Now that you're here why not have a look around & see what takes your fancy?
You might find useful/interesting: my list of essential reading, or my galleries. Feel free to check out my portfolio of online work as well. And don't forget to tell me what you think in The Forum. |
Thursday, September 06, 20013:26:20 PMAs you may know I like to take photographs. I recently did a series of photographs called abstractions which I think is a good representation of the what interests me photographically. I'm not into photorealistic images, never have been. I like the ability of the camera to catch moments in time - to capture motion, light, atmosphere, and mood - as fleeting, constantly changing, blink-and-you-miss-it instances. These photographs are not completely abstract in the strictest terms but they are abstractions of an object, a person, a moment, a place seen through an eye that never rests too long on any one thing.
Tuesday, August 07, 20015:55:02 PMSometimes, as a designer you seem to slave away day after day and nobody notices all the work you put into making things nice to look at and easy to use. Today on the mixmag.net message board somebody noticed something I'd done and actually mentioned it completely off topic and out of the blue. How great. How rewarding. Hope you don't mind me singing my own praise. Hint: scroll down to bottom of page, look for post from Songs of Eden.
Monday, August 06, 20012:47:15 PMOh, Bongo Man where did you go? I stood there right in front of you at bongo level dancing and smiling. You looked down at me from the stage and smiled back. You kept smiling at me while you slapped your bongo's. I said hi, you said hi, and then you disappeared. Guess I could catch the next appearance of The New Cool Collective in Amsterdam but it's a little far to go for a smile. Bought your CD by the way.
Thursday, August 02, 20013:30:14 PMOk, this blog has been gathering dust for long enough. In honor of reviving the blog, or as what I like to call a Blog Renaissance, I bring you'Tiger man'. He's tattoed. He's got whiskers. His teeth are razor sharp. And he wants a fur graft. Can't wait for catman.com.
Tuesday, May 08, 20016:01:14 PMWere you in Oxford Circus on 1 May 2001? If so, see if you spot yourself in the crowd. I was there armed with camera in the cold and rain. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity for a few good riot pics. Unfortunately all the ones I took in those few frantic moments came out blurred. Must've been my fear, or perhaps my cold numb fingers impeding my focussing. I was lucky enough to be rescued by a very resouceful but worried husband who negotiated with a copper to come in and get me out. My work colleagues weren't so lucky. They were stuck until 9:00. | ||||||
