vague mumblings

So this morning on the tube I had someone step on my foot, lean her entire weight on my arm and whack my back with their arm whilst I'm reading the free rag. I love public transport.

I really do have very little of interest to say. Does that say anything about me? I hope so.

Tried a very expensive restaurant yesterday. 6-13
Sample menu:
Chicken Consomme with Matzo Balls and Lockshon. Common Name: Chicken Soup
Chicken Liver Pate with Toasted Farmhouse Bread. Common Name: Chopped Liver.
Nice though - if a wee bit too dear.

Ok, Lowdown from the Vegas Trip...

Got delayed at Chicago Airport - O'hare has to be the worst airport in the world. Nightmare.
Finally made it to the town of tack - Caesars is big *understatement*.
Grand Canyon trip got cancelled 4 days in a row - weather conditions were not good. Rain, cold - not what I expected.
Had to spend most of the time at te Blackjack tables. Shame.
Hired a car to Death Valley...Desolate but peaceful.
Finally made Grand Canyon on the Friday - plane, helicopter and bus - worth the wait - well the helicopter was.

What was Vegas Like?
Bar the weather, checked out most - if not all the casinos/hotels on the Strip...
Mirage, Bellagio, Caesars, Mandalay Bay were tops - followed by Venetian.
Liked the Monte Carlo also - probably because it was the only place I won at.

Kept missing out meals - lost track of time - the casino psychology of no windows and clocks obviously works.

Shows and stuff Lowdown:
EFX - with Rick Springfield. Poo
Blue Man Group - NY coolness in Vegas
Lance Burton - trad magician - sometimes naff, sometimes good.
David Coppefield - surprisingly fantastic - considering previous opinion
Justin Tranz - stoopid name - weak act - could be better
Evander Holyfield v John Ruiz - better than I though - but then I did back Ruiz to win. Met Don King also.

My last day at my current job.
I suppose it should feel weird - but it doesn't. Read into it what you like..

Booked David Copperfield to see in Vegas - what cheese.
That with staying at Caesars, its pretty much Gorgonzola...

Ok, it was my birthday yesterday.
It was quite fun in the end - after a bit of a Billy-NoMates scare.
Got some nice pressies.
