I see Dave over at Scripting News had the same idea as i did for the day. "BTW, here's an algorithm for getting out of the clutches of the disaster. Turn off the TV. Turn off NPR. Write some code. Cook some food. Don't call a friend. Hole up. Dig in. Have fun. Shhh. Don't tell anyone."

CoreDumpz. I've spend a good portion of my afternoon updating CoreDumpz from phpNuke 5.0 to 5.2. Like always the upgrade scripts don't work quite right, so did a lot of work by hand. There are also a few minor bugs, and hopefully the only data lose was the opening message, the new system uses a new way so it just dropped the old table. During the middle of updating things, the hosts mySQL server died so i had to wait for that to restart. Now i've spent the last couple of hours gathering news, so hopefully we can start to move on some.

Last night Camille and I cooked. We had Artichoke and Crab Beignets With Remoulade. They were great, we watched Emeril cook them on Food TV the other night and just had to try them. I've been watching lots of Food TV lately and have been enjoying the Iron Chef , something i've never watched before, and Emeril is great also. I've decided that i'm going to cook at least one Emeril dish a week. I just love our new kitchen and we finally have all the pots and pans to cook properly.

At the Pentagon: Response Hampered by Confusion, Lack of Preparedness (washingtonpost.com)
"Two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled immediately in response to the FAA notice, but they did not take off from Andrews Air Force Force Base. Andrews is only 15 miles from the Pentagon, but it had no planes on alert for continental air defense. Instead, the jets departed from Virginia's Langley Air Force Base, about 130 miles from the Pentagon. Two minutes after they made it into the air -- and with another 20 minutes to go before reaching the skies over Washington -- American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon, killing 188 people, including everyone on the plane."

I think next weekend i'm going to get a new video card for my linux box. I wasn't planning on doing much but development on it but now there are some other things i would like todo and my generic VGA card just want cut it. So this week i need todo some research on a nice one, at a good price.

Ok so today, i'm doing some video editng on my video box, some pdf conversions on my workstation, and i'm tweaking and updatiing my Linux box. I'm trying to get things easy to read on the linux box, i'm dealing with fonts and things trying to overcome the bad defaults.

The Images That Won't Let Us Go (washingtonpost.com) This is exactly what i've been going through for the last 5 days. I've read hundreds and hundreds of web stories, been logged in to #news on IRC constantly, and watched more news shows and listend to more news radio than i can ever rember doing before. I'm trying to get back to a "normal" schedule now. So today i did some different things, although, in the back of my mind i was still wondering if there were any new developments, and that will be in my mind and others for weeks and months to come.

Well last night, i just couldn't take any more news. I had to get out and see
family and friends.
I just got this link in email from CoffeCup software, who hosts one of my other websites,
looks like its getting hammered at the moment so the image may or may not be showing.
