I just added links to "quick info about students". It pulls (technically, from a database) some basic info about 30 different student characters. These will be the prototype students and I will expand on their info later. I'd like to have many, many more students to choose from, like a database of personality types. For now, however, 30 will do.
There's a pilot test now available!!! That's definite progress. It is the first operational bare-bones sneak peak. Mostly all of the features will be developed over the summer as well as the content. If you want to try it out now, use the Instructor's Token Code: 251.
I've started programming! I'm actually starting from ground zero, programming in PHP (using MySQL) to build the backend functionality of the site. It feels like I have SO much to go, but eventually it will be built little by little. ....at times I feel like I'm pushing an elephant up a flight of stairs, inch by inch, but I'm keeping with it. I've also created another draft (or two) of the proposal, so keep in mind that the "downloadables" on this site may not be my latest versions.
Progress! I now have "downloadables" posted on the site. The proposal is looking better each week and will probably develop into a chapter or two later on. I'm currently looking for dissertation committee members. Dr. Curtis Jay Bonk will chair it, founder and CEO of Courseshare.com and professor at IU.
Yeah, I know; there hasn't been a whole lotta shakin' going on in these web-based updates. I have been making some serious progress though. No, I didn't meet that 10/5 deadline but I am moving forward and that's what counts. My new (and improved) deadline for the proposal is in a week from now, 10/16. That's a pretty aggressive date to meet, and I don't think I'll make it, but I want to push myself. Setting unreasonably tight timelines can kickstart my priorities.
The proposal is due on Oct 5. I have a month to hunker down and crank out some serious research. [...a minute of shock... then...] AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [...what's left of my hair drops out in one clump].
