worlds. and i've discovered that my once perfect career may not be really what i wanted to do. i guess we'll just see where that one takes me.
but that's all for now...i dont really have anything else to say. more later
stay safe, kids ~daisiemae

I think my head my explode: I have most of the signs.... In other news I hope to finance my new 2001 Voltswagon Jeta TDI by Selling my body
Now for those of you not in the know, I Netalix have been doing a study of Zen. Having read about it, studied it, and looked into it. I think I've found a story that represents... It, exactly: R I G H T
If you check out a book at the E-library and forget to return it, do they send you an E-bill that you can pay with E-money?
hmm, Perhaps my brother could make the olympic freestyle team with some training like this
Only useful for geeks like ... well me. Tag of the week or CSS on crack
"Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people so meet me at the mission @ midnight we will divy up there." --The refreshments (who seemed to have gone up to that great refreshments stand in the sky.
Page 4. Ok, admit it. Admit that you read the attachments that you randomly got from the SirCam virus. admit it. So far I've gotten 16 e-mails all with larger than 100k attachments most of which were random snippets of code. I think it would be really funny if someone put up a page of all the captured attachments. Heck send'em my way and I'll put up the page.
all I can say is PREACH IT BROTHER
On the rant note I'll checkout. -Netalix

well, kids, it's been a long time.
yes, tis i, daisiemae, of the far-away-from-anywhere-near-school-or-people-i-know-there daisiemaes...writing to you in the first time since i've been home. life is not incredibly overly interesting at the moment...just doing random things. tuesday nite, however, i did venture downtown with my guy, his mom, and his grandma (the 4 of us together are quite amusing to watch, if i do say) to the Murat to see "Phantom of the Opera". fantastic show. i love live theater. i love the atmosphere, the company, the "getting-dressed-up-because-i-finally-have-somewhere-important-to-go" feel (because, honestly, getting dressed up to go into the city is a whole lot of fun). then yesterday was my guy's birthday...he had some friends from school come down and i was the only girl. it was a blast, we laughed a lot and had a great time. (the only girl thing i'm totally used to...i felt like i was at school...my boys understand what i'm saying). HOWEVER....ONE WORD OF ADVICE. are you ready? this is the ultimate in advice...heed this and you may just be a successful human being.
DO NOT GO SEE JURASSIC PARK 3.
it is horrible. the bad parts? an 8 year old kid survives on an island full of dinosaurs for 8 weeks...his parents get there and everyone else lasts about 20 minutes. it's completely illogical. however, my favorite austrocity is the ringing dinosaur. yes, a dinosaur (that never even existed, i might add...they made him up) swallows a satellite phone and then the people on the island can keep track of him when he starts ringing. the best part, however, is when that dinosaur excretes said phone and the people dig through his well, droppings, to retrieve it. another part is when raptors suddenly became the smartest creatures on earth, outmastering primates. when a raptor knows to snap a human's neck to kill it, you know you're sitting in fantasy land. my guy leaned over to me during this part and said he next expected them to come out and sing show tunes.
anyway, never see it. the hour and a half may go by quickly, but you'll wonder what you gained by sitting there for that long.
a new cd to check out...sheà seger...if you like sheryl crow and dido, you'll love her. her album's titled "the may street project".
and as always, a quote: "almost everything that is great has been done by youth" ~benjamin disraeli i like that one....live up to your potential.
until next time, ~daisiemae

I spent the weekend visiting my uncle, who is dying of cancer. A little less than a year ago, they found a small tumor. Now the cancer is so out of control he has stopped his treatments and Hospice has been called in. He has all of the funeral arrangements taken care of, but he's still afraid of what's ahead. He's been going to church, and we spoke to some of the friends he's made there. Hopefully they can help him find peace on this one last thing.
This is hard. My uncle has been a strong person as long as I've known him. Always in charge, always a presence. But now he's reduced to a little old man in a recliner who has to take about 12 different pills every day just to control the pain. He's spaced out. Barely the man I remember. :(
